“Anacelia is a dog lover who took the time to meet with us in advance to make sure she knew what our dog would need during her stay. We felt comfortable leaving our dog with Anacelia and her family!”

“Ryan was our 1st experience using Rover, or any boarding service. We have a very large very anxious 3yr old dog, and Ryan made the experience smooth and worry free for myself & my dog. He sent great photos showing how relaxed & happy my dog was while we were away, which my whole family loved to see. Highly recommended using Ryan for any services he offers.”

“This was my first time leaving my dog, Jenga, with anyone other than family. I was very nervous, but Katie did everything to make me feel comfortable leaving my baby girl with her! We did a meet and greet before I left to make sure our dogs got along and sent me multiple pictures throughout me trip and updates on what they did that day! They played, did brain puzzles, ran around in the fenced in yard, and snuggled a lot!! Katie also is familiar with dogs who need medication and was able to give Jenga her medicine each morning! I have nothing but great things to say about her and my experience!!”

“Just picked my pups up from another stay with Coleen. She does an excellent job with the dogs, takes care of all their needs, and is a fantastic communicator. Great yard for the dogs to roam, and invites them into the home like they are her own. Already booked with Coleen for another stay later in the summer.”

“Lynda took very good care of my two dogs who can be a handful, especially one of them. She kept me informed and I could see that they were comfortable and made themselves at home by taking over the sofa as their spot.”

“Highly recommend Olivia! I’m new to the area and don’t know a lot of people so leaving my dog (Indy) for 5 days was very scary for me. Olivia answered all the questions I had to make sure I felt at ease leaving Indy with her. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior. She was very responsive throughout the stay and sent me a lot of pictures and videos to ensure Indy was okay! I could tell she quickly warmed up to Olivia and had a great time playing with her and the other dogs. We will definitely be back.”

“Dana made a last minute stay so easy and comforting! After our sitter had cancelled, Dana was willing to take our Berkley in for the weekend with no question. She gave us frequent updates and really gave our pup the exercise and attention he needed! Can’t thank her enough for being awesome!”
“I can’t recommend Amanda enough! She is very knowledgeable with dogs, especially large breed like I have. The environment is perfect with lots of yard to play in, and a calm family setting indoors which I know my guy loves.”

“Michelle treated our pup like he was one of the family! In addition to sending photos/videos and text updates during the week, she issued an unexpected detailed summary of the stay. If you're in the Ambler, Montgomeryville, Lansdale, Hatboro/Horsham and surrounding areas, we highly recommend Michelle!”

“Hiring Dana to dogsit Buster was the best decision. We usually board him at the vet, but wanted a change so that he would have a more social, active and fun experience. Dana was thoughtful, caring, communicative and flexible throughout the entire process (from booking to pickup). She took excellent care of Buster with specific attention to our requests. She sent us many wonderful photos of his daily activities, which included several nature and park walks. Buster had his own little vacation exploring new places while we enjoyed ours in complete peace of mind. We happily give Dana the highest praise and rating with respect to our experience with her. She is a true animal lover and a nice person.”

“Lexi took amazing care of our dog, Stormi! We were initially nervous about leaving her, but Lexi made the entire experience so much easier. She consistently sent us photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She also made sure Stormi got all of her medication on time, and it was clear she truly cared about her well-being. Knowing Stormi was safe, loved, and well cared for meant everything to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and we would absolutely trust Lexi with Stormi again. Highly recommend!”

“Deb took fantastic care of Sadie! She sent photos and a video of her fun time at her house with her new friend Gleason! We look forward to Sadie staying there again over the 4th of July weekend.”

“Theresa and her family watched our two senior dogs for 4 days while my family took a much needed trip to visit family over a holiday weekend. They provided a loving home and treated our dogs like part of their family and even got them in on their evening treat routine with their own dogs :) We received updates and pictures each day and we could tell they felt right at home and were more at ease than being in a kennel. Theresa will be the first one we check with next time we need someone to look after our pups!”
“They were absolutely great, definitely recommend! My dog Toby stayed with Jerrie and Xiao-Wei over the holidays and was clearly very happy there. Communication was great and Jerrie sent me pictures and updates throughout the stay. Toby didn't want to leave, we'll definitely be back!”

“Lee L. was awesome, courteous and professional she took great care of our puppy. She communicated with us prior and during the visit while povideing daily updates along with videos. Lee L., also was flexible with our request for an extended stay. This was our first time being apart from our puppy and she had a wonderful time!”

“Sarah is very experienced in dog sitting. I noticed this from our meet and greet. She knew exactly which questions to ask me. The weekend sitting went through without a hitch. And I have an active Pitbull Terrier who requires lots of attention. Not 1 issue the entire weekend.”

“Carole and her other guests welcomed Stevie and she came home very worn out! She is a high energy pup and Carole did great with her. Stevie can not wait to get back again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Colmar
Lauren and her family took great care of our dog, Jenny. Jenny, while a lovely little dog, is sweet and loving, she has her challenges, particularly with men. Her dad was a trooper! She also exhibited signs of anxiety during her stay, and Lauren ensured Jenny felt comfortable. Great experience! Thank you!
Daisy watched my two dogs while I was away for a week & she was awesome! I was so nervous to leave my babies behind, but Daisy sent photos/videos every day which made me much more comfortable. I could tell my girls had a great time. Daisy was very attentive and accommodated every request I had. I would highly recommend her to anyone who has a fur baby & needs a trustworthy sitter.

Jason took Maxi in on a short notice and took such great care of her! We are always nervous about leaving her with others but she just looked so calm and happy in all of the pictures that he sent, which put us at ease the entire time. I would highly recommend his services!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
