The Hounds' Hotel
Note: As our boy Bruegger gets older, we find he remains just as playful but less physically able to sustain rigorous play. If your pup is under the age of four but over 40 lbs and very keen on wrestling/contact play, unfortunately we will not be able to host your pup. Bruegger simply can't say no to the play but is suffering the effects. December 2024 we welcomed Miss Mildred Mulberry to our home. This senior cat is so very sweet and dog guests must be cat friendly or at least not scratch or bark at her door. Active and friendly household with three growing children and a friendly host pup. Our beautiful dog Ginger died in October 2015. We started fostering rescue pups in 2016. And in September 2018 we adopted our new pup Bruegger. In advance of any stay, you will be invited to meet Bruegger and any fosters that will be in the home for your dog's stay. Fully 4'-fenced yard makes indoor/outdoor days the usual. Space for quiet and for frolicking means any pup will be at ease in our home! Dog Guests must be comfortable with lively children, high activity levels, and their toys (most toys are kept in a dog-free zone elsewhere in the house). We also have three Roombas to help keep things tidy, so guests should be comfortable with robots moving around! We look forward to meeting you and introducing your pup to a loving home away from home!

Sarah was wonderful to both of my dogs. She was great at sending pictures and videos. She has a big back yard and it’s fenced in. Great for my high energy dogs. I highly recommend her.

Schedule
Dogs are a huge part of our daily routine and I can’t imagine it any other way! From the morning constitutionals or backyard romps to the late evening snuggles, Bruegger, fosters, and guests keep me company while I work from home (for the majority of the past 10 years) and keep up with our growing children!

I am delighted to care for your pups in our comfortable home for any of your overnight or day care needs. We have quite a collection of supplies to ensure your pup is safe, happy, and engaged during their stay. With a large fully fenced yard, plenty of comfy places to relax, and a family of humans to throw a ball or offer pets and snuggles, your furry friend will be loved in this home away from home while you are apart.

A typical day
Our dog Bruegger should take credit for being a playful and appropriate bandleader for all fosters and guests! Bruegger loves to run around if your dog is interested, or will be a solid companion if that’s the better fit. Guests may help me discover favorite walking routes on their stay or focus their time in our spacious fenced backyard. With an abundance of play toys for dogs (inside or out) when your pup is needing or wanting to get moving we’re ready!
