About: I’ve been an animal rescuer since childhood, and have raised my children (12-20) to do the same. My most recent official role in animal care and rescue has been via fostering dogs and cats through the Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia. Unofficially, I have been a proud dog mama for 11 years, and cat mama off and on since childhood. My resident doggo Patches is a proud foster father, and is comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages. If you have a pup or cat that could use a cuddle buddy while you are away, Patches is your guy. I am comfortable with and have experience in caring for cats, dogs, small mammals, birds, and small reptiles. I do have a particular aversion to cricket feeding, but we can make it work with super worms lol I do not know much about fish or amphibian care, but I am open to learning. It’s gets a little lonely in here 😊 I unfortunately do have a disability that impacts the right side of my body. Because of this, I am nervous about larger dogs that jump often (not just excited hellos), or who have strong prey drives and could potentially drag me on a walk. My dog Patches (50lbs) is walked with a gentle lead harness to keep things safe for both of us. I can handle dogs his size - or a bit larger - who do not jump, or who are low energy and would prefer to hang in the backyard rather than taking longer walks. I care for all animals as I would a human family member. I am comfortable with normal day to day care, as well as those who require special needs. I try to be very respectful of the personality of each pet. Some animals are nervous at first, and I’d like to respect their need for space and/or time to warm up to me. Other animals are excited to have a brand new friend, and I am too! Basically, I try to match the energy of who I am hanging out with.

I had originally booked Austin with Tyler for one week but due to housing issues I had to extend his stay. About: Hello, my name is Kaitlin! I love drawing and my muse are pets. I love animals and are often the subject of my art. I love to take my dogs out, it brings me joy seeing their tails wag as I say “Wanna go outside?” I believe a well exercised and a well fed dog is a happy one. I love all dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have cared for a total of five of my own dogs in my lifetime and I hope to take care of a lot more. I am confident in my ability to adapt to each pets specific needs. I like working with small dogs/lap dogs but I can work with bigger dogs too. I work from home, and I have plenty of time to play with your dog or take them on walks. I spend most of my day ar my desk, and I would welcome the extra encouragement to go outside and take the dog for a walk. I live with two other family members who love dogs, so your dog will never go without attention. If your dog is small, then I will happily let them sit on my bed while I work, and I'll reach over to give them pets whenever they want. Larger dogs are welcome to lie in a dog bed by my desk, or downstairs on the couch with me.

Very active family with a combination of young and senior dogs in the house. Experience with senior care as well as puppies. I live where I work! Clients go to work with me if appropriate or are checked on many times throughout the day. My office is walking distance from my house. Flexible working schedule. Very active household with access to fenced in areas as well as fields, woods trails and walking paths all at our residence. We have one senior dog, one 2 year old and one puppy who love dog sitting clients! Our young dogs love to play if yours enjoys that too!
“Amanda was great with cooper. I went away for 3 days and was nervous with leaving him because he is a high energy pup still learning. Amanda was very understanding and she was amazing with cooper. From the meet and greet to drop off/pick up it all went smoothly. He was so excited when we will pulled up for drop off basically wanting to jump out of the car cause he knew where he was going. He loved the big yard with the farm in the back with all the animals to look at. I also loved the daily morning pictures and updates.
