About: I have always grown up with dogs in my life, and wanted to be a Veterinarian since I was little. I have worked at multiple humane societies caring for the dogs, and have an array of experience through schooling, and an externship at a Pet Clinic. I care deeply for animals of all types, and I would like to spend the rest of my life ensuring their wellbeing, and protection. I am confident that I can provide quality care for your furry babies, and make sure they are comfortable and happy! About: I am a healthcare worker transitioning out of the medical field and into a different career and role of care. I am a huge animal lover and have grown up with cats and dogs my whole life with a specialty in senior dog care. We lost both of our senior dogs (one at 13, & one at 14 wonderful years) within a year of each other two years ago. Molly, our Border Collie was diagnosed with a blood disorder at age 8 which brought a lot of hospital visits, special needs, patience, and medication schedules. I have a special place in my heart for senior care. I have experience with rescues, senior animals, small dogs, timid dogs, and dogs that require a lot of exercise. Comfortable with all sizes and breeds, from Chihuahua's to German Short Hair Pointers to Cane Corsos, and all mixed breeds. From dog walking, overnight sitting, feeding, medication administration; all led with love, trust and reliability. My husband and are I building a hobby farm and homestead and I would love to have the opportunity to care for any and all animals. About: I have taken care of dogs from a young age and have always loved animals. I grew up with fish and turtles as well! We have a Shih Tzu Maltese mix that is friendly to all fur babies and humans. I am very reliable, punctual, and have always followed through with everything that I do. Rest assured that your fur baby will be safe with me. I decided to follow my passion in life. With that, I took a leap of faith to do what I truly love, which is caring for animals on a full-time basis! Hours are from 6 am-6 pm for doggy day care. If you are late in picking up your dog, there will be an additional $15 charge added to your total. We have a house with a completely fenced in and gated yard so your fur babies can roam around freely! I vacuum and mop on the daily as well! We do have split a/c units in almost every room. In addition, we maintain our property with pesticides that are safe for dogs to prevent fleas, ticks, and heart worm. To ensure a safe environment, we expect that your dog is on flea, tick, and heart worm medicine and are up-to-date with all vaccines.

About: Hello! My name is Shelby, my #1 passion is Dogs. I have had a Dog my entire life and would love to watch your Dog(s) for you. I'm from Seattle, WA but I currently live on the Big Island of Hawaii. Your Dog will love staying at my place, 3 acres in Hawaiian Acres, partially fenced with our friendly companion pups named Stinkaroo and Koa. "Stink" is a 50 lb rescue dog, Pitbull,Catahoula & Blue Heeler mix who is currently 4 years old, very friendly and submissive. Koa is a pitbull mix who is 2-1/2years old, also very friendly and has lots of energy. We also have an older pup who we rescued off the street. His name is Zeus and hes about 7 years old. He a bit of a mutt chihuahua, terrier mix. Zeus is smaller about 14 pounds, he is friendly but also can be a grumpy old man, very mellow. We lost 2 of our elder Dogs in 2019 to Cancer. Having new friends come and stay would be a joyful experience for all of us! Myself and my Husband both work from home, so we have lots of time to watch after your Dog and will never be left alone. For overnight visits, we are glad to send you pictures and updates Daily. We also offer drop offs and pick ups. Our Dogs sleep inside on a Dog bed or in our Bed. We do not chain up Dogs and prefer not to watch dogs that need to be chained up. We allow our Pup on the couch, but we are glad to follow all your house rules. If you have any questions, just ask! We'd love to do a meet & greet so we can make sure we're a right fit for you. Keaau, Kurtistown, and Pahoa are all 10 minutes from us. My husband and I work from home so we will have plenty of time to play with your pup, take walks, and potty breaks etc. We have a partially fenced in front yard, as well as a gate on our lanai so your pup can enjoy the nice weather safely. Anytime your pup is with us it will never be alone and will always be on leash when we go for walks, potty breaks etc. Our pups will also be here to keep yours company and happy. I work from home so I have a lot of flexibility when I am watching your pup. Potty break, walks, play time, out of the house adventures etc. I have raised a lot of pups, I am more than happy to follow certain rules/routines or any restrictions you may have for your pet regardless if they are in my home or at their own.

About: Hey guys, I have two dogs now and I've taken care of cats, dogs and birds since I was a kid. I love getting exercise with my dogs. I know how hard it is to find a good sitter (I am occasionally looking), so let me help you. If our schedules work out I am happy to help out! I work from home, so I am always around to help, talk to and keep company your loved pets. They will be cared for and in the company of my other frenchie's. I have a fenced yard. Within the fence we also have another fenced area in case one of the pets needs to be separated. It's a nice space because it's warm, with lots of toys and covered. We live on an acre, so taking walks is a plus! We allow the pets to sleep inside and we have lots of comfy beds.

Over more than a decade I've cared for different types of pets with differing energy levels. I'm quite comfortable nurturing an atmosphere that is both warm and peaceful as well as safe and secure for your loved ones while you're away. I enjoy all my furry friends smiling at me ready to enjoy the day and it is a bittersweet goodbye at the end of each booking. I love what I do, and miss the new friends I make when it's time to leave. My rates are set reflective of the caliber of service I offer which includes keeping your home secure and clean while you're away so that you return to happy pets and your home ready to settle back into hassle-free. My practice is to leave things better than I found them and treat your house like a home....you care for it...so do I. **I do offer house cleaning services as well** can discuss in person if interested. I answer each and every request as promptly as possible. Q&A: Q: What sets you apart from other sitters? A: First off, I'm an independent at-home worker. That give me the flexibility to meet needed medication schedules, etc. I will care for your pup in a quiet non-smoking environment. Pets can be anxious enough already without adding in the stress of other factors so I keep the environment as peaceful and calm as possible attentively caring for the unique needs of the pet I'm watching. Here are some examples of specific care I've offered: -Taking care of a 15 year old pitbull with grass allergies who required medicine in pill form injested once a day. -Snuggling with a pet pig.....yes! This pig got some loving from me :). He enjoyed his strolls around town in a stroller like a child and made me smile quite a lot. -Adventuring on a road trip to Texas to a Chihuahua farm (I love those yappers) where my sister, niece and I picked up our beloved "Isabella Clarece". She was quite the diva from birth....she had her own mini framed bed and baby pacifier and clothes. She tucked herself under the covers like a human and folded the sheets back perfectly over herself. Our baby ended up making some very gorgeous pomchi babies later! She was so memorable.... -Attentive care to a dog struggling with cancer. -Caring for a cat post surgery who had a specific protocol to follow after her operation. -Looking after a Maltese with PTSD on a medicine regiment and another pupper that had some severe anxiety and separation withdrawals but really calmed down under my care. -Taking care of Koi Fish -Emergency rush to the vet to have tumors accessed and later the vet recommended she be put down because the tumors had spread....sad story. Thanks to all my continuing clients and for new clients thanks again for the inquiries! Q: How does pet care fit into your daily routine? A: My schedule is flexible as someone who works independently so I can accommodate last minute bookings and emergency requests. I am generally at home with your animal unless I run a quick errand. Overall; I'm a pet lover. I know whoever I choose to care for my pet I want to know they will care for them as I would. When I'm housesitting or stopping by for a visit I'll be attentive and caring as if your pet is my child. I will make sure you remain updated on how much your pet is enjoying themselves and what we found on our strolls and ask questions when necessary. Q: Are you able to handle special requests? I have some questions. A: I understand pets sometimes have special needs or there are special requests and I am able to accommodate both. My experiences have cultured me to the array of special needs that arise owning a pet including as well changing diapers with Isabella when she was on her period or dealing with the males when they get a little "excited". If you have any questions or need to explain some specific requests for me sitting your animal please don't hesitate to ask or let me know. I'm available and responsive most of the time unless I'm passing through a low service area. Q: Is my pet secure with you? A: One of our family pets were squirrels that fell from a tree as babies and needed to be bottle fed. If you know squirrels, you know they are sneaky but we kept them in their cages after learning some tricks. I understand Dogs and cats are sneaky so I practice being very aware of my entry and exit , and I practice a safe leash holding technique as well to ensure all animals under my care are secure. I make sure harnesses are properly set and collars are snug as well. Q: When housesitting how will you care for my home? A: Most importantly I'm staying in your home, so you will return and things will be in order. I'll water plants if needed. Pets occasionally have accidents, if that happens I'll clean it up immediately. I've owned and operated a cleaning business before so your home will be kept tidy and clean. If I leave for an errand I'll ensure the house is secure as well with doors locked and gates secured behind me as I leave.

About: **I AM TRAVELING OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY STARTING 5/20/26 AND WILL BE BLOCKING MY CALENDAR TILL I KNOW I WILL RETURN. ** I travel off island often and can't have my own puppy family, so I will watch your fur-babies like they are my own! I enjoy the adventure of pup-sitting at homes all over the island. I work remotely so am able to be away from my place for long stretches of time. While I like to explore the local areas I stay in, I will mostly be snuggled up with your fur-babies typing away. I am a veteran with Rover- In fact I have been pet-sitting before Rover existed using Craigslist. I have a huge love for all animals and am very experienced with caring for different types of animals and breeds. I am patient, and gentle with a huge heart for animals. I understand every household has different culture. I always try and mimic all the rules of the home. Pets not allowed on the couch? no problem. Dogs like to sleep in the bed with owners? I am an expert puppy snugger. Perhaps the best. I will try and reinforce all commands and rules so there is a seamless transition upon your return. When dog-sitting in your home I will leave it better than I found it and happily respect boundaries and house rules. * My property is in Hilo but I am open to sitting at homes all over the island. Why I love dog sitting: I had a Golden Retriever rescue for over 15 years till he passed 10 years ago. I travel a lot and didn't think it was fair to get another dog, but have been pet sitting since. I LOVE having dog energy still around... and the friendships I have made with my puppy parents. For my lifestyle it's the best of both worlds! I work remotely so am very flexible with my schedule and love having pets around to love on while exploring new and interesting locations on this beautiful island. My place is in Hilo but am open to doing pet sit stays all around the Big Island. Initial meeting can be done with a zoom call before meet and greet if too far from my area. About: My dog of 15 years (lab mix) died a few years ago. I miss her, but travel a few times a year and don't want to leave a dog that long. I have lots of love to give and I love walking with a dog. I have extensive house and dog sitting experience with references. I send owners photos of their happy pups while caring for your pet as if were my own. I work at home (writer and online teacher) so your pet will be by my side during the day and we will take frequent walks together, if your pet likes that. I work at home and walk several times a day so I can bring your pet with me if they’d like to go for a walk. I’m also affectionate with animals, and they are affectionate with me so cuddles will be on the agenda. I have a park nearby and access to nearby home wirh fenced where I could visit with your pet so they could run around even more.
