Housesitting has been a way of life for me for many years, and I take seriously the trust that comes with caring for someone's home and animals. I grew up in the country with dogs, cats, and farm animals, and that early life with animals shaped how I relate to them. I walk extensively every day and love having a dog along. The Big Island has plenty of dog-friendly trails and I enjoy exploring them with pets in my care. Cats get plenty of attention too, even if they're staying home while I head out. If you're looking for someone who will treat your home and your animals with genuine care and respect, I'd love to hear from you. I work from home, so your pets will have company most of the day, every day. I'm usually home in the evenings as well, as that's when I do most of my writing. For housesits, I stay at the client's home full time — overnight and through most of the day — so pets maintain their normal routines as closely as possible. I follow whatever feeding schedules, rules, and habits the owner has established, and I ask detailed questions before a sit begins so there are no surprises. I treat every home I stay in with care and respect, leaving it in the same condition I found it. For drop-in visits, I arrive on schedule, spend quality time with the pet rather than rushing through, and send updates so owners know everything is going well. In either case I make sure animals have fresh water, are fed on schedule, get appropriate exercise and attention, and are never left alone longer than is comfortable for them. I'm attentive to changes in behavior or health and will contact the owner promptly if anything seems off.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old for neighbors, friends and family. These people have relied on me to walk, feed, and board their pets. I have worked and volunteered at National Mill Dog Rescue for seven years where I have enjoyed socializing with dogs in a kennel or play yard, command puppy parties and walks, and have lead outreach programs and events. I have also just graduated from college and am headed to Colorado State Vet school this upcoming fall! I currently just moved back home from Hilo, HI after graduating college and will be attending CSU vet school this upcoming fall, so I'll have plenty of time to walk, run, and play with your pups or kittens this summer! My schedule is currently very open on weekdays and weekends. Home services are currently inactive. However I can provide pet care in the comfort of your home to be sure your pup is enjoying their stay while you're away.

About: I mostly enjoy being outdoors and would love a company of a cute furry baby in seeing nature’s beauty. I am very easy to work and communicate with. Rest assured that I will be responsive towards your fur babies inquiries. I’m working three days a week, my schedule changes often each week but I am mostly available on weekdays. I will appreciate a 2-3 days notice when making appointments so that I can accommodate your schedule to care for your furry babies. About: **I AM TRAVELING OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY STARTING 5/20/26 AND WILL BE BLOCKING MY CALENDAR TILL I KNOW I WILL RETURN. ** I travel off island often and can't have my own puppy family, so I will watch your fur-babies like they are my own! I enjoy the adventure of pup-sitting at homes all over the island. I work remotely so am able to be away from my place for long stretches of time. While I like to explore the local areas I stay in, I will mostly be snuggled up with your fur-babies typing away. I am a veteran with Rover- In fact I have been pet-sitting before Rover existed using Craigslist. I have a huge love for all animals and am very experienced with caring for different types of animals and breeds. I am patient, and gentle with a huge heart for animals. I understand every household has different culture. I always try and mimic all the rules of the home. Pets not allowed on the couch? no problem. Dogs like to sleep in the bed with owners? I am an expert puppy snugger. Perhaps the best. I will try and reinforce all commands and rules so there is a seamless transition upon your return. When dog-sitting in your home I will leave it better than I found it and happily respect boundaries and house rules. * My property is in Hilo but I am open to sitting at homes all over the island. In fact, I love to! I will text picture updates to my clients so they feel comforted that their sweetheart is being loved on. Why I love dog sitting: I had a Golden Retriever rescue for over 15 years till he passed 10 years ago. I travel a lot and didn't think it was fair to get another dog, but have been pet sitting since. I LOVE having dog energy still around... and the friendships I have made with my puppy parents. For my lifestyle it's the best of both worlds! I work remotely so am very flexible with my schedule and love having pets around to love on while exploring new and interesting locations on this beautiful island. My place is in Hilo but am open to doing pet sit stays all around the Big Island. Initial meeting can be done with a zoom call before meet and greet if too far from my area. I can also do house drop in visits if it coordinates with my location at the time needed. Right now I am primarily house sitting since my property does not have a fenced yard. I will match your schedule as best as possible and take care of your place the way you desire.

About: I am a conscious Christian teacher of 20 years and care for all animals in a special way. Each pet is unique and so should be cared for in an individual way. I Uber around my Rover and private Spanish lessons. I am an early riser and love long walks with my puppy and others who may be with us (-: I keep a clean, minamilist household with space for everyone. About: Dogs are very special to me, I’ve always wanted one but growing up I was never allowed. So I walked my neighborhood dogs or played with my friends. I absolutely fell in love with dogs and I understand their behaviors and how to properly manage them inside, outside and around other dogs as well. I value each dog as a companion and take the best possible care of each one I encounter. Friends have counted on me to feed, bathe and take care of their pets for years. I’m a current 12 credit student at Hilo Community College studying Accounting. All my classes are online so I have pretty much any time available to work for the Rover App. I have a closed off house that is pet friendly. About: I’ve had about 10 years of personal experience taking care of dogs and cats. My family, friends, and neighbors have relied on me to help take care of their dogs and cats. I have experience with big and small dogs; taking them on walks, feeding, and bathing. I’m currently a full-time college student with no job, so that gives me plenty of time to play with your pets! I’m available all day saturdays & sundays, monday/wednesday/friday I’m available from 3pm-whenever, and tuesday/thursday I’m available from 2pm-whenever. About: I’ve grown up around 3 labs since my first memories, I was always there to walk, bathe, and love them. I then started professional dog sitting in college in 2018. I’m currently a travel nurse only working 3 days a week during the day, I have a lot of free time but I can’t make the commitment to having my own pet due to how often I switch cities. I always crave walking/ running with a dog as I go on walks/ hikes/ and go to near by parks to exercise. I’m very active so I can give your dog the best time! :) I don’t have any pets so your dog will always be alone and I always keep dogs on the leash and stay cautious and safe with fur babies, as a nurse I naturally play everything safe, stay careful but am nurturing and loving.
