About: I just loves dogs and am looking to make a bit of extra cash on the side. Weave a cozy house, fenced yard and a loving labradoodle in the mix and you've pretty much got the whole picture. I work from home 100% of the time so I can be with your good boy or girl as much as possible. Our dog is 8 and enjoys playing in our yard, walks and going to the dog park. We also like having chill days just cuddling on the couch and relaxing. I am a solid communicator and will provide you plenty of updates along the way. My husband and I work fully remotely and are home every day. My schedule is also very flexible so there's plenty of time for walks and going to the park near our house. I have a fenced yard that is very secure and the road we live on is not major, so there isn't a ton of traffic to worry about.

About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.

Furry friends are my top priority and I take every step necessary to ensure they are cared for and loved like family during their stay. I am very active and love taking pups for any length of walk or park time that they need or enjoy. I am with your babies all day and I treat them like they are my own. I provide lots of love, snuggles, play time, and am happy to give them as much (or little) attention as they need. While I love to spoil our fur friends, I adhere to your instructions, always, and can provide as many updates and photos of your pup as you'd like. We have a fully fenced large backyard (for Portland) and I supervise all furry friends outside when the weather is cooperating. We have a fenced dog run that is lit, with dog door access for your babies if they need to relieve themselves immediately. Dogs are allowed on our furniture and in the bed during the day for snuggles. In a clients home, I follow every instruction left for care of your fur baby and try to leave all homes better than I left. I will never leave your dog in any state other calm and relaxed. I take great care to ensure that your property is secured when I leave and can follow any instructions for key care, lockbox codes, etc. including key pick-up and drop-off.
