About: I've cared for everything from birds and hamsters to cats and dogs! As a teacher and former daycare worker, I bring a calm, nurturing presence that pets (and babies!) naturally respond to. Whether it’s playful puppies or senior pets needing gentle care, I treat every animal like family. Since I am a teacher, I get summer off. My last day is June 18th, so after my last day my schedule is very flexible. I will be available every day of the week. My cats are indoor and I feed them in the morning when I wake up and before going to sleep. If the client has a dog, I like to take the dogs to the park or on a long walk and ensure they get physical activity. I feed them according to their schedule and make sure they get lots of snuggles throughout the day.

About: 10 years fostering dogs with a local shelter—puppies, medical cases, reactive dogs, seniors, and the shy ones who need extra patience. My favorites are large dogs and blockheads (staffies, rotties, pit mixes), though a small dog sneaks in now and then (frenchies, Havanese, corgi, etc). I'm new to Rover but not to petsitting. I've cared for dogs from families who adopted my fosters for years, and I've been active on Wag! At my house, dogs get on the furniture, play hard, and get spoiled. Belly rubs, butt scratches, and ear massages come standard. My goal is to send your dog home happy, loved and tired. I'm self-employed and work from home when dogs stay with me. (My clients are used to dogs making an appearance during Zoom calls.) I'm a runner so long walks with dogs is just part of the fitness routine. I match my schedule to your dog's feeding and bathroom schedule. Every dog that comes here is treated with patience and care. Some arrive nervous, anxious, or unsure—maybe a potty accident in a new space, maybe hesitant to settle. My job is to help them feel safe, give them time to decompress, and meet them where they are. When they're ready, I'm here for play and snuggles. I have a fenced yard and my property backs up to a park. Dogs get regular walks, plus potty breaks. If a dog needs shorter, lower-key outings, we do on-leash trips to the park right behind the house. If your dog is reactive, we do backyard potty breaks and walk off-peak hours on a specific path to minimize potential sightings of other dogs.

“Daniel was so great! We were passing through on a road trip and put in a last minute request for some dog sitting so my daughter and I could go to the aquarium- we were greeted by a very excited pack of dogs, ready to play. Daniel took our dog on a nice long walk and she had lots of playtime as well as relaxing time. The photos he provided make it clear that she felt right at home and very relaxed. When we came to collect her, Daniel made sure to give her one more big round of scritches, at which point I’m pretty sure she was ready to stay with him forever. We will definitely reach out to Daniel again if we are ever passing through again and need a pet sitter!”

About: I’m a proud dog parent to Moonie, my very smart 3 year old Maltipoo, and I also live with a 4 year old Pomeranian — so yes, my house is basically dog approved. I love walks, dog parks, treats, and teaching Moonie new tricks. I’ll treat your pup like family, with lots of love, patience, and probably a few compliments ❤️🥰💕 I work in the office some days, but I’m mostly remote and home with the pups. There’s always time for potty breaks, playtime, little backyard zoomies, and cuddle breaks.. so basically, the dogs have a better schedule than we do 😂 I live in a townhouse with a small backyard — perfect for quick potty breaks or a little zoomies session. My neighborhood is safe and great for walks. I always clean paws after potty breaks, keep fresh pee pads available and changed daily, and yes… dogs are allowed on the furniture.
“Karla was absolutely amazing with Sausage. Sausage is a very elderly dog with mobility and anxiety issues and Karla was able to care for and watch over him with patience and persistence, trying multiple ways to calm and soothe him until he was eventually able to settle down. I don’t trust my little pup with just anyone, and Karla never once gave me reason to worry. Clear communication from the get-go with multiple updates throughout the stay. I can’t say enough good things about Karla. We will definitely be asking her to watch Sausage again in the future!”

Virginia & Steven took great care of my dog Chronos during his stay. They sent pictures throughout the day, which I really appreciated because it gave me peace of mind knowing he was doing well. They have a nice fenced backyard where Chronos was able to run around and get his energy out, which is great. Overall, I was really happy with the kindness and care they showed him. I would definitely trust them to watch Chronos again.
We were very hesitant in finding someone to watch our puppy while he was not able to attend daycare, but after the time he has spent in Leaf’s care, she is now our number one choice! She was very patient, loving and attentive to his needs. Her communication with us throughout the day was very superb. I booked Shanitta to watch my dog, Chronos, and she was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I dropped him off, she invited me inside to see her home and make sure I was comfortable with everything, which I really appreciated. Throughout the day, she sent plenty of videos and pictures so I always knew how he was doing. She even logged his activities, including when he ate and when he used the bathroom. Chronos looked so happy and clearly had a great time with her! Shanitta was communicative, patient, and genuinely caring. I felt at ease leaving Chronos with her. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter!
Ashley has been my go to sitter ever since I used her for the first time a couple weeks ago!
