Dogs love to stay at The Dog Chef!
I've had dogs my whole life, and began caring for other people's pets when I was in high school. I regularly cared for the director of the Michigan Humane Society's pets. I was a Baltimore City School teacher for the last 15 years and incorporated my love for animals in my classroom. I did mini lessons with my students on humane education, and engaged my students in rescue work within their community. I left teaching last year to expand the business my husband and I own and run, The Dog Chef. We are becoming a full service pet store with dog sitting, daycare and dog walking options. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, but now I've built my life around them, and I would love to welcome yours to the family.

5 stars are not enough to measure the rating for Meredith & Kevyn. Meredith has been extremely accommodating with my last minute bookings and schedule changes. She is responsive with check ins and Marlaux always returns home with a wagging tail and happy. You can tell this couple genuinely loves and cares for animals which is important. I will be rebooking and using their services daily. I’m beyond grateful to have found my go to sitter for Marlaux. I highly recommend you contact them for your fur babies needs.
Meredith was great! She made sure my pup was well cared for and happy during his visit and was flexible and accommodating for our pick up time.

DAYCARE/BOARDING You know that excitement kids feel before going to Disneyland? That’s how dogs feel when they get to stay in Louie’s Lounge at The Dog Chef. We offer the ideal daycare and boarding experience in Louie’s Lounge at The Dog Chef. Since we accept a maximum of 6 dogs your pooch will get the individualized attention he or she deserves. Dogs get to play and stay in Louie’s Lounge which has plenty of space to romp around, but feels just like your dog’s own living room. We have comfy couches for dogs to lounge around on, and DOGTV is always playing. Dogs joining us for daycare and boarding will receive a daily treat courtesy of The Dog Chef. Your pup will have our undivided attention, and we promise they will love it here! WALKING I love walking around the city, and live in Mount Vernon, and know our neighborhood and the surrounding neighborhoods well. I would be happy to make our business, The Dog Chef one of the stops on our walks for a special treat. We also have a very quiet dog park a block away.
