About: Whether you require regular daytime walks, occasional drop-in visits, or overnight sitting, you can count on me to treat your pet like a precious, irreplaceable gem! I’m the pawrent of a Pekingese dog, two Exotic Shorthair cats, and a Persian cat. I am also a foster meowmie for other kitties. I have experience with senior and special-needs pets, including as a volunteer dog walker for PAWS NY, an organization that helps people in need keep their pets in their lives. I will send you lots of photos and videos so you can be fully informed about the well-being of your pet/s. I am self-employed as a designer and writer and quite flexible time-wise. In addition to dogs and cats, I’m also happy to care for bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, birds, and other exotic pets. I’ve read some horror stories about overnight sitters, as I’m sure you have. If I am house-sitting for you, I will be staying overnight in your home, so your pet will be in its usual environment. If you choose daycare or boarding with me, I will be staying overnight with your pet in a secure, cozy apartment with a fenced-in backyard (my own dog and cats won’t be present). I don’t walk dogs off leash and I don’t open windows for the safety of small dogs and cats. If your animal has any symptoms of illness, you’ll be advised immediately. If it’s hot out, I will ask that we run the A/C for the health of your pet. The well-being of your pet is as important to me as the well-being of my own pets.

About: I am a recently graduated Masters student Columbia University, now working full-time remote with lots of flexibility during the day. I have six small dogs back home and have grown up around dogs all my life, so have great experience with them. Three of my dogs are rescues, and on top of that I've also volunteered at a pet shelter socializing rescued dogs and cats. Over the past few years, I have also gained lots of experience with all kinds of dogs on Rover. I will take great care of your pets, making sure that their safety is top priority in addition to their fun and happiness. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about my pet experience. Working 100% remotely, my schedule is super flexible, so I can stay at home during the day and do plenty of walks and play time. Most importantly, I make sure I always know where the dog is, and that all doors/possible exits are secured. I also make sure the dog doesn't eat anything that will make them unwell or they shouldn't be eating. I follow the dog's behavioral cues, walking or playing with them if they have a lot of energy, or leaving them be if they don't want the attention. I know how important consistency is for dogs, especially ones that are learning, so I always check any specific household or behavioral rules or routines with owners ahead of time.

“Grace and Jonah took such good care of our puppy. Their place is well equipped and prepared for dogs, and they sent constant updates and pics. It's clear to see how much they love being around dogs, and I'd recommend them to anyone.”

“Mackenzie was great! She was responsive and kept me filled in on how my anxious pup was doing. My dog seemed very comfortable with her and I’ll definitely have her sit again!”

“Fala's stay with Debora was so wonderful, I just booked her again for another two days next week! On very short notice, I needed to find care for Fala because workers needed to be in my apartment while no one from our family could be home (and keep Fala's anxieties down). Debora was available for a quick meet-and-greet and then a three-day daycare stay. She sent photos and videos throughout each day and was thoughtful about Fala's adjustment to her apartment and new walking routine. I felt that she really cared for Fala and found her as adorable and delightful as I do!”
