About: We're a a couple in our 40s, both working professionals in Montrose. We have four year old daughter and a seven year old chocolate lab mix who are both friendly, energetic, curious and cuddly. We are looking to help out others in the area who need dog care, since we know how difficult it can be to find good reliable people to watch our pup. We live just south of town with four acres and direct access to public land, perfect for dogs to run around and play in. We also are very active and love taking our pup out for hikes, walks, cross country skiing, fetch, swims, and playtime, and would be happy to bring yours along as well. We hope to meet you and your pup soon! While we both work full-time, we do have flexibility for telework, and breaks throughout the day to take your dog out. We are home full time evenings and weekends. We have a friendly dog who is very social to run and play with your dog. We are comfortable walking dogs on or off leash depending on what your dog is comfortable with.

About: I grew up on a ranch in Southern Colorado, where my love for animals began. I am passionate about caring for animals and making them feel loved and comfortable. I have helped find animals their forever homes, volunteered at shelters and am a member of many rescue groups. I have experience caring for puppies to seniors, some that need extra help walking, extra affection due to stress/anxiety and some who are incontinent and need doggy diapers, or who have special needs. I have experience in medication administration and am knowledgeable about all dog stages of life. My home is clean, quiet and relaxing. Your dogs happiness and safety while staying with me is my number one priority. As a stay at home mom, I can guarantee you peace of mind in knowing that your pets will get a lot of attention, care and love. Please let me know what you and your pet's needs are, and I will do my best to accommodate. As a life long pet owner, your pet will be just as spoiled as mine. They will be able to roam the house freely, are allowed on furniture and always have fresh water. I can provide a lickimat (a grooved mat that encourages the act of licking) that is topped with all natural, organic peanut butter or organic pumpkin to keep your pup satisfied and entertained. I will strictly follow pet owner instructions.

“She did great with our cat!”

Stay tuned! About Me: I've always had a passion for animals, and was raised with dogs, cats, horses, pigs, goats, cows, chickens, birds, fish, hamsters, etc... Through high-school I worked for a horse boarding facility cleaning stalls, exercising horses, and ensuring diet & blanketing protocols were followed with precise detail. After high-school, I spent four years wrangling for guest ranches in the summer, packing for outfitters in the fall, and house sitting during the off seasons! All this to say, I have met and cared for a huge variety of animals under various circumstances. I keep a watchful eye out for illness or injury, and feel confident in my responses to emergency situations. I'm not afraid to ask questions when I'm unsure, either! I take pride in following your routine precisely, sharing updates frequently, and giving you the greatest peace of mind that your pets, plants, & home are in good hands while you're away. Currently I'm studying for my Bachelor's degree, full-time via online courses. This means I will not leave your pets for extended periods while boarding, have flexibility to schedule visits that best suit your pet's needs, and can "work from your home" while housesitting if need be. I have a lot of experience with senior pet care, and am confident in my ability to keep your puppy's training on track while you're away! Please reach out with any questions, I'd love to discuss your situation more and see if we'd be a good fit! My schedule is flexible, as I'm a full-time student working on earning my Bachelor's degree online from home. Meaning, I can adjust my schedule to suit your pet’s needs! My goal is to take the utmost care to follow all routines and directions! Plus, strive to keep your pets healthy and home tidy! I will watch for physical injuries, monitor their "excrements" for signs of illness, and watch for conditions across ALL your pets / livestock including: ear infections, pink-eye, bloat, colic, abscesses, UTI's, etc... In addition to keeping an eye on pet health, I take watching for property issues like broken fences, leaking pipes, strange appliance noises, etc… seriously as well! I want to make sure your home is the way you left it, if not better! I’m fine with lengthy ranch routines morning and night. Again if questions arise or illness or injury is suspected in any of your animals --I will reach out with photos right away. I do have experience navigating small & large animal emergencies and react quickly to these situations!

“Dario is great. He is responsible, intelligent, sane and loved my kitties. He showed up on time and did exactly what I asked him to do and what more can you ask for? Elaine”

“Shawn was fantastic! He took the time to meet the dogs beforehand and all the drop-ins went great. Would recommend.”

About: I have been a cat mom my whole life and a dog auntie for years. I love all animals like they are my own. I am that kind of person who says hello to a person’s dog first before ever saying hi to their owner! I am currently working at the Cancer Center in town. So I’m centrally available for afternoon dog walks, or checking in on your cats when you’re away on vacation. I understand every pet is different and is someone’s family member. I promise to treat your fur baby the way I would want someone to treat mine.

About: I have had dogs my entire life, so I’ve worked with puppies to adults to elderly dogs. I have dog-sitted for others, along with experience from my own pets, which included: play-time, a walk, and feeding. I am currently available on weekdays and Saturdays, including night-time visits. I cannot do overnight visits, but I can do a late-night check-in and follow-up in the morning. I try to replicate a pet's routine as closely as possible, as if you were there! Please give me all the information that is necessary, so I can give your pet the loving care they deserve!

About: Experienced puppy and senior dog care growing up, now own a reactive rescue. (I know the struggles). I will keep my reactive ESA at home for all pets' safety and comfort. I've administered oral (I know a trick for smart dogs that will pick the pill out of a sandwich) and eye medications. I've cared for a multitude of different types of critters including big and strong dogs, dogs dealing with incontinence (I can apply dog diapers), elderly and adult dogs, cats, fish tanks, and rabbits. I have experience using an E-collar mini-educator, if that is what you normally use. Able to groom or bathe for an additional cost, given the proper space and materials. Also available for plant care upon request. I have over 30 well-established plants under my care at home! With proper respect, I care for my own dog first and my clients' pets come second (with plenty of love). I would love to get to meet your furry family members and care for them in the time in between caring for my own ESA Due to my housing restrictions of living in an apartment, I offer drop-in visits at your home as well as walks/adventures. I have an entire back seat with a dog safe waterproof hammock/seat cover and pet seatbelts if we agree on going for adventures or walks around places other than your home. Highly respectful for other peoples' homes and property.

Micaela even saved a dog’s life when she intervened and stopped an owner who was kicking their dog out in their yard. I trust Micaela whole-heartedly in caring for my dog as I have asked her many times to babysit my sweet girl. “We couldn't be more grateful for Krista's amazing care of our two dogs. One of our pups is elderly and requires medication, while the other is quite reactive, making them both a bit of a handful. Despite this, Krista has handled them with incredible patience and expertise. She has always been extremely communicative and consistently goes above and beyond—sending us pictures and keeping us updated throughout. It's such a relief to know our dogs are in such capable and loving hands!”
