“Katy and her family were awesome! She took a last-minute request, squeezed in a Meet & Greet to make sure our dog and her pets got along, and she treated our dog like her own. Katy was great with communication and pictures of his stay - we could tell he was one happy pup!! We will definitely be using Katy again!!”

About: I love my own cats, dogs and reptiles of all ages in my household! I will absolutely love your animals as our own 💕💕 I have been in Montrose for 8 years. I always go home during lunch to let our dogs out. My lunch varies. Either I go home 11-12, 12-1 or 1-2. I usually have holidays off. My dogs are kennel trained. I have a fenced yard with plenty of room to run around. My cats and dogs are friendly and vaccinated. My cats are fixed, our male dogs are not. One of my cats is blind.

“Our dog was happy here! She got plenty of love from Abby’s family and we even had her there more than the time requested and they were super nice about it! We really appreciate Abby and Eli and their family for carinh”

“Micaela was absolutely phenomenal with our two dogs. We had never left them overnight with anyone outside of our family, so we were understandably nervous, but she completely put us at ease. She was very thorough about sticking to their routines, and the check-in photos and texts helped ease our concerns from the moment we left. Our dogs were clearly happy and comfortable with her and her family. We’ve definitely found our go-to sitter moving forward.”

“We are so lucky to have found Stephanie to watch our dogs this past weekend! We rarely leave our girls with new people, however we instantly felt like we could trust Stephanie and were not disappointed. We loved the steady stream of updates and photos/videos and having AirTags on the girls made it fun to watch their adventures throughout their stay. The girls loved having a big yard as well as fit right in with Stephanie’s 2 dogs, and they were in high spirits when we picked them up. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you so much!”

“What a great stay my 2 dogs (golden retriever and standard poodle) had with Bryanna and her adorable daughter and amazing blue weimeriemer for Teluride bluegrass weekend. Bryanna is a dog trainer at heart and they learned a few new skills such as her touch recall. They got to sleep all together on their big comfy couch in their cool air conditioned home and play in their fenced in yard. Our golden escaped several times to chase their chickens in their huge yard but thankfully she dropped them unharmed each time. We will definitely be back!”

“She did great my dog loved it there and she takes the dogs on a hike and they run and play and have so much fun. Definitely will be reaching out to her again on my next travel!”

“Summer was wonderful with my Golden retriever - she provided regular updates and pics, nice home with a big fenced back yard , regular walks . and just an ideal home away from home environment. 100% would use her again - my Curry absolutely loved her . Thank you Summer !”

About: I have grown up with all kinds of pups…border collies, black mouth currs, aussies, heelers…I currently have a pitbull and a golden retriever myself who I love very much. I also have a cat who is my absolute world. I was taught pet responsibility at a very young age, and also showed steers in 4h, which I feel are just very large dogs. I currently work full time, but I do work from home Mondays, Wednesday and Thursday at my home in Delta. Tuesday’s and Fridays, I am in Montrose. The weekends are pretty open for me, but if at all possible, please contact in advance just in case I am busy! I like to give lots of attention to your pets as well as my own. Lots of playtime for my golden (my pit is an old lady, so she just likes to be lazy).
About: I grew up loving animals! I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages 🐾 I have had friends, family, neighbors and new people in my life trust and rely on me to take care of their fur babies while they’re away. My main goal is to let the animals (and their family) know they are loved and taken care of! I do have a beautiful daughter! I want to make sure you’re aware that if I do any over night stay’s with your fur babies, my daughter will need to join us. She is very gentle and loves animals! Her first word was “cat!” I can be available whenever you need me! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’d be more than happy to do whatever I need to do to take care of your fur family! Let me know what your animals are most comfortable with and I will do everything I can to make them happy and loved! I can bathe them, take them for walks, play with them with their favorite toys, give them their favorite treats and make sure they have their daily essentials!
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Montrose is $50
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Montrose
Wow! So grateful for Claire and Dru! This was our first extended stay anywhere. These two put me at ease - graciously accommodating our travel schedule, somewhat elaborate feeding routine, and the overall effort it takes to run my boisterous pups. They put in the extra energy to provide them with enrichment and adventure, attuning to their unique personalities and keeping them safe and happy. Not to mention the professional grade photo updates!

Leah is amazing! Very quick to respond to our (last minute) request to watch our pup, and really took the time to make sure that he was comfortable in their space before we left. I felt totally comfortable leaving him with Leah, and she was great about sending updates. 10/10 would rebook!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Montrose home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
