I love animals of all shapes and sizes! My husband, daughter and I have the sweetest senior dog (Bell), two cats (Elsie and Kitt), and a lively flock of chickens (all named by my 4 yo). Growing up my family had cats, dogs, hamsters, bunnies, and fish, and we were always around horses. So caring for animals is second nature to me! My daughter has grown up the same way—gentle, respectful, and just as smitten with animals as I am, probably even more so! I like to think I’m good at reading animals too—figuring out how they like to be greeted, what helps them feel safe, and how they like to have fun. My goal is to make your pets feel as comfortable, cared for, and loved as they do with you!

Jacquelyn was able to accommodate our pup over the Thanksgiving holiday so we could travel to see family. She sent photos and updates and Basil was happy and healthy when we came home. Can’t ask for more!
Jacquelyn loves animals! She has been great watching our two dogs, Ollie and Fanny. They are Shih Tzus and require a lot of attention and love. We always come home to two happy pups and I highly recommend her!

Schedule
I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I’m home most of the day and only ever out for short errands—usually no more than a couple of hours. My husband also works from home, so there’s almost always someone here. That means your pets get plenty of attention, companionship, and care!

Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I follow your directions closely so their routine stays just the way you like it. In my home, I provide a calm, safe space where pets can settle in and feel comfortable. In your home, I make sure everything is done exactly as you’ve outlined, from feeding and walks to playtime and quiet time. My goal is always the same—happy, secure pets who feel cared for just like they do when you’re there.
Pets
A typical day
We live near Fox Park, which is a great place for dogs to explore, and there are plenty of walking paths right in the neighborhood. I love taking dogs for fresh-air walks, letting them sniff and enjoy the sights, and giving them a chance to burn off energy. At home, they’ll get lots of playtime, cozy snuggles, and companionship—my daughter loves animals just as much as I do, and she’s gentle and kind with every pet we meet.

- Please let me know about any special needs, routines, or health concerns your pet has in advance. I have a lot of experience caring for senior dogs—our own dog is 14—and I’ve looked after many older pets over the years. I’m also comfortable administering medications. I used to have a shih tzu with lifelong medical issues, so I understand how important it is to be attentive, gentle, and consistent with their care. :)
