About: You can find me at the animal shelter most weekends taking home a foster cat or dog. I have experience watching over dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. It would be my pleasure to watch your pet while you’re out of town. I can ensure ample play time, long walks and tons of head scratches. I have experience administering medicine and injectables if required. I have cared for pets of all ages from kittens to senior dogs, rabbits, and birds. My special skill is making any animal feel comfortable and safe. I work from home and do not have a pet of my own so your pet will have my full attention for play, feeding and hanging out. I have a cat friendly home with a cat tree, lots of toys, scratching posts and cozy hiding spots. At your home, I will build trust by being patient and responding at the animal’s pace.

About: My first dog care experience was when i adopted my first dog Coco, at 7 years Old. Coco was the most problematic dog at the adoption center, but with my care she became a loving, kind dog I cared for Coco until she passed away when I was 14 years Old. When i was 14 I got a Golden Retriever Puppy and named him Yogi. I raised him and trainer him from puppy to old age, and he was the most kind, loving, well behaved dog I have ever met. He passed away a few years ago. I am currently able to take care of your pet in the early evenings. I work overnights. So i will be available for Bathroom Breaks, Feeding, Caring etc during the day. I am only able to care for your dog at your home at the moment. I have several Internationally Verified Background Checks passed because I worked with children in my previous Career as a Youth Sports Coach. I am certified in Health, Safety and Supervision by University of Albany.

“Gavin was GREAT! He stayed with and played with our two kids (dogs) and lived in our home in East Hampton for close to 3 weeks while we were in New Zealand. While we were away he kept in constant touch with us supplying an endless stream of photos and videos clearly evincing the progress of the dogs trauma of us leaving, with the initial photo of the dogs look of being held hostage (semi joke) to the next of enjoyment with and of the dogs and the dogs change too). He clearly loved them and they loved him back. He is VERY communicative and we appreciated it. He follows direction well and since he lives nearby to us didn't have to travel far to take care of his other responsibilities such as other dogs (like his own). A very responsible fellow and will of course use him again when we return from FL.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life. Six dogs growing up, every size imaginable, and my cat Lucy who I had for 16 years. Losing her recently is part of why I’m here. I’m not ready to commit to another pet of my own just yet. I’ve handled medication schedules, post-surgery care, special diets, and anxious pets who just needed someone calm and consistent. None of that phases me. I’m based in Manhattan in a doorman building with a flexible schedule, so your pet gets actual quality time, not a quick check-in between back to back bookings. Fair warning though: I take really good photos. Your pet will come home with a camera roll full of content and probably a little spoiled. 📸🐾 New to Rover. Not new to pets. I run my own professional organizing company, so my schedule is genuinely flexible depending on the week. On days without client projects I’m fully available, and I can often accommodate last minute requests too. Weekdays, weekends, overnights: just ask. Pets don’t keep a 9 to 5 and neither do I. My apartment is a pet free home right now, which actually works in your favor. No other animals competing for attention, no territorial energy, just a calm and clean Manhattan space where your pet gets to be the center of attention. I’m in a doorman building, so there’s always someone at the door and your pet is never coming or going unattended. For drop-ins and walks I come to you, so your pet stays comfortable in their own environment the whole time.

About: I love being part of the Rover community and truly enjoy meeting so many wonderful pet parents and their amazing dogs! When your pup stays with me, they’re treated like a member of our family and cared for with lots of love, patience, and attention. I work just one mile from home and am able to come home during my lunch break, so dogs in my care are never left alone for more than three hours at a time on weekdays. Mornings start with a potty break, breakfast, and some attention before I head to work. I return at lunch for another potty break, playtime, and any midday care needed. After work, I’m home for the evening with plenty of time for walks, dinner, and play. Dogs in my care spend a lot of time outside and enjoying our large yard. I love keeping dogs active with plenty of opportunities to run, explore, and burn off energy in a safe space. On weekends, school breaks, and throughout the summer, I am home most or all of the day, allowing for even more frequent potty breaks, outdoor time, and one-on-one attention. This setup works especially well for puppies, high-energy dogs, senior pets, and dogs who thrive with lots of human companionship. I will do whatever you request and/or are comfortable with as the owner, leaving the pet out during the day or crating. Whatever you think is best! I've even had dogs on a scheduled nap time :) open communication here is important! I will ALWAYS send photos. I’m happy to follow whatever routine you feel most comfortable with—whether that means free roaming during the day, crating, or a structured schedule. I’ve even cared for dogs who thrive on scheduled nap times! Clear, open communication is very important to me, and I always make sure to keep owners updated with photos and messages.

Albert proved to be a godsend as I have commitments in NYC without someone to care for Roq in my absence. He strictly adhered to all the details of care we covered and even provided more. About: I was lucky enough to grow up with dogs and cats my whole childhood and have never spent a day in my house without a pet there. I love animals so much and it brings me so much joy to connect with them. I understand the patience and empathy it takes to get to know an animal and for them to feel comfortable around us. One day I hope to open up an animal shelter of my own on a big plot of land somewhere in the country and provide support to all kinds of animals. I currently go to college but I have afternoons and weekends free to play and care for your babies. I have breaks in my day as well in case your doggies get lonely or need a walk! In my home we let the animals come and go as they please with the doggy door, but we try and take the dogs on a long walk once a day to keep em healthy. We feed them dry food in the morning and wet at night. I try and spend a lot of time with my pets to create a familiar bond with them.

He had many health problems such as asthma and IBS, for which he was on several daily medications. This taught me to administer oral medication in pill pockets and use an inhaler attachment for him. I miss being around animals in general now that he’s been gone. I am looking so much forward to being able to provide boarding in my lakeside home. At this time, I’m not able to offer housesitting, very happily offer drop ins house sits and walks! Kindly note: * if your dog has a history of aggression towards people or has indoor accidents frequently I will not be able to host them. *Experience with breeds such as greyhounds, who may need a more quiet atmosphere I am available consistently at the moment as I run a part time home business. 24 hour consistent time with your pet is ensured. If they wish they can also sleep in the bedroom/bed. The fenced yard is big enough to run around supervised and also has tiered retaining walls. I also have a separate area for a cat(s) and a walk in closet style litter box “room”. I have plenty of toys, treats and catnip. At this time, I’m not able to offer boarding, very happily offer drop ins house sits and walks!
