“Amanda is amazing! She is always on time, very reliable and Gia loves her! I love that she is flexible and will do what is needed to take care of Gia's needs. And she communicates really well, always keeping me informed!”

About: I would love to be your dog's sitter! I've had pets my whole life, so I'm no stranger to what dogs need to feel happy, safe, and loved. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or sticking to their routine, I’m always excited to give them the attention and care they deserve. I know that each dog has their own personality, and I’m happy to adapt to whatever makes them feel most comfortable. I’m passionate about keeping dogs entertained, relaxed, and full of joy while you’re away! I’d be thrilled to spend time with your pet! As a college student here at the College of Charleston, I’m great at managing my time, so pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule. I’m used to balancing multiple responsibilities, and taking care of a dog/cat is something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. I can easily fit in regular walks, playtime, and feeding around my class and study schedule. Plus, being flexible and organized means I can give your dog the attention they need without it interfering with my commitments. It’s a perfect balance of responsibility and joy! At my home, I create a calm, safe, and stimulating environment for pets. I ensure they have a comfortable space to rest and plenty of room to play. I stick to their regular routine, whether it’s meal times, walks, or play sessions, to help them feel at ease and maintain a sense of normalcy. I provide lots of attention and affection, making sure they’re never lonely, and I keep their safety in mind by pet-proofing the space and keeping any hazards out of reach. Whether it’s interactive toys, cuddles on the couch, or a cozy spot by the window, I make sure pets feel right at home.
“Sophie is the best! She always goes above and beyond. This particular time, Winnie’s fountain broke, and she took the time to put together a new one for me! I never have to worry when I leave my cat in her hands.”

“Kurt was great with our dogs. He was prompt on letting us know when he arrived and left. Always gave us an update with some pictures of the dogs. We would definitely use him again in the future”

About: Montauk-I’m an animal lover and dog owner, and I’ve had dogs my entire life. I’ve worked with veterinary groups and volunteered in animal shelters, and I’ve been providing in-home Rover care in Vermont for several years. About eight years ago, I began relocating to Montauk for the summers, which gradually turned into longer stays — and now I live here permanently. My home is within walking distance to the beach and several beautiful hiking trails. I have a large SUV and multiple passes that allow me to take dogs to select private beaches where they can safely play, run, swim, and enjoy long walks. Your dog will also have the opportunity to play and socialize with my friendly long-haired dachshund, Olive, who joins me daily on hikes and beach adventures. I have a very flexible schedule and treat every dog as if they were my own. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions . Vermont - Have your dogs feel like they are home even when you aren't. I am an animal lover and have lived with and raised dogs my entire life. I went to college for Zoology receiving a bachelors and worked for a veterinarian while attending college. I am a caring and responsible adult and currently have a very sweet Dachshund Olive who gets along great with other animals. I live in a four bedroom house with a big front and back yard, with lots of hiking trails that lead off the property. I am a nature enthusiastic and spend lots of time outdoors hiking and at the lake if that is something you would like me to do with your pets. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. I know what it is like to love your pets and worry that they are in good hands, but I can reassure you that staying with me they will be treated as a part of the family. I am more than happy to send pictures and updates to put you at ease while you are enjoying your vacation. I have a very flexible schedule to fit all of your pets needs, whether care is needed day or night. I do daily beach walks and hikes with my own dog, Olive a 10 lb long haired Dachshund. I will treat your pet as if they were my own. Giving them love and care and making them feel right at home during their stay with me.
About: I love animals! I have grown up with dogs and cats so I’m very comfortable walking and picking up after dogs. I think enrichment is a very important part of a dogs development and can get creative with playtime. I am not a trainer, but given instructions I can ensure a dogs training does not go off course. I can administer medicine and bathe your dog if necessary. I am new to using this app and I have flexible availability. I am currently working full time at Big Sky resort. I’m off Thursdays and Fridays so can give my full attention on those days. But super flexibility! I have a studio apartment. It’s not huge but it has a good amount of space for an animal to roam freely. Dog friendly apt!
About: I have owned and cared for animals my entire life. I raised two children and cared for their animals during their college years. From dogs to cats and every animal in between, I enjoy them all. I’m known in my neighborhood as the “nice treat lady”. I would love to meet your fur baby! Responsible, mature and reliable. My schedule is very flexible and I love to be around animals of all ages. Happy to meet yours. I can be available all days of the week. I have lots of experience with pets of all ages and energy levels. I will always make safety a priority. Your pet will be as special to me as they are to you.

About: I’m a certified vet assistant with clinical experience working at a vet tech for 3 years. I have been dog and cat sitting for close to 7 years now. My clients have become more like family to me and I treat their pets like my own as I consider them to be. I currently work full time. I generally spend at much time at the home as I can. I have an hour lunch that i, depending on location, make my way back to spend time with my current clients before returning around 4. I like to provide as close to the same routine as my Clients dog(s) or cat currently have. My goal is to make sure my clients know their pets are in safe caring hands.
About: Hi! I’m an experienced and reliable pet lover who truly enjoys caring for dogs like they’re my own. I’m active, attentive, and committed to keeping your pup safe, happy, and well-loved while you’re away.
About: When I take care of your pet I will treat them like part of the family. I have over a decade of experience caring for pets of all sizes. I can also take care of small pets like Rabbits, Hamsters, Guinea pigs, and even Birds. Past employers have described me as optimistic, dependable, enthusiastic, and motivated to provide the best care. Ensuring the safety of the pet is a top priority. The safety steps I take in advance is always keeping a firm grip on the leash while walking, keeping an eye out on the overall environment that the pet is in, never leaving anything edible out on the counter within a home, making sure the dog is hydrated or fed if needed, and always having my cell phone on me. Communication is key. I am always able to deliver a full written detailed report along with photos to the owner. I understand each pet has their own unique personality and needs. I grew up taking care of multiple dogs within my immediate family. Friends of mine would always ask for me to care for their dogs too. I believe all pets deserve the best care. I will gladly cuddle your pet or give them hugs if they enjoy so. Some activities that I do when I work with dogs is taking them on long energizing walks or runs if they prefer, playing ball in the park, feeding or giving fresh water. It would be a joy to help care for your pet! I have one dog living with me named Bruno , 3 others live with my brother. Usually I get up in the morning and run errands. When I get up I usually walk Bruno in the morning and afternoon if I don’t have any clients. I take very good care of my dog Bruno and will treat your dog the same way. I find it important to have a connection with the dog, so they feel more comfortable and happy. So doing daily walks twice a day, playing with the dog, giving the dog the attention it wants is what I’m really good at. I cannot board right now because of a lot of construction at the house. I can do house sits and drop in visits and walks.
“Maria was absolutely fantastic, she provided photos and detailed feedback after each visit. Maria is very attentive and also kept my plants alive while I was away! Will definitely rebook”

About: I’ve raised and cared for four dogs with wildly different needs: two spirited mixed breeds, a clever Golden Doodle, and a loyal Rottweiler. This hands-on experience taught me how to adapt to every pup’s unique temperament—whether it’s managing a high-energy Doodle’s playfulness, building confidence in shy mixes, or reinforcing gentle discipline for strong breeds like Rotties. **What I Offer:** ✅ **Breed-Specific Insight**: Familiar with the quirks of designer breeds (like Doodles’ smarts + hyperactivity) and powerful guardians (like Rottweilers’ loyalty). ✅ **Puppy Fundamentals**: Housebreaking, leash training, socialization, and basic commands—no bad habits on my watch! ✅ **Tailored Care**: Your dog’s routine = my priority. Need a marathon fetch session? A calm cuddle buddy? Done. I treat every dog like family because, well, they *are*. Let’s chat about how I can keep your pup happy, safe, and thriving! I’m available in the afternoon after 7pm. On my days off I’m fully available for all your pets needs. Runs, walks, cuddles you name it ! Safety always comes first ! By first always figuring out what your pet is comfortable with and what they do not like ! My focus is to always make them feel welcomed and have fun !
About: I’ve been taking care/training dogs of all breeds for years now. I just love pets and spending time with them! I’m looking forward to hanging out with anyone’s pets. :) I am currently working part time and I own my own business, I’m very open so I will be able to take care of your pet anytime you need. I have a fenced yard and I have a friendly labradoodle perfect environment for other dogs . My neighborhood is very relaxed and would love to have another furry friend around! :)
About: My name is Ruby and I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I love them all and my goal is to make sure they are happy and healthy. Your babies will be thoroughly entertained and mentally stimulated when they are with me. I am a quick learner and a friendly individual who follows specific instructions with ease. I look forward to taking care of your furbabies! Experience with dogs for over 15 years. I have walked dogs for 8 years in the past. I have advanced knowledge in dog health, behavior, psychology and nutrition. I have basic knowledge and experience with all other pets. I know doggy CPR. Why I love dog sitting I am a passionate animal lover who only wants the best for them. Being able to care for them while their owners are away and seeing how happy they are after a stay puts a smile on my face. My experience administering medication I administer medication for my dog on a daily basis, as well as friend/family's dogs whenever needed. I’ve given insulin shots, vaccines, oral medication, as well as topical medication. I spend most of my time taking care of animals throughout the day as it is my passion, not to mention I have a decent amount of pets myself. I do also take care of my elderly grandmother so I split my time up accordingly. The pets in my home all get treated equally and as one of my own and they always feel right at home! I wake up and the first thing I do is let the dogs out for their morning bathroom break. They all typically go out into my fenced in yard together as one big group. I prepare their breakfasts while they're all outside and then feed them once they are let back into the house. They spend the day with me around the house where they play with each other and where I play games with them. They go on 2-3 walks per day (if the owners allow me to take them for walks) and get plenty of exercise throughout the day. They're fed their dinner between 6pm and 7pm, get their last potty break at about 9pm and then we are done for the day!
About: I’ve cared for a variety of pets over the years—from cuddly lap cats to energetic pups. I’m reliable, gentle, and always focused on keeping pets happy. I’m currently working part-time while going to Eastern State University so I’m pretty flexible! I create a calm, loving environment where pets feel secure and cared for. You can trust me to treat your furry family members like my own, ensuring peace of mind while you’re away.

My number one goal is keeping my furry companions safe, healthy and happy. My day starts and ends with caring for them in the best way possible. I make sure pets are being fed the best food possible and making sure they are comfortable in our home. I make sure that when I am caring for a pet, that they are comfortable with my presence and I never want to overwhelm them in their own environment or in my own. - 100% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
