“Ian took excellent care of our two dogs while we were away. He was always punctual, sent us photos, and kept us updated throughout the entire stay, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear that our dogs were well cared for and happy. We truly appreciated his professionalism, communication, and attention to detail. We would definitely trust Ian again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter!”

“Nutt was great! She took many pictures of my cat (and lizard) which made me feel comfortable to see them doing well. She texted me if she had any questions and was on time. She is trust worthy and flexible. I would highly recommend her to watch your animals. They will get love and great care. I will use her next time I need drop in visits! Thank you nutt!”
“Carolina was very nice and responsive. Even offered to come to my home for free before the booking to meet me and Jade and allow me to show her where everything was. This was our first time leaving Jade home alone and Carolina made sure we returned like we were never gone.”

“Gosh, I can't imagine have anyone else but Stefanie care for our cat. The two of them have such a rapport. It's because of her kindness and the way she engages with him... she knows how to draw out his energy and satisfy his curiosity. I rest easier knowing that she'll be there and its pretty much a given that she'll provide five-star care every time she comes to visit.”

“Nico was great. Sent us detailed notes on our little chi- including BM consistency. He also sent a ton of pictures. Very reliable!! And our little girl really seems to like him. Highly recommend! Will use again.”

“Sawittree was absolutely amazing. She took such great care of my senior girl, Desi. Before meeting her she asked lots of questions to make sure all Desi’s needs were met. I would see her on my ring camera gently picking her up & carrying her up/down the stairs. She sent me lots of pictures and updates on her potty schedule. I felt so at ease knowing she was in such good hands. Definitely recommend & will rebook!”

“We had an excellent experience with kateryna! From the start, she was professional, kind, and truly attentive to every detail. She carefully followed all the instructions we left and made sure our cats were well cared for. She kept everything clean and organized, and it was clear from the updates and videos that she genuinely cared about our pets. One of our cats is usually very shy, but he warmed up to her a true sign of her patience and gentle nature. We came home to calm, happy cats. We’re very grateful for her care and will definitely book with her again in the future! Thank you so much!”

“Zarah is an excellent sitter. She is all star sitter. She’s excellent with communication and updates. During her drop ins with my cat, she was very warm and gentle. My cat is shy and he opened up pretty quickly with Zarah and got some good playtime in. I highly recommend Zarah for any of pet sitting needs”

“Excellent sitter, I would get her again. She sent photos of my two cats and was very sweet and friendly. She followed all the instructions, and even asked questions when she needed to know something which I love. Awesome job!”

About: I’m a dedicated dog mom to two small dogs and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. Caring for my own dogs has given me experience with daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, basic training, and providing lots of love and attention. I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. I’m currently home full-time, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, walks, and playtime throughout the day. I’m available for daycare, boarding, and drop-in visits, and I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s usual routine whenever possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have two friendly small dogs and understand the importance of maintaining routines, providing supervision, and creating a calm environment. I will follow your pet’s feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions to help them feel safe and comfortable while in my care.
“Kateryna was wonderful! She was thoughtful, accommodating and communicative. Our cats loved her and she made our lives easy. We are very grateful and would hire her again any time.”

About: I have grown up around animals my whole life. I’ve had many pets throughout my life. Currently, I own a dog, a cat, and a parrot myself whom I love so so much. I have been taking care of my pets since I was a young girl and have had many of my families friends and neighbors ask me to take care of their pets as well. I love all types of animals and am not scared of any breed of dog or cat. From big dogs to small, I love them all so much. I am ready to do any service needed, dog walking, house sitting, etc. I love going on walks with dogs, making sure they get their daily exercise in, make sure they have food and water readily available, and even play and cuddle with them. I am also available to stay with them for a certain amount of days. I can go from playing with and training young pups to taking care of senior dogs with special care. I am currently a college student, but take most of my classes online giving me a more flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. 3 days out of the week I work as a tutor for kids. Monday from 3-5, Tuesday from 4-6, and Thursday from 2:30-5:30. But with summer around the corner, I will no longer be tutoring giving me a more flexible schedule. I am available for walks, drop-ins, and other care if needed. I make pet care a priority in my routine and always ensure your pets get my full attention, exercise, and affection during every visit. Your pets safety and comfort are my biggest priorities. I myself have a fenced yard and a dog and a cat who I always play with and provide the biggest affection towards. I closely supervise all interactions and can easily crate your dog if requested. I follow your pet’s routine carefully, provide regular potty breaks, playtime, and lots of love, and always keep you updated with photos for peace of mind.
About: I love being around pets, and I am said by many to be a very kind person. Kindness is my talent, I just love making other people’s days better by being funny or silly. I do not have a lot of experience with dog care, but I would make sure to do my best for you kiddo. I also work as a Portuguese translator, so it is very important that I receive a notice before booking anything, but I am pretty much available every day. Because of the passion that I feel about animals, I never did and would never allow them to be hurt around me. I will always make sure to protect your loved one!

About: I have done pet sitting on and off since I was 10 years old. I have also volunteered with rescue animals (mainly cats) for years as well :)!! I have 2 cats of my own and used to have a dog! I love to work with any pets and am happy to offer any help and advice! I am a student but I am free most days! I am available usually available at times from 1pm-7pm both on weekdays and Sundays. On Saturdays, I am generally available from 6pm-8pm. I am good at handling animals and can crate them, take them out for walks, feed them, or whatever else is needed! I am also good with working with nervous animals.
About: My family has owned pets for as long as I have been alive. I have plenty of experience taking care of both dogs and cats and I love to do so. I’m also an athlete, so walking/playing with your pet for an extended period of time is no problem at all. I’m always available on weekdays after 1 pm. I train for tennis in the mornings from 6:30-12 and am looking to fill my time in the afternoons as well as support my lifestyle. I am not able to house pets at my home but I am able to accommodate any needs or routine your pet has in your home.
“Juliette was great with our dog! Very reliable, communicative, trustworthy and super nice. She sent photos, gave updates, and kept in contact during the walks/visits. Highly recommend!”

“Very happy with Elysia. I would recommend her to others. She took great care of my cats while I was away. They were fed on schedule, my litter was clean, and my house remained clean when I returned after a long trip. I'm thankful to have found her.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Mission Bay
Neusa did a wonderful job taking care of my two kitties for 3 days while I was out of town. She genuinely loves and understands cats and is a cat mom herself, and she cared for my beloved kitties as if they were her own. She followed all instructions to a tee and was very respectful of the house, leaving the space better than she found it. She was highly responsive, communicative, and professional. I highly recommend Neusa and hope to work with her again in the future. Thank you!

Shirley was absolutely wonderful! She was reliable, caring, and treated our pet like her own. Communication was excellent, and we loved receiving updates and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. Our pet was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we returned. We will definitely be using Shirley again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter.
Marissa again did a great job taking care of my kitties Reese and Pumpkin while I was out of town for Thanksgiving for 2 nights. She genuinely loves cats and has a special connection with my kitties. She spent plenty of time sitting and cuddling with my cats so I felt comfortable knowing my cats felt loved and attended to in my absence. Marissa kept everything tidy in my house and left everything as I had left it. Again she followed all instructions to a tee and I look forward to booking her again in the future. Thank you!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mission Bay. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
