“I am thankful to find rover.com! Pamela took excellent care of our 11 year old German Shepherd. She sent me pictures/updates of our girl. I was very nervous because we recently moved to the areas and our dog has never stayed with someone she didn't know before. I would not hesitate to let our beloved Dakota stay there again!”

“Michaela took care of our 3 year old goldendoodle. He is usually scared of small dogs and I was worried about leaving him with Michaela's pups but he did well. She sent me pictures of him during his stay morning noon and night giving me so much peace of mind. Highly recommend Michaela and we will continue to board our golden doodle with her.”

“I was so nervous about leaving my 12 week old Alaskan Malamute puppy for the first time, but Josie put us both right at ease! It is clear that she is experienced with all types of dogs and really cares about their well being. Indy felt right at home, and I felt like I was leaving her with family who truly cared about her as much as I do. She got tons of attention and play time with Josie’s two kids and I got tons of pictures and updates to let me know she was doing well. Indy will definitely be going back to stay with Josie next time I need a sitter!”
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I’ve worked with playful puppies, independent cats, and senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I love getting to know each pet’s personality—whether that means long walks, playtime, or quiet cuddles—and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My goal is to make your pet feel like they’re with a friend, not just a sitter. Pet care is already part of my daily routine because I care for my own cat every day, from feeding and cleaning the litter box to playtime and making sure she feels loved and comfortable. Having my own pet has made me attentive to routines, behavior changes, and the small details that help animals feel safe and cared for. I also love spending time with dogs, whether that’s going on walks, playing, or giving them the attention and exercise they need. Caring for pets fits naturally into my routine because it’s something I genuinely enjoy and make time for every day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, clean up after them, and make sure they get the playtime, walks, or quiet companionship they need. I believe pets feel most secure in their own home because it’s their safe space, surrounded by familiar smells and routines. Being able to care for them in that environment helps build trust and creates a stronger, more positive relationship, making the experience less stressful for both the pet and the owner.
“Leigh Anne was so wonderful with our beautiful Karma!! Her house and yard are designed to care for your animal with plenty of fences and cameras! She even sent us a photo and an update!! I would recommend her for sure. Will be using her in the future to care for our yellow lab!”

“Mathew and Migchalee were fantastic watching Rudy! Updates with photos/videos were given daily which helped ease any worries and concerns on how my pup was doing. They took very good care of him; wouldn’t hesitate using them again if needed!”

“We love Kevin! This was the 3rd time our bernedoodle puppy stayed with him and he had just been neutered 3 days beforehand but we knew he would be in good hands. Kevin administered the medications and also followed all of the instructions as far as activity level and play. He even ended up having to use a baby gate to ensure safety! We are greatly appreciative of Kevin!”

“Jennifer was very accommodating & we made a last minute booking & got the meet in greet in to make sure her doggies & ours was compatible. She welcomed us with open arms & let our dog check things out & then meet her doggie. Our dog felt comfortable & so did I & the doggies had the same energy level as ours is a boxer. Well they played & played. Loved the picture updates & video. They loved our dog like their own. She could sit on the couch with them & even sat on their laps. The fence in yard makes you feel at ease & took daily walks. We will be back. Thanks for loving our doggie & making it a stress free time away.”

About: I have a Belgian Malanois who’s name is Beau. He is an Extremely passionate and caring dog with a high drive to learn. I have put In the time and effort to train and build our relationship as a family. I also have a Golden retriever and she couldn’t care less about anything other than love haha. I have a full time job, which ends at 2:00pm. From 2:00pm until bed I spend with my dog whether it be training, or walking. I spend a minimum of 2 hours a day training with Beau. I believe that your dog can fit right in and be in a comfortable, safe, home away from home. I do not have a fenced in yard yet but I’m outside every time my pups go out. If need be, I have leashes I can use to let your pup outside as well.
“Haley is AMAZING! She took care of my 15 week old puppy last minute, and was super communicative. She sent photos and updates, as well as took him to socialize and made sure he was well taken care of. THANK YOU!”

About: I have always grew up around dogs in my home and friends, family home. My grandma used to foster dogs and she taught me a lot I know about them including but not limited to administering shots and medications. I currently work full-time. However, the dog door and fenced in yard allows your dog to be out and roam freely while I am away. I am also okay to crate your dog if that is what you would prefer. When I get home it's usually clean, play, and dinner time. As the night goes on its movies and cuddles. I have a fenced in yard and a doggy door to let your dog(s) run around outside and play during the day freely as wanted. I love to take walks in the nice weather with the dogs and play fetch out in the yard. I have an indoor camera and outdoors cameras to keep eyes when I'm not home.
“Carl had a great time with Krista and her family! She took great care of him while we were away on vacation and I think Carl had as much fun as we did. Krista was flexible, responsive, and great to work with. Would definitely book again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mishawaka
Chris did such a great job taking care of Maggie! He sent us updates and pictures the whole time we were gone which was so nice. She came home happy and relaxed. And when we went to pick her up she kept going back to say bye to Chris and his family, she’s never done that before! We’ll definitely book with them again and recommend them to anyone!

Then did an excellent job taking care of my fur baby. When he got home sick and didn’t want to eat, she hand, fed him grass, fed beef, organic chicken, and chicken livers. She made him a bed on the floor of her office so that he could be with her when she was working. During the storms, she shared her lap with chewy as well as her two dogs. I would highly recommend Lynn.

I recently had the pleasure of working with an incredible dog watcher who truly went above and beyond. His responsiveness and flexibility were evident. I have an older dog with specific needs, particularly related to his bladder issues, and this gentleman showed a deep understanding and compassion for my dog's situation. He took exceptional care of my furry friend, ensuring he was comfortable and happy throughout their time together. It was reassuring to know that my dog was in such capable hands, especially after my frustrating experiences with other dog watchers on Rover. I had two previous bookings fall through, one at the last minute, which almost made me lose faith in the service. Thankfully, this amazing dog watcher stepped in just when I needed help the most. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, caring dog watcher. His dedication to providing the best care possible is truly commendable. If you're searching for someone reliable and understanding, look no further!

Millie was having a hard time adjusting to the new atmosphere and Bettyann really seemed to go above and beyond making sure she was taken care of and as comfortable as possible. She gave us updates through the stay on how Millie was doing. She had to clean up some messes and feed Millie by hand and was happy to do so. I would highly recommend her as a sitter!

Lorraine did an excellent job with our dog Josie! Josie has separation anxiety and Lorraine was so kind and patient with her, making her feel safe and comfortable. By the end of her stay she was having a blast! Lorraine was great at communicating and giving photos and updates as well. We will rebook next time we need someone to take care of Josie. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
