“This was our first time using Rover and I was really nervous about the whole process. We have a 15 year old senior cat, a 2 year old cat, a few chickens and a bearded dragon so it’s a lot to look after. Marcella took great care of everyone and was very communicative with me about the visits. I think she went above and beyond, even bringing my chickens scraps (which they love whenever they get them). She spent extra time with the cats and when I returned home I didn’t feel that my senior cat was stressed at all that we had been gone, and my younger usually outdoor/indoor cat didn’t seem to be upset at having been indoors all week. They both seemed very content so I felt like she spent a lot of time with them. My beardie got extra exercise as well. I would have her take care of our pets again in the future!”

About: I’ve been walking my family’s dogs for almost a decade now - a high energy Brittany spaniel & a very large husky/shepherd mix. 7 years ago I rescued a German shepherd/pit bull mix (Layla) who I’ve trained extensively and take on daily adventures. Then, a year ago I rescued Dixon (a German shepherd/Australian cattle dog mix) and he’s been reactive to humans & dogs alike. I’ve completed extensive training in classes with him alongside professionals. I’ve taken that experience and can apply many basic training concepts to dogs of all sizes/ages. I’m currently available throughout the work week at any time (as an educator on summer break). As of September 1st, I will be available from 2pm into the early evening. Book early to save a spot right at 2! I know a wide variety of trails/walking spots in the local area, so your pup will always be enriched & happy! I make sure to carry some kind of dog deterrent (PetSafe SprayShield or Pet Corrector) in case of emergency, and try to engage in positive reinforcement training throughout walks. This looks like rewarding the dog(s) with treats when they check in with me, stay in a heel, or keep loose tension on the leash. Within your home, I’ll always change/refill the water for the dog(s) after the walk.

About: I have always loved dogs and I grew up with both dogs and cats! I also used to work at a doggie daycare where I helped take care of dogs daily! I’m a college student and I have a good amount of free time on my hands in between classes! I have a dog back at my house and I dog sit so I have a very good understanding of dogs needs! About: I’ve taken care of my two dogs for the past five years. I got my adorable dog Bailey as a puppy so I’m experienced with puppies. I’m a violin teacher and I own my own business. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. My schedule is very flexible in the mornings and early afternoons. I work as a violin teacher during the after school so am available in the mornings and afternoons during the week. I am available between 8 am and 3 pm Monday thru Friday. I have my own two friendly dogs to keep your dog company. I can easily crate your dog if needed. Our yard is open at present but my husband and I anticipate having it fenced in this spring/summer.
