About: Always had dogs & cats as a kid. Always loved it too! I worked with them for years and years and got a good overall feel/sense for various types and breeds, situations etc. I started taking care of neighbors pets, then friends too, and once Covid shut down our family stores, it gave me a chance to continue doing what I love, working with animals! I especially enjoy the challenge of winning over dogs that are timid, uncomfortable, anxious, have been abused, etc. I love proving to them that they're Safe. Everythings alright. Its ok to relax. “Cate is amazing! She saved our vacation twice! First time by being willing to step in last minute after plans with another sitter fell through - Cate did a same day meet & greet and impressed us so much with her calm competence that we felt okay leaving. The second time was by winning over our most neurotic kitty and convincing her to eat, so we could continue our vacation rather than driving back to feed her (which has happened before)! Cate took beautiful photos of all our kitties, and quickly mastered administering multiple meds and fluids to our most senior kitty. She kept us completely updated all the time we were away. They are both very sweet and happy pups who are used to sharing their home with dog- guests (whether boarding or fosters). When they were younger they went to daycare 2x a week and are well socialized and good with sharing their toys/beds/treats/etc. Pongo can be weary/protective the first time he meets a new dog and may give a growl or 2, but warms up quickly once he realizes they are friendly! Izzy and Pongo are both on the calmer side, and do best with dogs who will play/wrestle/run with them outside and then relax, lounge, and chew on some Benebones inside with them! Your dog is free to nap and hangout on the couch, dog beds, or our bed.
