“Amanda did great checking in on our ladies! She came even though it was snowing and put on the dog's sweaters did them to go outside (not requested!). Thank you, again, Amanda! You do a great job and I'd definitely recommend you.”
“Needed someone to play ball with my dogs while I was out of town and my wife was home recovering from surgery. Peggy was accommodating and reliable. She helped tire out the pups so my wife could continue to heal. Would definitely use again!”
About: I’ve always known I wanted to be around dogs, that I’ve taken care of my families dog across states and stayed as long as wanted willingly, never asked for Pet care is an enjoyment for me as I’m an animal lover and have done a couple pre vet classes in college that i still attend I have two dogs of my own at home and take them out separately. I take my smaller dog out every two hours & play as i have a big backyard
“Cheryl took great care of my two cats while I was on a two week vacation. She handled food, water, treats, litter, and play just right. From the meet and greet, I could tell she has a sweet and gentle touch and really understands how to relate to cats. Her thorough updates including photos kept me confident that they were in good hands.”

About: I grew up on a farm, and always cared for multiple dogs at the same time. My wife and I have had, or cared for dogs almost all our adult lives. I enjoy caring for dogs and spending time walking with them, playing with them, and just being with them. I recently retired, and my wife works from home, so we’re both here all day. I take daily walks, and spend a lot of time outdoors. I have a good-sized yard, live in a quiet neighborhood, and my property borders conservation land. I can easily accommodate a crate, dog bed, etc.

“This was our first time hiring Jill and she did an awesome job coming to our home to check in on our three pups. We only needed afternoon visits and she did a great job spending time with them outside and making sure their water bowl was full. She left our house locked up and alarm set with no problems. Because Jill was so reliable and professional we hired her for the remaining 2 weeks that we needed the extra help. I not only recommend her but will hire her in the future!”

About: I have the biggest heart for animals and treat any animal that comes into my care like my own! I have plenty of experience sitting for both cats and dogs for the past five years. I am the main sitter for both friends and family and take pride in my care! I currently work the 3-11 shift, so I have a very flexible availability of days during the week to also help accommodate the schedule of others ! I have a fur baby of my own, an indoor kitty who is 4 years old. I am very experienced with indoor pets and how to be cautious when caring for them. I also have a lot of experience pet sitting outdoor animals, fenced in yards and animals with crate training.
About: Always had dogs & cats as a kid. Always loved it too! I worked with them for years and years and got a good overall feel/sense for various types and breeds, situations etc. I started taking care of neighbors pets, then friends too, and once Covid shut down our family stores, it gave me a chance to continue doing what I love, working with animals! I especially enjoy the challenge of winning over dogs that are timid, uncomfortable, anxious, have been abused, etc. I love proving to them that they're Safe. Everythings alright. Its ok to relax. Some are nervous around me or arent great with adults/males/strangers etc. That's Ok! Please see my reviews, Thanks for your consideration! My day totally revolves around my clients. They come First! Depending on what care I have to give to each animal. I'm around all the time otherwise! I take countless precautions to assure the safety of anyone and everyone that will be involved in my care for my clients. I keep an eye on them all day and night!
“Jessica did a great job checking in on our kitties while we were out of town! We have a unique situation with an rv parked at a campsite and she was very accommodating and gave us updates on them every day”

“Jacey is awesome! She took such great care of my 8-year old German Shepherd while we were away at Disney for Thanksgiving week. She was super reliable with her timing, feeding schedule, and walks. So sweet, kind, and helpful, everything you hope for when leaving your fur babies with a sitter. Thank you, Jacey, for taking such good care of Letty! She was so happy when I got back. And an extra thank you for putting out the recycling and trash for me! I’ve used Rover for a while and always found great, trusted sitters and Jacey is definitely one of the best 🙂”

“Nicole was great and my cat loved her! She kept me up to date with lots of pictures and texts during her visits which was awesome. It made leaving my cat at home a little easier knowing Nicole was checking in on her and giving her lots of love.”

“Julie is phenomenal! Can’t recommend her enough. She consistently goes above and beyond and treats our home and foster pup with so much love and respect. She is so kind and loving and will truly care for your pet! Thank you, Julie!”

About: Hey there! My goal is to help ease the stress of leaving your pet at home when you can't take them with you. I have had dogs since I was a kid, 4 Newfoundlands, a Black Lab-Brittnay Spaniel mix, and I now have Charlie, a 9 yr old German Shepherd-Black Mouth Cur mix and Finn, a 1 yr old Heeler. Finn came to us as a puppy, so I have plenty of experience dealing with those puppy messes and temperaments. Most of our newfoundlands had hip problems near the end of their life, so I have no problem helping with senior dogs that need a little more care. I have also had multiple cats throughout my life and now have Luna, she is 11. Summer is here! If you need someone to check in on your dog while you take a day trip to the beach, I'm happy to stop in and spend time with your furry one. I would ask that we plan a meet and greet prior, then we're all set for those last minute plans! I have 2 boys that are in school, so I'd like to spend time during the day helping other pet parents. My flexible schedule gives me the ability to be available on short notice. I am willing to fit in weekend time, but just need a little heads up due to family activities. I am happy to walk and play with your pet while I visit. If they like a good brush, I'm happy to bond with them in that way, too.
About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have always loved caring for them. Whether it’s going for long walks, playing outside, or just spending quality time together, I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and making sure they’re happy and well cared for. I understand how important it is to keep pets active, loved, and safe, and I treat every dog like they’re part of the family. As a teacher currently on summer break, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. My days are open, so I’m available for walks, drop-ins, or extended stays throughout the week. I love having the opportunity to spend my break doing something I enjoy—being active, outdoors, and taking care of pets. It’s the perfect way to combine my love for animals with my free time during the summer months. When school starts, I’m available after 3pm. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, comfortable, and fun environment. I have a fenced yard where dogs can run and play freely under supervision, which gives them a great outlet for exercise and fresh air. Inside, pets have plenty of space to relax and feel at home. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, whether that means regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, or cuddles. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and routines, making sure their pets feel secure and cared for while maintaining consistency in their daily lives.
About: I'm a stay at home wife, so I have plenty of time throughout the day to check on your four legged friend. I love all pets, and have never met one I didn't like. I've been taking care of pets my whole life. I had a business as a pre-teen, and I always get asked by my friends and family to watch their pets. I'm a stay at home wife. I had a car accident 2 years ago, and I broke my back. I did a good amount of physical therapy, and my healing has gone well, but I didn't want to return to my job in a bakery. My husband decided to support us, which leaves me free to pursue passions, like pet care and amusemant. I treat my pets like people. I talk to them and listen to them. I work very hard to earn their trust. Cats, I get low to their level and let them look in my eyes, scent my hands. Dogs, I allow to smell me and greet me.
“Stacy was wonderful! Very communicative and easy to work with. She came over for a meet and greet ahead of time and showered our sweet foster, Petey with lots of love. He was so happy to see her and was totally at ease. You can tell Stacy really cares for the animals she takes care of! Will definitely book Stacy again!”

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Hopedale stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hopedale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Hopedale with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
