About: I have a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and four years of hands-on experience working in both a veterinary clinic and a dog kennel/daycare. I’m currently a first-year veterinary student at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, continuing to build my knowledge and skills in animal health and behavior. I’m comfortable administering medications, including injectable medications such as insulin, and have experience caring for dogs with behavioral challenges, including dog-aggressive dogs. With four years of veterinary clinic and dog daycare experience, along with my current veterinary education, I’m comfortable recognizing changes in behavior or health and handling a variety of personalities and needs. I also have experience with dogs who may be reactive or aggressive toward other dogs, so I take introductions, walks, and environmental safety seriously. My goal is for every pet to feel safe and cared for while their owner is away.

About: I'm good with all animals. I've just always clicked with our little furry friends. No dog is too big and no cat is too spicy. I'm logical, fun, and love playing with animals. I'm currently in a tough job market as AI is really taking over a lot of the software world. I'd love to make a little side hustle money while taking care of our furry friends. I think the most important thing is I treat all animals with love and respect. And I'm not looking to mess up any routines you guys have set. I will execute them for the letter.

“Heather was absolutely amazing! Our senior cat recently started on insulin shots twice a day and we were nervous about leaving him. We were put at ease as soon as we met Heather. She came twice a day promptly at the times he needed his meds and cared for him as if he was her own pet! We got updates and photos at each visit and it seems like our old kitty fell into a nice, relaxed routine with her😊. She did an amazing job keeping his days as “normal” as possible for him and she went way above and beyond keeping his entire space (and ours) tidy. About: I’ve been walking my family’s dogs for almost a decade now - a high energy Brittany spaniel & a very large husky/shepherd mix. 7 years ago I rescued a German shepherd/pit bull mix (Layla) who I’ve trained extensively and take on daily adventures. Then, a year ago I rescued Dixon (a German shepherd/Australian cattle dog mix) and he’s been reactive to humans & dogs alike. I’ve completed extensive training in classes with him alongside professionals. I’ve taken that experience and can apply many basic training concepts to dogs of all sizes/ages. I’m currently available throughout the work week at any time (as an educator on summer break). As of September 1st, I will be available from 2pm into the early evening. Book early to save a spot right at 2! I know a wide variety of trails/walking spots in the local area, so your pup will always be enriched & happy! I make sure to carry some kind of dog deterrent (PetSafe SprayShield or Pet Corrector) in case of emergency, and try to engage in positive reinforcement training throughout walks. This looks like rewarding the dog(s) with treats when they check in with me, stay in a heel, or keep loose tension on the leash. Within your home, I’ll always change/refill the water for the dog(s) after the walk.

About: I have experience working with many different animals including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and even cattle. I love spending time with animals and currently working as a veterinary assistant at a small animal clinic. I have lots of experience pet sitting and dog walking and also have experience working around livestock so no dog is too big! Walking your dog will be of great enjoyment for both myself and your pet and I will work to create a bond between me and your pet so that we both make the most of our time. I can’t wait to work with you and your fur baby! I go to school full time, so pet sitting and dog walking is something I do on the side, so I can spend more time with animals! If possible I like to meet dogs for the first time with their owner around to lower their stress and slightly away from their home if possible (particularly if they are known to be protective of their homes).
