About: I grew up caring for my neighbors’ dogs whenever they were out of town, and I have continued to build hands-on experience with dogs throughout my adult life. Over the past ten years, I have cared for two high-energy pit bulls, which has strengthened my confidence handling active, strong, and playful dogs. I am friendly and comfortable with dogs of all types, and I consider myself a reliable and attentive dog walker. As an Eagle Scout, I value responsibility, trust, and treating both people and animals with respect. I have also trained my current dog, Bowie, through Kabler Dog School, and I strive to follow their best practices when caring for my own dog and any pets I work with. I am currently returning to school, which gives me a flexible weekday schedule for pet care. I have always enjoyed working with dogs and pride myself on maintaining an active lifestyle, making me a great fit for walks, playtime, and attentive care. I am available Monday through Friday for pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in activity visits. About: Hi! I'm Maria, new to the Rover community but not new to the animal community! I have worked in the past as a vet tech- experienced in administering medicine, fluids, and injections, as well as boarding and petsitting. From an early age, I've always loved animals and have felt like they were my calling. I have a dog of my own, as well as 2 guinea pigs, and a turtle. I know pets are like family, and how important it is to find quality care for them so my goal is make your pets feel as comfortable and safe as can be in your absence. I have a fenced in yard, two enthusiastic animal loving assistants, and have an open and flexible schedule to help meet your personalized needs. I live in a quiet subdivision that makes for a peaceful dog walking experience. I also live 5 mins away from a park if that is your dog walking preference. We are also an active family and go on hikes at least twice a week. We can fit in more hikes if need be...we love nature! Dogs will be leashed when they are outside with the exception of our fenced in yard. I have an available crate and dog gates and can accommodate your dog's needs if you wish for them to be kept separate from pets or if that's simply the way you've trained them at home. Making the recent big move from NYC to beautiful North Carolina has now made it possible for me to offer my animal loving services and experience, and I am so grateful for it! I am excited to meet you and your pets and hope to be able to offer you a peace of mind while they are under my care! I am a currently a stay at home mom. I homeschool my older girls from home so I have an open and flexible availability. I am happy to offer boarding, pet-sitting, and dog walking. I have a fenced in yard. I also have a dog of my own but can easily keep them separate if that is your preference.

About: I’ve cared for animals since I was about 10 years old. I’ve helped train puppies from a young age, and nursed kittens from 3-weeks old. More recently I’ve helped nurse and rehabilitate my senior dog after her major ACL surgery. She was sling bound for 6 weeks so I feel very comfortable with a large range of ages, and needs in cats and dogs. I have a huge love for all animals and believe all of them deserve love and care just like humans! I’m also here because my lovely fiancé and I just got engaged this past summer. I’m hoping to save up and earn as much money as I can to help host our dream wedding here in the mountains next year! We both love our babies and I would be happy to give your fur babies that same love and support ☺️ UPDATE: Sadly I can no longer provide overnight sittings. I AM available to do a sitting that does not require me to stay at your home overnight. I understand if this prevents you from hiring me for a sitting. I currently work remote full-time but do have some flexibility in my schedule to fit in drop-ins and walks. Wednesdays are usually when I have the most calls, but of course can try and work around my and your schedule. I’m happy to come to your home to give you that reassurance that your fur baby is doing okay while you’re away. As I said, I work fully remote so my pets pretty much have constant care unless I’m traveling for work. I typically let my dog out about 3-4 times a day depending on her needs, so I’m happy to do the same for your dog. She gets fed twice a day, as well as my cat. Every now and then we will switch out dry food for wet food just to give them both some variety, so I’m happy to do the same for your pet. You and your pet’s comfortability are my priority so I’m happy to cater to your preferences.

About: I love all creatures. I personally have 3 of my own(2 dogs/1 cat) and I'm always looking to meet and care for other ppl's creatures when need be. I live near the Asheville airport & work nearby. I work day & evening shifts, which gives me time to visit creature clients. Prefer no overnights, due to my pets, but can swing a night or 2 if needed. Can do early am/late pm visits. I’ll make sure your babies are well taken care of. About: My experience comes from an educational, professional, AND personal background! 🐾 But first, let’s talk about what pertains to YOU! For all pets, here’s what you can expect in a visit: - 30 min drop in with regular rate (charges for extra time noted below) - I will fill that time however you’d like. Walks, playtime, enrichment, quality time, meals, scooping litter boxes etc. I am willing to spend that time doing what’s best for your furry family member. - Pictures of course! Even if you have a feline friend that’s shy & hides, I’ll do my best to still send you a picture of what was accomplished during my visit. — If you have multiple dogs, please book extra time if you’d like them all to receive equal amounts of exercise and attention. All dogs over 50 lbs I will require to walk separately (i.e. If you’d like your two large dogs to be walked 30 minutes, please book me for 60) Here’s what I’m comfortable with and have experience in: — Dogs & cats of all ages — Multi pet households (albeit, any major aggression issues among multi dog households must be clearly laid out and agreed upon before visit) — Feeding food of all kinds (kibble to raw!) — Keeping within your household training and structure. For dogs that use tools for walking, I am happy to keep with those. — Administering oral medication with dogs & cats — Administering injectable or topical medication for dogs & cats on a case by case basis With all pets, I require in person instruction for anything beyond basic care. I ENCOURAGE an in person meet and greet before any care (can be day of). For ALL visits, expect lots of pictures and communication 📸 Now… more about me! In undergrad, I majored in Wildlife Biology. Now, I’ve been working for an exotic cat rescue nonprofit for the past 3+ years. Currently, I’m working remotely and will be going to law school in the fall! For what? Animal law of course! My personal pets include my cats, Fosse & Fizz, and Ziggy my corgi. I work from home! Because of my flexible set-up & schedule, I can be very flexible for your pet, too. My calendar will remain up to date, so check there for my most updated availability! Attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety are my top priorities. I do things by your rules, but will ask how to keep those 3 pillars top of mind. When coming to your home, I will be a respectful guest— prioritizing the needs of your furry family member. Don’t be surprised if I ask you lots of questions! That’s my way of ensuring I’m doing exactly what you and your pet need.
