“We tried Janae after our regular walker wasn’t available & another didn’t respond. She responded right away, was very accommodating, arrived early, & took good care of our Shelby. We would definitely recommend.”

About: I have a genuine love for animals and I have been pet/house sitting for about 10 years. I have always had pets and been around all different kinds of animals. I just graduated from law school, I started my new job post law school. I do work in an office, but I am able to stop in and make sure your animal is taken care of. I live in an apartment so I would prefer to take care of a pet at your home. I am happy to walk a dog on a leash, let them out to play, play with them, take them to a dog park.
“Grace works patiently to gain the dog’s trust. Her questions demonstrate true care and concern. She ensures she is walking at the dog’s pace. Grace is professional, kind and considerate. I feel honored to have met her and trust her completely with my dog.”

About: Hello! You can call me Wendy. I’m a tenured physics professor and a lifelong animal lover. I currently have three cats of my own and many years of experience caring for both cats and dogs. I have experience caring for senior pets and understand the importance of routines, medication schedules, and paying close attention to changes in behavior and health. I’m patient, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their family is away. For pets boarding in my home, I understand that some pets may be more comfortable having their own space. If you prefer, I can keep my three cats completely separate from your pet for the entire stay, so your pet can relax in a safe, quiet environment. As a professor, I bring professionalism, responsibility, and strong communication to every pet-sitting job. My schedule is especially flexible during evenings, weekends, holidays, and university breaks. Whether you need house sitting, drop-in visits, dog walking, feeding, litter box cleaning, or care for senior pets, I will treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I give my own.
About: I was fortunate enough to be raised in a home with a variety of animals! I have had dogs my entire life, and cats for the last decade, with bunnies, frogs, hamsters, hermit crabs, and more along the way! Anyone who knows me, knows how important my pets are to me. They are more than pets, they are my family! I have had big, medium, and small dog breeds, and worked with cats with all different personality types and backgrounds. I understand how important it is to have peace of mind with the person responsible for your family members when you're away, and with me you will never doubt that your fur babies are being spoiled! Working with me, you'll find that I can accommodate any request or 'weird pet quirk' that you may throw my way. I find that animals respond well to my calm and genuine nature, and it provides enjoyment for me as well! I just recently got engaged and am hoping to help fund my wedding and future home, please reach out if you have any questions or special requests! I am also known to send probably too many pictures while you're gone, for that extra reassurance that all is well! I look forward to becoming a part of your village, please don't hesitate to reach out for all pet and house care needs! I work from home as a mental health professional and create my own schedule, so pet care can fit very easily into my routine. I will be as flexible as possible with the families I work with, and communication will never be a concern! At this time, in order to protect my own fur babies and yours, I will not be bringing client's pets' into my own home. I find that pets are more comfortable in their own environment most of the time, and I would rather keep their comfort a priority. I follow directions provided by the families on how to best keep their pet comfortable with a new person entering their space. Reading their behavior and body language is so important!

About: My healthcare background brings an extra level of reliability, attention to detail, safety, and calm presence. I have experience with puppies, senior pets, and pets with special or unique needs. I am not only CPR and first aid certified for humans, but I have my certification for pets as well. 😊 My experience and comfort level extends beyond just cats and dogs as well. Whether you have a high energy puppy or a senior pet needing patient care, l’ll provide the highest level of love and compassionate care like I do for my own. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. I naturally incorporate pet care into my schedule which allows time for walks, cuddles, enrichment, and keeping pets happy, healthy, and comfortable while their family is away. I treat every client’s home and pets with the same care and respect as I want for my own home and pets. I follow detailed instructions, maintain routines, prioritize safety, provide updates, maintain cleanliness, and create a calm and comfortable environment while you’re away.

About: I have owned dogs and cats for the past 14 years and every single one has been spoiled and shown unconditional love. If your fur baby has any medical conditions or is recovering from surgery, I’ll assist anyway I can to make sure they are comfortable. As my animals have aged, I’ve experienced my fare share of nonstop watching, carrying and cleaning so the task is not a negative. I will make sure you feel the least stress possible. Whether it’s long walks, runs, just playtime or cuddles - your fur baby will be taken care of with an extra eye. If there are any special requests regarding your dog/cat, don’t be afraid to ask! I am here to assist you in whatever way I can. Thank you! I have a flexible daily and weekly routine, which allows me to visit pets during mornings, afternoons or evenings. I can easily fit walks, playtime, feeding and cuddles around my schedule and I prioritize being consistent and attentive so pets feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable and loved whether I’m visiting their home or caring for them at mine. I provide attention, playtime, walks, feeding and cuddles! I follow any special instructions the owner provides. I always keep a close eye on their needs and make sure they’re happy and stress-free while in my care.
“Zane warmed up to Annie right away upon her visit. When we got home from being away all day, Zane was perfectly normal and he’s a dog who has had separation anxiety in the past. Great photos of Zane while she was walking him; he looked like he enjoyed the time.”

“Winnie looked like she was loving her walk! Oliver responded really quickly to requests, was quite communicative and I loved the photos! (I hav a hard time getting good ones of her.) Thanks, Oliver!”

About: I grew up near a state park and lived alongside the wildlife it had to offer (gators, deer, black bears, reptiles, even a FL panther...). My pet experience began with my sweet puppy of 17 years. I was so excited to adopt my own dog, and my parents helped me prepare by giving me books and films on dog training. I watched her grow and change through all her stages of life (puppy to very geriatric); she passed last year and was the best girl. Grad school turned me into a cat mom of 2, and they probably know as much about the Krebs cycle as I do. I've been pet-sitting since I was 8 years old. I love animals, I love being outside, I would love to care for your pet! Right now I am waiting to start a new job, so I have a lot of availability through the next month! I can be flexible :) I try to start introductions slowly and let the pet know they are safe with me before attempting things like walks. I know I am in their home!
“Rebecca has been amazing with our dog! She is always on time, gives us updates on the walks, and helps adjust to anything we might need for that particular day regarding the dog's needs. I would trust her with my dog any time!”

“We love her! Lydia is very sweet, caring, polite, punctual and honest. I found a gem in her! She's a natural, my baby Gunner adores her the moment he saw her. She's someone that you can trust and depend on. I highly recommend her! Thank you Rover! Thank you Lydia and looking forward to hire you again. Kudos!”

“Jessica has been great! Got back to me very quickly when I was looking for someone to walk my pup and has been on time and very good with communication which I appreciate! Thank you!!”

“Ashlea was great with my introverted senior dog. It was a same day request, but she was very accommodating. My dog came home happy after her walk with Ashlea. So glad to have found her!”

About: A Lifetime of Loving Dogs 🐾 Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I’ve grown up with dogs of all different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, so I understand that every pup has their own unique needs, quirks, and routines. 🐶❤️ I’ve also been dog sitting and house sitting for many years, caring for pets while their families are away. I’ve done everything from quick stays to extended house-sitting stays, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog and making them feel comfortable in their own routine and environment. Whether your pup needs lots of playtime and walks, a little extra attention and cuddles, or simply a calm and loving companion while you’re away, I’m happy to give them the care they deserve. I treat every dog like they’re my own and understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person caring for your fur baby. My goal is simple: happy pups, happy pet parents, and plenty of tail wags! 🐾💕

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
