About: Hi! We’re Laura and Grant — lifelong dog lovers with years of hands-on experience caring for pups at every stage of life. We’ve raised three dogs from puppyhood and understand exactly what it takes to create a calm, structured, and loving environment while you’re away. We’re skilled in: Puppy care & crate training Caring for allergy-sensitive pups Maintaining feeding and medication routines Creating a safe, low-stress home environment Building trust with shy or first-time-away dogs Your dog won’t just be “watched”—they’ll be loved, played with, and treated like part of the family. We’re big on communication, so you’ll receive plenty of photo and video updates throughout their stay. Whether your pup loves playtime, snuggles, structured routines, or quiet relaxation, we adjust to their needs. Our goal is simple: Give your dog a home-away-from-home experience so you can travel with complete peace of mind. We can’t wait to meet your pup! 🐾💛 We both work from home full time, which means your pup gets constant attention and care throughout the day. Walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and outdoor time are built naturally into our routine, so your dog is never left waiting. In our home, dogs can freely explore the downstairs area, with monitored access to the upstairs when appropriate. We’re located in a gated, low-traffic neighborhood ideal for safe daily walks. Our backyard provides an additional secure outdoor space for play and potty breaks. Every part of their environment is supervised and set up with your pet’s safety in mind.
“Chuckie absolutely loves spending the day with Lawrence! As soon as we arrive he gets excited and can't wait to get out of the car. Lawrence is kind and patient with him, takes him on several walks, and spends time cuddling with him. I know my baby boy is well taken care of every time and I am so very thankful!”

“Jing was truly amazing with my dogs! From the very first meeting, they were instantly calm around her, which never happens with new people. She has such a gentle, grounding presence, and you can tell she genuinely understands animals. Before the actual sitting, she even took them for a walk at the park to help them get comfortable with her, which I appreciated so much. Throughout the day, Jing kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. She was incredibly communicative, reliable, and attentive to every detail. My dogs absolutely adored her, and I could see how well cared for and relaxed they were when I got home. I would definitely use her services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and thoughtful sitter!”

“We needed to urgently find a day sitter for our young dog that just got spayed. We had just adopted a new dog and didn't completely trust her being alone yet. She also came from the shelter and had her own traumas she's working through. Haijin and Victor came to my rescue. They were so kind to her and treated her with nothing but love. They eased my anxious mind with photos and videos of my girl looking comfortable with them. I can tell they really love these animals. I'm happy to bring her to them again in case I ever need another sitter because I felt like my pup was safe in their care. That's most important to me. Thank you again Haijin and Victor!!”

“My dog has had an amazing time at Eric’s. Eric has taken a very good care of my dog. They took Ace for walk, and their dogs were super cute and friendly with my dog too. Eric sent me nice pics of my dog having fun and cozy time at theirs. It was extremely loving to also see their puppies playing and having fun with my dog at theirs place.”

“Great communication, a lot of photos and attentive to our questions/needs. I love that they are very quick with responses making me feel at ease. Thank you Yang and we’ll see you for our next booking!”

“Highly recommend Fatima! She is awesome! My pup is sick and had to give her different kinds of medications few specific times. Fatima not only maintained those properly but also gave me updates on time. Fatima also took Kulfi to park to play and I can tell she loved Fatima. Will definitely book her again whenever I’ll need.”

“Georgina was very quick to reply and give me an update on my dog who was just rescued and first time to be pet sat. I was comfortable with her care and will use her service again next time.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mayflower Village
Zoe seemed happy during her stay. I appreciated the multiple photos and videos. It made me feel more secure since it was our first time leaving her with this sitter. Our pup is from a shelter and we have no other dogs so it was nice to see her getting to interact with other dogs during her stay.

Michelle was wonderful with Nyra. She was able to get her into a car to take her for a hike, which is not an easy feat. Nyra was very happy after staying with Michelle who was very flexible and understanding about the time I had. I highly recommend her services. She seems to have such a wonderful way with dogs!

Valentina took such great care of my golden doodle! She provided me and my wife with pictures throughout the day which gave us both peace of mind and demonstrated how much she cared both about us and our dog. She was extremely flexible with my schedule and responded to my messages almost immediately when trying to book. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter in the area!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Mayflower Village commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
