About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 5+ years now. I have 5 of my own doggos ranging from ages 2-8! I’ve lived with all of them at some point in time and am comfortable with taking care of more dogs. Currently living with my two 8 year old yorkiepoos I’m shifting to part time and will be available daily and soon will be free all day weekly in June 2024! I’m going to be relaxing until I start grad school. I am comfortable walking, feeding, bathing, and sleeping in the same vicinity as dogs. I have my own fenced backyard and will always be attentive to ensure safe playing

About: For over 21 years, I have cared for dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and needs. In addition to raising and caring for my own dog, I have successfully completed numerous pet and house sitting assignments through a couple of online marketplaces, earning exclusively 5-star reviews and multiple repeat invitations from pet owners. My experience includes caring for puppies, senior pets, anxious pets, multi-pet households, and maintaining consistent routines tailored to each pet’s unique personality and needs. I pride myself on providing a calm, loving, and structured environment that helps pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their families are away. My professional background managing luxury homes, investment properties, and complex operations has made me exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and proactive. I treat every home with the same level of respect, cleanliness, responsibility, and care that I would expect for my own, providing both pets and their families with the highest level of comfort and peace of mind. I recently relocated to Southern California and currently maintain a very flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate a wide variety of pet care needs. I am available during weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and for overnight stays. As I establish my professional pet care business in California, I am prioritizing flexibility, reliability, and building long-term relationships with pets and their families. This allows me to provide attentive care, prompt communication, and customized support based on each household’s specific needs and routines. Safety, consistency, and communication are my highest priorities. I carefully follow each pet’s established routines, feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medications, and behavioral preferences to minimize stress and provide a comfortable experience. Having cared for pets in a wide variety of home environments, I understand the importance of maintaining a clean, organized, and secure environment while respecting each family’s home and privacy. I provide regular updates, photos, videos and prompt communication so pet parents can enjoy complete peace of mind while away. I maintain a calm, organized lifestyle, non-smoker, sober-minded and have extensive experience caring for pets that require additional patience, affection, structure, or attention due to age, anxiety, or personality differences.

“Sheila was great. She was very communicative and my unsocialized kitty was thrilled with her visits, and Sheila got her to come out and interact with her. Pictures, videos, communication was all excellent!! We would definitely recommend her and use her again!!”

“This was our first experience with Rover and we don't regret it! Melanie was great with our cats, Will and Judi. She was easy to work with and very responsive. We loved getting her updates every day. Would definitely work with Melanie again :)”

“Alex is great with my dogs. Both of them looked very happy and had great time with Alex while I am away. Alex is reliable, on time and great with dogs. I definitely will call on her again!”

“Zoey was amazing! It was a lot easier being away from home knowing she was going to drop in and keep my cat’s company. She followed instructions, gave me updates, sent pictures and most importantly made sure my cat got his daily medication. My cats were well looked after with her while I was away from home. I would not hesitate booking with her again! This was my first time using Rover and I could not have asked for a better experience!”

“Sonia was super sweet and accommodating for our last minute request! She was very professional, thorough, and efficient during the meet and greet and subsequent visits to our home. I felt very secure leaving our boy in her care!”

“Hannah was our savior when it came to needing a last minute drop in and she couldn’t have been more perfect. She was super communicative and sent tons of pictures from her time with Arthur. We will definitely be reaching out again in the future!”

“I highly recommend Loretta. She has helped me several times to take care of my two 5-year-old German shepherds. Thanks again Loretta! I appreciate you! I know my fur babies are in very good hands and care with you!”

“Anny was very respectful, responsable, and reliable for each of my cats visits. She came to my house for free the first time so I can show her around and what to do. Always on time. She gave me a super detailed report, with pictures each time she came to my house. I was a little nervous with having a stranger come to my house, but by the end of her visits she befriended my most shy, timid cat. I consider her one of the family now and would definitely ask her to come again to care for my babies. Also! She swept my living room of all the litter.”

About: When it comes to taking care of your loved ones, I strive to give them the same care, attention, and affection that they're used to on a daily basis 😄 Being a graduate student gives me flexibility around my schedule. And with my immense love for dogs, you can rest assured knowing that they're well taken care of and loved while you're away. I have a dog back home as well, whom I miss dearly, so doing Rover gives me the opportunity to have the company of other dogs. Please reach out if interested! I look forward to meeting your dog(s) 🫶🏽 I came to Cali for my studies, which means that I do not have family members nearby and have wide availability. I also don’t have a fixed 9-5 work schedule, which makes my schedule flexible! I live near the City of Hope campus, a very active area, with many pet owners nearby. I will make sure to stay on top of the dog’s needs and provide much attention and love!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Mayflower Village
Jacqueline did an excellent job caring for my cats while I was out of town. Her calm and quiet demeanor was very helpful for the comfort of my cats, and I felt confident in my choice to have her as my cat sitter when the more skittish of my two cats did not run and hide when she first met him. She sent me many wonderful pictures of her drop in visits with them, which included engaging play time, and I could tell day by day they were adjusting well to her presence, even excited for her to arrive. The cats and I are satisfied by the care she provided, and I look forward to connecting with Jacqueline again for future trips.

Jessie was amazing with my cat. She was incredibly gentle, patient, and caring with my cat. Even during the meet and greet, my cat warmed up to her right away with no adjustment period at all. By the end, my cat absolutely adored her. Super grateful for the thoughtful care and attention during the drop-in visits.

Chu Hua was absolutely amazing with my kitties!! She clearly has a ton of experience with cats, and asked great questions when she came beforehand to check everything out and get the run down! She came every day, did what was needed, and played with them! Got so many photos and videos too! Will definitely be using her again in the future!!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mayflower Village. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
