“Lisa and Michael were excellent. I have worked with them before and they always do a wonderful job - I know that my cats and my home are safe in their care - but this time, they went above and beyond the call of duty. I always put a lockbox on my door handle when I travel so that the pet sitter can easily get the keys, but this time, the cover on my box jammed shut as I was putting it on the door handle. I couldn’t even take the box off the handle because the unlatching mechanism is inside the box, which I couldn’t open. I panicked; if Lisa and Michael couldn’t get in, my pets would have a miserable few days. So I went out and bought a SECOND box, then put it on the handle, too. Yes, there were two lockboxes on my door. Lisa and Michael were fabulous, though. Not only did they just roll with the situation, but they figured out how to unjam the first box and save it (I thought that bolt cutters would be involved!). I am beyond grateful for their help and highly recommend that you pick them. You will be so grateful that you did.”

About: Hi, I’m Sara, and I’ve always had a strong passion for animals. I grew up in a family that has always had pets. Right now, I have two dogs and four cats. I went to Eastern Suffolk BOCES for my senior year and took the animal science program there, where I gained a lot more experience and knowledge in looking after cats and dogs, as well as other animals like guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, and more. After BOCES I moved on to the vet sci program ant SUNY Delhi where I learned a lot at a professional level but I ended up coming home because I decided I wanted to change my career path but I still love animals so much and still want to work with them, So I decided to do pet sitting or walking! For pet sitting I can either house sit or I would be able to stop in the morning before work, after work around 2:30-3 and then any other times in the evening! for dog walking I can do as soon as I get out of work or weekends! I would make sure the environment your pet is staying in is safe! clean up any possible hazards, any messes, clean up after they eat. I will also make sure they are staying active by playing or walking and keeping a close eye on them when they are outside or keep them on a leash! I would keep you updated as much as possible with selfies and pictures with your pet. As for walking I will keep a safe distance from others and pay attention strictly to your pet!
“Fantastic care for unusual animals. Amanda was so diligent with the feeding needs of my turtle. She even volunteered a lettuce leaf as a snack. She took great care of the fish without overfeeding and provided medical care for one of them. Then she very kindly agreed to water my plants. Pictures and videos everyday. Lots of communication. I will absolutely use her again and you should too. If she does this well with a turtle, imagine how great you'll be with your cats and dogs.”

About: I grew up in a house with dogs. We always had at least two and sometimes three dogs. We bred corgis and standard poodles and I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages. I also own three cats and take care of an outdoor feral. I'm comfortable medicating dogs, cats, and even reptiles. (I can feed reptiles as well, I'm not worried about bugs :) I currently work from home so I'm free most afternoons and evenings and would love to use some of the spare time I have to take care of dogs and cats. I have experience caring for pets in their home and would be happy to let your dog out in the backyard for playtime or take them on a walk around the block. If you need them crated after, I can do that too.
