“Jeff has been excellent! I have always used family for dog sitting and walking, but was in a bind this weekend and decided to give this a try. Jeff came over a day early to meet myself and Otto and spent some time getting to know us and vice versa. He sent pictures and video of his visits. Otto loved him! I will definitely be using Jeff in the future for sitting and walks!”

“Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of our kitties! I loved all the pics and you get lots of extra credit for keeping everything clean. Definitely will look to rebook when we need to!”

“Sophia is the best! Prompt communication, timely arrival, no confusion. She gave Rizzo the best possible care and made me feel at ease. 10/10, would definitely recommend.”

“Jen and Cameron are just amazing. They take care of our 13 year old pupper and our 14 year old bunnies with such love and kindness. They treat our girls like their own. Thank you, Jen and Cameron, for always going above and beyond. ❤️”

About: Hi, I’m Benjamin! Animals have been part of my life for over 5 years, and caring for them is second nature to me. I grew up surrounded by pets and even worked at a dog kennel in my hometown during my teens, where I learned the ins and outs of handling pups of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or just keeping your furry friend cozy and safe, I bring patience, reliability, and genuine love to every visit. I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet, and I treat every animal like family. From dachshunds (my own weiner dogs!) to big goofy retrievers, I’ve got the experience and the heart to make tails wag and owners feel at ease. Caring for pets is woven into my everyday life. I start my mornings with walks and playtime for my own dachshunds, so adding another furry friend to the mix feels natural. Throughout the day, I build in time for feeding, exercise, and check‑ins — whether that’s a quick cuddle break or a longer adventure outside. Because I’ve owned pets for over 5 years and worked at a dog kennel in my teens, I’m used to balancing schedules and adapting to different temperaments. Pet care isn’t something I squeeze in; it’s part of the rhythm of my day. Your pet’s needs — from meals to belly rubs — fit seamlessly into my routine, ensuring they get consistent attention and love. Got it — focusing only on pet care in clients’ homes makes your profile crystal clear. Here’s a polished draft you can use: --- 🐾 Caring for Pets in Clients’ Homes I feel confident and happy caring for pets in their own homes, where they’re most comfortable. I respect each household’s routines and rules, making sure feeding, walks, playtime, and affection match what your pet is used to. Your pet stays relaxed in familiar surroundings, and you get peace of mind knowing they’re cared for like family.

“Kyle was an excellent choice, to care for our energetic puppy who needed more supervision. He was communicative with us, while away and also interactive with our pup, keeping him busy and safe. I will definitely rebook with Kyle, when needed next.”

About: I have had a dog at home all my life and have been volunteering at animal shelters for the past 4 years where I would walk dogs and socialize cats and dogs. I am a college student and have a completely free schedule over the summer. I can come on same day notice and can stay over night. I can’t offer my home for boarding but I can stay over at your house and am responsible and have lived alone and can clean do laundry and other tasks to keep the home clean for when you return. I can also come over and bring your dog out for walks.
“Amanda was excellent. Extremely responsive, punctual, and and provided us with frequent updates/photos. She took care of our pup while we were away via pop in visits. Everything went well. I’d highly recommend and will definitely be requesting her services in the future.”

“I used Tania yesterday for a drop in visit to let the dogs out and feed them because we were going to be gone a long time. She followed my directions beautifully with never meeting us. I would definitely use her again!!”

“Alicia you’ve made my heart happy with the care you gave to Oliver while we were away. Thank you for all the updates and the above and beyond you did for us. We truly appreciate it. We definitely will be a repeat client”

“Ashley is the most amazing and sweetest sitter. So thankful to meet her because she helped me very timely and with so much grace. Thor loves her so much. We can’t wait to work with her again.”

“Amanda took amazing care of all of my animals. I am so grateful that she treated them as if they were her own. Nothing eased my mind better than knowing this while away in another country. Daily updates & photos were eagerly awaited by my daughter, especially. We highly recommend her for watching your fur babies.”

About: I've always been such a huge animal lover and always took care of my own cats, dogs, guinea pigs and birds. I work full time now but I make my own schedule! I'll be able to be reliable and work around the needs of anyone's babies! In my clients home I always have respect and take care of not only the pets but the home and property when I'm there always.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Manorville. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
