“This was our first booking with Sandy doing drop-in visits for our 2 kittens. Sandy was great. She took good care of the cats & I will definitely book her in the future.”

“Nicole was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my cats while I was away and gave me complete peace of mind. She kept me updated with photos and messages, and it was obvious they were in caring, capable hands. I came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and everything just as I left it. I truly appreciate the attention and love she gave them. I would recommend Nicole to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you again!”

About: I’ve pet sat for my neighbors whenever they’ve gone on long trips, taking care of feeding, walks, and general companionship so their pets feel comfortable and safe while they’re away. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet like my own. I’m currently studying for my CPA exam, so my schedule is very flexible right now. I can study anywhere and take breaks whenever needed, which means I’m able to be flexible with visit times too. Since I care for pets in their own homes, I always follow the owner’s routine and instructions closely regarding feeding schedules, medications, and any specific rules they have. I double-check that doors and gates are locked before and after each visit, keep pets on leash during walks unless told otherwise, and watch closely for any signs of stress or illness. I send photo and text updates so owners always know their pet is safe and comfortable while they’re away!
“Recent travel and an old cat at home required added attention that Elizabeth was able to provide. The reassurance from her correspondence allowed me to feel less guilty knowing the cat was well cared for.”

About: With over four years of experience in house and pet sitting, I’ve learned that great care comes down to consistency, attention, and trust. I focus on maintaining each pet’s normal routine—whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, or just giving them the right kind of attention they’re used to—so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and respectful of your space, and I make it a point to communicate clearly so you always know how things are going. I approach every stay with the mindset that I’m not just watching over things—I’m making sure your home and pets are genuinely cared for. Right now, I'm working from home and occasionally have to do a few hours at a job site. If that happens I am aware of it and able to let you know via text, or a call. A typical day starts by following your pet’s usual routine—morning feedings, fresh water, and a quick check-in to see how they’re doing. For dogs, that usually means getting outside for a walk, some playtime, and a chance to burn off energy. For cats, it’s more about keeping things calm and familiar—maybe some play if they’re interested, or just quiet company. Throughout the day, I keep things consistent, give them attention on their terms, and make sure everything stays clean and comfortable. Evenings wind down with dinner, another walk for dogs, and some relaxed time so they can settle in for the night. I also send regular updates and photos so you can see how they’re doing and feel connected while you’re away—it’s all about keeping things normal, easy, and stress-free for both you and your pet.
“Sadie did an excellent job taking care of my two cats. Would highly recommend her , to anyone who needs great care for their pets, while there away. Thanks for doing a wonderful job!!”

“Very responsible and always on time. Super loving towards my 2 dogs. I love the pictures that she sent for an update on my dogs. Super friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend”

“We were so glad to find Sadie. She took great care of our pets. I'm pretty sure she did more than we asked her to. And a big bonus for us is that our dog is lonely for dog time and her sweet shepherd and our big husky/shephard/malamute hit it off big time. So Rocky got dog play time while we were away, which I'm sure took the sting out of being left home. Luckily, he was delighted to see us. But he sure didn't have than "you neglected me" look we've seen on our return other times. In fact, he's much happier overall since we've returned. We sure can't complain about that. And we'll definitely be calling Sadie again! Thank you Sadie and Charolette!!”

About: I love animals and have a degree in wildlife biology. We had a special needs German shepherd for nine years until her passing several years ago. As a mom of four children who are in school during the day, I have a consistent and flexible daytime schedule that allows me to focus on pet care. I genuinely look forward to spending that time caring for animals—whether that’s going on walks, providing companionship, or making sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their routine. Pet care fits naturally into my day, and I’m able to give dogs and cats my full attention while my kids are at school. I provide reliable drop-in visits to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, helping them stay relaxed in their familiar environment. During each visit, I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes or tidy up any messes, and keep their space clean and comfortable. I also spend quality time with your pets based on their needs—whether that’s playing with energetic dogs, offering gentle companionship to shy cats, or giving calm affection and attention. I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets and making sure each one gets individual care and attention. I pay close attention to their behavior and routine so I can notice anything out of the ordinary and ensure they feel safe and secure while you’re away. I also provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are happy and well cared for.
“Becky is amazing! Not only does she give me comfort and peace of mind on days I have to be away, but Finn loves her! She is kind and loving toward him, and takes care of his needs. She also sends me lots of pictures and feedback after her visits. I highly recommend Becky for all your pet needs.”

About: We have a 9 year old dog named Arlo. He is a bulldog, cattledog, and collie mix. He is very energetic and loves to play but if a dog is laid back.. he will get the message and give space as well. We also have a 2 year old cat at home as well. I have watched all types of dogs from small to very large. Your dog will be well cared for, and well loved. My kids love playing with dogs as well, so you know he/she will get plenty of play time! I am very flexible and can work within your schedule. I am also home a lot so he/she will rarely be alone. Can provide a discount if paid in cash Home most of the day. Really flexible most of the time but more available for last minute drop ins during the week oppose to weekend. I am home most if not all day so the dog will never be alone for long periods of time. I try to follow the same routine the dog is used to at home and ask for owners to bring their comfort items if they have any.
“Taylor was gracious enough to accept a last minute assignment having never being to my house to meet the dogs. Upon arrival she found my one dog abt aggressive at the door. She called me and suggested asking a neighbor knee the dogs to help her the first time and that was the ticket. I loved her assertive nature. Took care of my pups and communicated every time. Would highly recommend Taylor in the future”

“Sarah made us feel at ease and like our cats were in good hands immediately. She was very communicative and took plenty of pictures. She even made sure they got to go outside in their catio on every visit. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone and I’ll be hoping she’s available next time I need a pet sitter.”

About: I grew up in a family that loved animals and I've had pets my entire life. I know how hard it is to work long hours or be away from home without them. I have spent the last 18 years working with dogs and cats. I have managed a doggie daycare and boarding facility and worked for a humane society as a community outreach manager and volunteer coordinator. Besides loving on all the pets, I spent my time there teaching animal safety to children and providing basic animal care and dog handling lessons to volunteers. I have fostered puppies and helped feed and care for cats and dogs awaiting adoption. I am pet CPR and first aid certified. I helped socialize shelter dogs by taking them out for walks, car rides, pup cups and patio time at Starbucks. I have always been the friend you call when you need a pet sitter or help with something pet related. I have two dogs and two cats of my own and they bring so much joy to my life! I love being in the company of pets and would love to spend time with yours. I work full-time Monday - Friday and have a hybrid work schedule. I work from home two days per week which gives me more flexibility to care for your pets. I am available before and after work and mid-day during the week and have more availability on the weekends. I have a lot of experience caring for my own pets, foster dogs, and pet sitting for family and friends. My own dogs do best with having a daily routine, so I tend to keep the same schedule for feeding, medication, walks and bedtime. I will do the same for your pets. My goal is to always make sure people feel good about leaving their pets in my care.
“Sydney took great care of our kitties while we were away! Our cats can be particular with their people, so it was great to hear the updates and see the photos of our cats and Sydney getting along. They were absolutely well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Abigail was AMAZING!!! I was so worried to leaving my kitties to go to family thanksgiving but I felt so much better after she visited for the first time. After a few visits, she’s basically my kitties new bestie! I would totally love for her to cat sit next time we leave town!”

“This is our third time booking Michael to care for our two cats while we were gone for 8 days. As always, Michael took excellent care of our babies, making sure to send us lots of pictures and updates each day! We are so glad we found Michael as we know our kitties are in good hands while we are away!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Marysville
We were able to book Sandy on short notice, to check in our cat while we were gone for three days. We told her not to be alarmed, if she did not see him, because he disappears when there are strangers in the house. Because there was no cat to be seen, Sandy sent us pictures of his empty food dishes. :-) When we arrived home our cat greeted us. Having Sandy was a good experience. We would not hesitate to use her services again. Thank You Sandy...
Samantha is wonderful! This is the 2nd time she's taken care of my babies. She gives my kitties lots of attention and they love her! Always gives awesome updates with photos. 3 of my cats are given daily meds and there are special diets involved. Everything is always done correctly and its such a relief to be able to enjoy a vacation and not have to worry about my cats care. I know they are in great hands with Sam!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
