“Kayleigh is extremely attentive to my little DIVA! She sent great photos of my little cherub and let ne know the details of her visit , which makes all the difference in the world!”
“Our puppy LOVES Kelsey. He is noticeably so happy after their walks - zoomies and all! Kelsey has great communication skills. She provides personalized and thoughtful comments about each walk. I can tell she genuinely loves animals. Kelsey is sunshine! Warm, loving, and fun. Highly recommend.”

“This was our first time ever using a dog walking service for our 10yo mixed pit. Fallon was very reliable, sent us pictures and updates with every walk. Our dog, Koda was so happy when we got home from our vacation because of her twice daily walks with Fallon! I highly recommend Fallon to take care of your dog, Koda has a new best friend 🥰”

“Brijana is an excellent pet care taker. She's very loving and detail oriented. It's clear she has a passion for animals and their well-being. My dog, Dollie, loves her!”
“Ava is so great with Poppie! My dog is shy at first, and Ava did an amazing job at making Poppie feel comfortable before their first walk. Every week Ava updates me when she arrives and after her walk is done. She is so responsive and flexible with my schedule each week. Highly recommend Ava!”

About: I taken care of pets since my youth, volunteered at animal shelters, participated in dog training programs and been a foster home for cats. I can administer medications in stress free methods, but am not qualified with injections. I am retired and am generally available on both weekdays and weekends with early or late hours possible. I will not schedule any visits without at least an extra hour between any other obligations. I believe that routine is especially important when pet parents are away. This includes keeping their environment clean and safe, verifying pet locations and securing possible entrances before activating any alarms and leaving.
“Gabrielle is amazing - took wonderful care of our dog while we were away for a weekend and clearly puts a lot of extra care, expertise, and effort into her work with animals in general. She responds very promptly to inquiries and communicates regularly while caring for our dog (including lots of pictures and videos which is so appreciated). Can’t say enough positive things about our experience with her other than we’ve already booked her for another week when we need assistance with our dog and hope to use her services with our dog regularly! :)”

About: As a first-grade teacher with years of experience caring for children, providing a safe, nurturing, and dependable environment comes naturally to me. I bring that same level of patience, attention, and care to every pet I look after. I have been the go to pet sitter for neighbors, friends, and family since I was in middle school! With two big dogs and three cats of my own, whether your pet loves playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply sticking to their routine, I’ll treat them like one of my own while you’re away. 🐾 I am a teacher who works until 4:00 during the week! Monday-Friday I am available any time after 4:00! Saturdays and Sundays I am available anytime!! I can easily walk your dogs safely and crate them if needed! I can play with your pets securely in a backyard! I can also feed your pets when needed!
“Jessica has been great with my puppy. She does a little training with him and I can see the improvements. Most importantly, Jessica is thorough and reliable. She communicates clearly and goes the extra mile. Plan to use her again.”

“Great job. And took pics to show how Dempsey was doing which is very reassuring. The only reason I rate a 4 is because the last walk I requested at 4pm and she was 40min late. Not a huge deal but I had to check in to make sure she was going”

“Melissa was great with our pup, made sure she got everything she needed during the visit, and left making sure she was cozy in her bed. We will be booking with her again 😊”

“If you are looking for an experienced, considerate, and dedicated dog walker/sitter, then you've found your match! Gregory has provided dog walks and overnight care for our 60lb hound mix multiple times over the last few months and we couldn't be happier with the care he provides. He is incredibly communicative, provides very detailed updates after every walk (with plenty of pictures included), and has shown the utmost dedication to understanding our dog Izzy and her specific behavioral needs. We have worked with many positive reinforcement trainers in the past to address our pups over-excitability and leash reactivity and Gregory using much of the same language as these dog trainers when discussing strategies he used on his walks with Izzy to help redirect and keep her focused and safe. Our pup is very scent driven on walks which can require a lot of patience and steady redirection, and we are so grateful for how kind and gentle Gregory is when handling Izzy. We've only had one overnight experience with Gregory so far and he took great care of our home and left the house spotless! He also ensured us that he only books one overnight stay at a time to avoid any conflicts in schedule and make sure our dog has company throughout the night and to keep her safe in the event of an emergency. All that being said, you will have no regrets choosing with work with Gregory and we feel very fortunate to have found him!”

“Amy came over earlier in the week to meet Ornn and I. Ornn quickly warmed up to her so I knolew it was going to be a good fit. She was prompt to pick Ornn up for his walks, and her notes let me know exactly what he was up to. I also loved getting the pictures to know he enjoyed his walk and then when he was back home and comfy.”

“Debbie is remarkable! Her love for my pup Charlie is a constant, and it shows in every interaction they have. Charlie absolutely adores her and gets so excited whenever she arrives. Debbie is dependable, caring, and always goes above and beyond to make sure Charlie is happy, safe, and well cared for. She gives me complete peace of mind knowing he's in such loving and capable hands. I couldn't ask for a better dog walker, and I wholeheartedly recommend Debbie to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like family.”

“This was my first time using Rover, Alex has been super helpful when we needed a dog walker the most with a new baby on the way. My rescue coonhound Eddie can be a bit much at times but she made him feel really comfortable. Alex is friendly, reliable, and professional I would recommend her to anyone needing a dog walker or sitter”

About: I’ve owned two dogs of my own (1 currently - Ellie!) and I regularly dog sit two other dogs owned by a friend. I love dogs and understand their behavior very well. As a dog owner myself, I understand the peace of mind that comes with leaving your dog with someone reliable and trustworthy. I have a full time job Monday through Friday but am generally available on weekends and occasional weeknights. I’m also more flexible on Fridays. I’m comfortable with caring for dogs of all sizes. I would love to help provide potty breaks and walks and playing! For boarding, I have a roughly 30x30ft fenced yard and one 40lb friendly dog of my own.

We had a great experience with Scott! He arrived right on time, was friendly and respectful of our home, and took our dog on nice long walks. She kept us updated on every walk and made sure that our dog Toffee, who is extremely high energy & rambunctious got the exercise that she needed. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
