“Heather did a great job taking care of our cats. She also took good care of us, by keeping us informed and posting pictures every day 🙂. She didn't just feed them and clean up after them, she also tried to bond with them. We highly recommend Heather if you need someone to take care of your cats!”

“Kim has taken such excellent care of our wild maniac of a puppy! She makes sure he gets tons of love and snuggles whether we are away for the day at work or for a few days on a trip. She has also taken great care of our two cats and our house while we were away. Kim goes out of her way to do the little things like bringing in the mail daily. She is wonderful!”

“Hailey was super helpful to our family and pup when an emergency required me to be out of state for an extended time. She was patient and sweet with our senior dog, making sure she had her evening meal, meds, and potty break. By the end my normally reserved dog was happy to see her! I highly recommend Hailey for your pet care needs. Thanks again!”

“Bree is always so sweet and caring with my pups and very thorough with her care! I always feel safe leaving my pups in Bree’s care and they always enjoy hanging out with her!”

“Gabrielle did an incredible job with our difficult cat. She is so empathetic and has a deep understanding of cat behavior. She is detail oriented and made sure our cat had everything she needed. Gabrielle didn’t give up when our cat presented several challenges. We would definitely work with her again. Thanks so much!”

“Alex did a great job taking care of our Miley while we were away. Went the extra mile and gave her newly prescribed meds as needed and even took our mail/packages in the house. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again!”

“Alicia took great care of our cats and dog while we were away! We returned to well cared for pets, clean litter, and pup who enjoyed her walks and time to run outside. We will have her back in the future!”

About: I adopted two cats of my own in 2019 and have also been cat sitting for over two years. It’s hard to put into words how much I love animals, but caring for them has always been a big part of my life. 🤍 I regularly feed and care for stray cats in my community, and I’ve helped three adult strays find loving forever homes. Whenever I come across a cat or dog in need, I always try to help however I can. 🐾While I'm a cat person at heart, I'm equally passionate about dogs. I gained experience walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments through dog sitting and volunteer. This experience taught me how to read canine body language, handle various behavioral needs, and provide affectionate care. I enjoy walking, cuddling, and spending quality time with dogs to ensure they feel safe, happy, and loved! 🤍I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I’ll treat your fur babies just like my own and make sure they are well-fed, cared for, and given plenty of love and attention while they’re with me! :) I’m currently a student and work part-time as a registered nurse, which gives me a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I’m happy to accommodate different schedules and your pet’s specific routine whenever possible. I understand that every pet has their own needs, so I’ll always do my best to work with you and your fur baby! :) I always make sure every pet feels safe and comfortable in their own environment. I follow their usual feeding, walking, litter, play, and potty routines as closely as possible, and I pay close attention to their behavior and body language. I understand that every cat and dog has a different personality, so I respect their boundaries and never force interaction, especially with shy or anxious pets. I’m also careful about keeping doors, windows, leashes, and their surroundings secure. Most importantly, I’ll give them plenty of love and attention while you’re away. I’m also happy to send photos and videos so you can see how your fur baby is doing❤️
About: I’ve had pets 3 dogs and 1 cat over the last 20 years. I have dealt with all personalities. I am also comfortable giving medication if needed. I’m currently working part time and my hour are pretty flexible to work with your schedule. I can walk you dog or spend time with your pet as needed. I can stop by to let your pet out, spend time with them, walk them and feed them if needed while you can not be there.
“Amy was absolutely amazing! Made me feel completely at ease to leave my 13 year old Maltipoo in her hands. She also had me fill out paperwork for more detail on Stella which was amazing that I didn’t have to think to leave instructions! We will be using Amy again for Stella for sure!”

“David did a phenomenal job in taking great care of our cats while we our away. He ensured that he got all the details needed to take care of our cats and provided us with all the latest photos and updates. This gave us so much peace of mind. Our cats felt so happy and comfortable with him.”

About: Caring for someone’s pet also means respecting their home and their trust — something I take very seriously. I’m dependable, attentive, and calm, and I make it a priority to ensure both pets and owners feel completely comfortable while I’m in their care. I’ve spent years caring for and working hands-on with dogs of different breeds, energy levels, and personalities, and I’m confident handling everything from daily routines to reinforcing good behavior. I’m patient, consistent, and always focused on safety, structure, and positive interactions. Whether I’m stopping in for a walk, providing overnight care, or house sitting, I follow instructions closely and keep pets on their regular schedule so they feel secure and stress-free. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own — and I’m always happy to provide updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I currently work a remote part-time job, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time, attention, and flexibility to pet care. I’m available essentially every weekdays and fully available on weekends for boarding, walks, drop-ins, and quality one-on-one time with your pets. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor play, a clean and calm home environment, and experience supervising multiple dogs. I closely follow feeding, medication, and routine instructions, provide constant supervision, and can crate pets if needed to match their home routine.
About: Hello! I have over 13 years of experience caring for dogs and 16 years for cats. I love taking care of them overall but especially playing and walking the pups. I’m also experienced with basic dog training and potty training for puppies and also giving older dogs and cats medication. We have been fostering dogs for about a year and a half and it has been very rewarding for our family. I have a pretty flexible schedule during the weekdays so I am able to set up walks and check ins easily for dogs and cats. I am able to travel to your house and either do a walk with your dog or I can stay and play with him or her for a while and also do a walk. Whatever is needed!
About: I’ve taken care of many different kinds of dogs, mainly small to medium because I had small dogs until recently. I sometimes Foster for a few rescues as well. I crate train them and help get them ready for adoption. I also have experience with puppies to Senior 🐶❤️ I work from home and able to board on weekends and possibly during the weeks as well. My 2 little dogs are laid back and sleep most of the day. I have a fenced in yard and have a playpen as well if needed. I work from home 8-5 and can keep an eye on my furry friends during the day and available after 5pm and weekends

Once again, Sarah didn't flinch at the unexpected while caring for our cats! In the past, she's had to manage a downed tree blocking our front door and adapt to home visits in a home she hadn't seen beforehand after we moved. This time, I had a large (9 x 13') rug delivered while we were away despite my multiple efforts to reschedule. She was on a tight schedule but was undeterred by this giant (and freaking heavy) rug sitting on our front sidewalk. She hauled that monster inside and still found time to take the cutest pictures!

Shannon was a wonderful cat sitter! She was reliable, attentive, and diligent in caring for my cat. She was great at communicating and kept me updated while I was away, which gave me great peace of mind. Most importantly, she took excellent care of my cat and made sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout my vacation. I would definitely recommend Shannon to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter!

Superlative in every area. Anthony showed up to the meet and greet aware of every detail I had provided and was proactive in confirming every item with me. His updates were not only thorough but what i saw in the great pictures ge attached truly made me feel like my cat was on vacation too. My cat clearly liked Anthony, he took great care to play with him and keep his food and litter clean. He went above and beyond in helping me when something came up with my own planning and I truly appreciate him. As happy as my cat was to see me upon return, he was still waiting by the stairs for Anthony around lunchtime to play with his new friend. Ive gone from feeling guilty when away from my attached cat to being confident my cat will be safe and even having fun too. Excellent service, I 100% recommend you book with Anthony.

Julia was our first ever cat sitter and she did a fantastic job with Reyna! Reyna can be a little selective about people, but Julia was patient, attentive, and quick to earn her trust. She was punctual, kept us updated with photos and notes, and we always felt confident Reyna was in great hands. Coming home after several days away to a happy, relaxed cat says everything. We’d gladly book Julia again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependent and caring pet sitter!!

This was our second time using Kimberly, and once again she was exceptional. She took great care of both of our dogs and paid close attention to every detail, even cycling through a few loads of our dog’s pee-pad laundry without being asked. It’s clear she takes her responsibilities seriously and consistently goes above and beyond. We trust her completely, truly appreciate her care, and will absolutely continue to recommend her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
