Alicia is a diligent and professional Pet Caregiver. She walked my dog every morning while I was traveling out of the country for 20 days. She was always punctual and kept me informed each day about how much she and Toffee had walked along with pictures! She sent me constant reminders on other matters related to my pet! I highly recommend her services!

About: I’ve owned two dogs of my own (1 currently - Ellie!) and I regularly dog sit two other dogs owned by a friend. I love dogs and understand their behavior very well. As a dog owner myself, I understand the peace of mind that comes with leaving your dog with someone reliable and trustworthy. I have a full time job Monday through Friday but am generally available on weekends and occasional weeknights. I’m also more flexible on Fridays. I’m comfortable with caring for dogs of all sizes. I would love to help provide potty breaks and walks and playing! For boarding, I have a roughly 30x30ft fenced yard and one 40lb friendly dog of my own.

Amy came over earlier in the week to meet Ornn and I. Ornn quickly warmed up to her so I knolew it was going to be a good fit. She was prompt to pick Ornn up for his walks, and her notes let me know exactly what he was up to. I also loved getting the pictures to know he enjoyed his walk and then when he was back home and comfy.

Emilyann seems to be taking very good care of my boy, Jake. She arrives on time and lets me know when she gets there and how he is responding to her. He seems to like her very much! At this time I do not need regular visits; however, I shall definitely call her again as soon as I need a dog walker/sitter again.

About: I’ve been caring for pets for about 5 years and have experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities. I’ve helped family, friends, and neighbors with walking, feeding, playtime, and making sure their pets feel comfortable while they’re away. I’m responsible, dependable, and understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care while keeping you updated so you can have peace of mind. I’m currently a student, which gives me a flexible schedule to help care for your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week and on weekends. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I’m happy to work with you to make sure they stay comfortable, active, and well cared for while you’re away. I know pets are part of the family, and I take their safety and well-being seriously. I always follow the owner’s instructions, keep pets secure on walks, and make sure they have plenty of attention, exercise, and care. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or stopping by for visits, I’ll treat them like they’re my own and keep you updated so you can have peace of mind.

About: With 25 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, I understand that every pet is unique. I’ve long supported local rescue organizations through fostering, and by welcoming rescue animals into my own home. I look forward to treating your pet like family, and growing to love them as my own! I am a stay at home father of 2 young boys who have now gone off to daily school daily. I seek to use my availability to care for animals in need of attention and extra love. Caring for animals is already part of my everyday life, so adding client pets fits seamlessly into my routine. I structure my day to provide dependable visits, regular walks, and quality one-on-one time to ensure each pet feels safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I follow detailed instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), and enrichment, while providing calm, attentive companionship. I respect each home as if it were my own and provide regular updates so owners have complete peace of mind.

About: 🐾 🐾 Rates 🐾 🐾 I am happy to travel but may need to add a mileage fee for bookings outside of my 15 minute radius. All rates are negotiable. *Boarding: I only host 1 family's pets at a time. This provides a safer environment for your pet and an "at home" feel with plenty of attention, especially for reactive or aging dogs. I don't use crates or kennels but if you want to bring yours along that is fine, I also have 1 medium sized crate on hand if needed. I have a very clean home and welcome pets to feel comfortable if they would like to snooze on the sofas, bed, and we have a secure fenced in yard, but I do not leave dogs unattended in the yard. I usually take my dog to the local dog parks and nature trails and would bring yours along too. 🐾 🐾 Basic Info 🐾 🐾 I am an EMT, certified in Pet CPR + First Aid. For the past 25 years, I have been an animal caretaker. My favorite part is getting to know all of the different breeds and personalities. Your pets will be treated with love, and be as comfortable in my home as yours. I always send lots of photos at the end of each day. 🐾 🐾 My daily schedule 🐾 🐾 I work from home as a university professor. My position is remote, so I am able to work anywhere with a wifi connection. I work for rover occasionally and my schedule is typically super organized and flexible. We do at least 2 active hours per day- and we try to squeeze in as many hikes as possible. If they are up for it, I will take them on a short jog every day too.

About: Hi! I’m a part time nursing student at Neumann University living in Medford. I have two dogs of my own, a 70 pound Dalmatian and a 25 pound rescue mix, so I am comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I have over five years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I also helped at my Dalmatian’s training facility when he was a puppy, where I learned positive reinforcement techniques and gained experience working with dogs of all ages. I am comfortable giving oral medications, walking dogs that pull, and following your pet’s routine. I understand that pets are family, and I will care for yours with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I am currently a part time nursing student at Neumann University, which gives me a flexible schedule for pet care. Caring for my own two dogs is already part of my daily routine, so I am available for walks, drop in visits, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company while you are away. I will always do my best to work around your schedule and keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. I provide care in your home so your pet can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. Before each visit, I like to learn your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medications, and any special instructions so I can provide the best care possible. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, including dogs that pull on walks, and I can give oral medications if needed. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you are away.

  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
