“Alicia is always very reliable in her walking schedule with Toffee. She communicates with me on every walk and lets me know of any issues. I highly recommend her dog walking services and will rebook with her whenever I am out of town. She is great with dogs and cats!!🙏👌”

“Heather is wonderful! She took great care of our dog Georgia when we were out of town. Heather was prompt and shared lots of photos. I knew Georgia was in great hands which was very reassuring.”

“Briana is really sweet and a great help with my mischievous doggy. She definitely took her time when getting to know Esme and let her properly warm up. She also answers back very fast and is flexible. Esmé and I are lucky to have found her.”

About: I’ve owned two dogs of my own (1 currently - Ellie!) and I regularly dog sit two other dogs owned by a friend. I love dogs and understand their behavior very well. As a dog owner myself, I understand the peace of mind that comes with leaving your dog with someone reliable and trustworthy. I have a full time job Monday through Friday but am generally available on weekends and occasional weeknights. I’m also more flexible on Fridays. I’m comfortable with caring for dogs of all sizes. I would love to help provide potty breaks and walks and playing! For boarding, I have a roughly 30x30ft fenced yard and one 40lb friendly dog of my own.
“Reese done a excellent job with my boy Kane ,was on time with every walk, thk again for your help and I highly recommend her services if needed I will definitely use her again”

“Amy came over earlier in the week to meet Ornn and I. Ornn quickly warmed up to her so I knolew it was going to be a good fit. She was prompt to pick Ornn up for his walks, and her notes let me know exactly what he was up to. I also loved getting the pictures to know he enjoyed his walk and then when he was back home and comfy.”

About: When my family adopted our first dog, Jennie, a German Shepard mix, I had made it a priority to walk her almost everyday and play with her so she was never bored. I also helped train her when she was a puppy, teaching her how to sit and how to give her paw. I also took care of her when she became older, helping her down stairs and cooking her healthy treats like salmon and chicken. My family has since had two different foster dogs (American bully and Pitbull) that I love to spend time and go on walks with. I’m currently home from college for the summer, so I have plenty of time on my hands and would love to spend it with your pets! I will always keep a vigilant eye on your pet and do my best to make them as happy as possible. I spend a lot of time outside in my fenced yard with my dog, so I will be sure to give your dog the same amount of attention.
“Krista was so great with Frankie! It was our first time using Rover and we have used her 3 times already. Our pup has a lot of energy and loves going for her walks and she looks so happy in the pictures we get. Would highly recommend.”

“Kayleigh is extremely attentive to my little DIVA! She sent great photos of my little cherub and let ne know the details of her visit , which makes all the difference in the world!”

I am looking to do pet sitting full time so I have as much time for your pets as I can! I make sure the pets are comfortable and happy. Just write down what your pet needs and I will make sure to follow their schedule.

About: I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big deal. I feel the same when it comes to my own pets. My goal is to provide safe, reliable, loving care so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. Whether your dog loves long walks, leisurely sniff sessions, or just a friendly companion, I’m happy to match their pace and personality. I am currently a stay at home mom with teenagers so I have a fairly open schedule. On hot days I try to get walks in as early as possible for the comfort of the dog. Each pet will get love before and after walks with treats if allowed. I always follow pet owner instructions and do not deviate. I can also give meds as instructed. Please let me know if you have a special needs dog or different situation. I can accommodate almost anything. Please let me know.
About: Need someone responsible, caring, and experienced who will treat your pet like family? You've found the right person! ♥️ 🐾 I work remotely from home, which means I have plenty of availability and flexibility to care for your furry friend. I have a passion for working with small dogs (40 pounds and under) and understand how important it is to provide them with loving, attentive care. I’m also happy to send photos and updates to help reassure you that your pet is being cared for with the highest level of quality and compassion. I hope to have the opportunity to care for your precious fur baby or babies while you're away! Since graduating from graduate school, I work remotely from my own home. However, I have summers off and enjoy spending time with dogs. I will be available whenever you need me. You can count on it! I communicate with my clients ahead of time that way I understand exactly how they would like their pet taken care of why they are away.

About: Pet owner, pet lover! I have been sitting for friends and family since I was a teen. I also grew up around large dogs. I adopted a staffy mix in 2014 and we had 9 great years together before she passed. I’m not ready to adopt again, so until then, I’d like to help others. I’ve also had a few cats in the past and currently have 2! They are both tolerant of dogs and if they are uncomfortable, they will typically leave the room. My friends will bring their dogs when they visit me and my cats do well. I don’t have a yard per se but there is a lot of open space for frequent walks/potty breaks. My apartment complex is very pet-friendly. I am on the 2nd floor, so there are 2 sets of steps that may make it hard for older dogs. I often do overnights and stay with pets in their own home to maximize their comfort and keep their routines intact. I’m flexible based on your individual needs. One of my interests is in animal behavior. I have read many books (my favorites are from Patricia B. McConnell) My philosophy is we are training everyday. Consistency is important to me and for them, so I will ask many questions during the meet and greet stage to understand their needs and know how to best support you both. I look forward to meeting you both! My schedule is determined by the pets in my care and their schedules. I am currently freelance with WFH tasks and gig work and schedule my other jobs around my pet care calendar. I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex with lots of open space to walk. With me, your pup will have 24/7 one-on-one attention. They are allowed on the furniture and will always be supervised. I also have room to set up a crate if they are crate-trained but most of the time they will play and hangout where I am. I have 2 cats that do well with dogs. The cat food is raised off the floor and litter boxes are located in the main living space and are scooped immediately.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
