About: I have had pets from a young age, including dogs, cats, fish and hamsters. I am currently the owner of two beautiful mixes named Luna and Lys! In addition to my own pets I have cared for friend’s and family’s dogs and cats numerous times. I know how special animals can be and look forward to caring for your special family members! Profile picture is myself and my girl Luna! I am an elementary special education teacher who is looking to make a little extra money on my summer break. I am typically available at most times in the morning and evening Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Though I do tutor some mornings from 10-11AM. Wednesdays I am available before 2 PM and after 3:30 PM. I am unavailable July 13-August 2 due to a trip. I can provide whatever length of walks is typical for your pet and can accommodate additional routines that are typical in your household. I am unable to bring pets into my home due to my own dogs.

Davene is a wonderful cat sitter! She just took care of my three kitties over Thanksgiving. I appreciated how quick she was to respond to my request and her offer of an initial visit to meet the cats and get our instructions in person. She was very gentle and sweet with the kitties, and I could tell that they really liked her. Davene followed all instructions and left the place neat and clean. I highly recommend her and look forward to booking with her again.

About: Experienced working with a variety of animals- dogs, cats, chickens, goats, aquatic pets (turtles, frogs, fish, etc.), and reptiles. Experience as a vet assistant provides strong foundation in caring for medically complex and senior pets, comfortable administering medications. While on break from school until May 2026, I have gaps in my schedule that will allow me to frequently check in on your pets throughout the day. Currently care for my two pups and bearded dragon at home. I enjoy pet care as it helps to provide a purposeful break from school. Caring for animals feels like second nature with my schedule, and I’m able to seamlessly provide for your pets while maintaining my school schedule without any lapse in care. I provide a close eye on the animals that I care for, and due to my experience as a veterinary assistant I am able to recognize potential medical needs of your animal companions. I’m comfortable walking pets, supervising them in a fenced in yard, or any other method that your pet uses to go outside! While in your home, I maintain close proximity to your pets, and engage them in enriching activities during my time with them.

About: I grew up on a farm with many types of animals and learned to care for all different disciplines, breeds, and needs of dogs- no breed discrimination here! I took training classes and have trained 7 dogs to be more obedient on walks and have experience in basic commands. All products I use in my house are pet-friendly and organic, and I keep them all locked in cabinets. I am very flexible when it comes to your pet's needs- whether they prefer to stay inside most of the day or they are super active and want to play all day, I will adjust my schedule to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away! If you let me know your fur babies’ schedule, rules, and what they love, and I will make sure you can have a worry-free trip! Pets are my #1 focus during a stay. I am consistently monitoring and engaging to ensure a comfortable and relaxed stay. I also will take tons of photos and send them all your way! I am currently working part time, and I will disclose my work schedule if it overlaps with a stay. My workday is flexible and allows for many free hours in the day! I ensure I am with the pets as much as possible while in my home, or in yours! If the stay is overnight, I follow any house rules and make sure the pets are all comfortable.

About: As a pet owner, my love for caring for animals runs deep. Lauren was consistent with our twice a day drop-ins even after getting a huge amount of snow on day 2 of checking in on my 2 kitties! She took time to make sure their litter was clean, they were fed, and played with them. The report card photos were a treat we looked forward to after every visit! Will definitely book her again in the future.

About: Hi! I’m Krystal, a dependable and compassionate pet lover who has been around dogs my entire life and a proud dog owner throughout my adult years. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of who I am, and I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m also a special education teacher and a mom of two, which has shaped me into someone who is patient, attentive, and highly responsible. My background has strengthened my ability to understand different needs, follow routines closely, and provide calm, consistent care—qualities that translate perfectly to working with pets of all personalities. Since I’m off during the summer, I have increased availability and flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care during the day—perfect for pets who need extra time, supervision, or companionship. I understand how important communication is when someone else is caring for your pet. I make it a priority to keep you updated with messages and photos so you always feel connected and reassured while you’re away. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, or just some extra love and attention, I’m here to provide safe, reliable, and caring support. I’d love to meet you and your pet! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a special education teacher, I’m very used to following structured schedules, being attentive to individual needs, and staying consistent—qualities I bring into caring for pets as well. During the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, and extended time with pets who may need extra attention or companionship. During the school year, I’m available in the mornings, evenings, and weekends, and I make sure to plan my schedule carefully so every pet receives dependable, consistent care. As a dog owner myself, daily walks, feeding routines, and quality time with pets are already a regular part of my life, so incorporating additional pet care is something I truly enjoy and prioritize. When caring for pets, I always focus on keeping them comfortable by sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any specific preferences you share. I make sure pets feel safe in their familiar environment while also giving them plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. As a special education teacher, I’m naturally patient, attentive, and responsive to individual needs, which helps me adjust my care based on each pet’s personality—whether they’re energetic, shy, or need a little extra support. I also prioritize communication and will send regular updates and photos so you always feel confident your pet is being well cared for.

About: Hey there! Are you looking for a trustworthy and reliable person to help care for your beloved companion(s)? (Of course you are, thats why we're here!) My current work leaves me with some time I love to fill with animals. I'm a remote worker central to Medford Village, which means I'm often available for last minute services. I grew up on a farm with lots of animals and know more than the average bear about dog behavior. I can recognize when a canine is uncomfortable and needs extra patience or anxious and needs an outlet. I have 3 years experience teaching basic obediance on top of that. If you need a consistent walker, I can teach your dog basic walking etiquette during our walks too. I have my own dog who is extremly friendly and availiable for visits, if you would like a playmate for your pup. He's a jobial, 30lb Beagle/lab mix and up to date on all shots. No extra charge, just let me know you'd like to meet Chester too! We used to work with rescued fighting pitbulls and Chester was the dog used for socalizing. Hes very non-reactive and perfect for socalizing puppies or reactive dogs. I look to provide a simulating experience for your pet and a transparent one for you. I send lots of pics and communicate often. I look forward to connecting to see if were a good fit. I am a remote worker with a fluctuating schedule. I am able to provide last minute and consistent services to my neighbors close by M-F, weekends vary. When in your home, I always make sure everything is locked up before I leave and let you know if I see something out of sorts. When in my home, I have a bonus room set up for dogs, as well as a gated patio they can enjoy.

About: I’ve been working with animals since I was 12 years old and I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs; small, big, aggressive, young, old and sick. I’m very patient and trained to administer medications. Animals (especially dogs) are my passion. I will keep your dog(s) happy and safe, even if that means late nights, early mornings, running or getting a little dirty. Previously I worked at a boarding/grooming facility but I’m so excited to go back to independent walking and sitting. I do my best to keep my availability open and flexible. I’m very quick to pick up dogs emotions and personalities and do my best to cater to their individual needs. Overall, I always try to go above and beyond when it comes to all animals! You’re not just hiring a sitter or walker, you’re hiring a companion for your lil companion. My schedule is very flexible. I accept sittings, long or short, walks/drop ins, reoccurring or individual. About: I've watched cats for family and friends, walked and fed my own crazy big golden retrievers, and cleaned countless poopy backyards. Looking forward to all this and more! I am a student so the early and late summer is quite open for me. I am working at a summer camp from June 22nd until August 14th and so availability then is limited to evenings and weekends. I will ensure that pet is in a safe and loving environment. Tending to their needs but also engaging them in play, pets, and even conversation. Each animal is unique and deserves unique care.

About: I am a Mechanical Engineering student with an Art minor, but my true passion has always been animals. I believe pets deserve the same love, respect, and care as people, and I take that responsibility seriously. I currently care for five of my own pets, including three dogs of different sizes, a cat, and two guinea pigs. I’ve also owned cats in the past, so I have long-term, hands-on experience with both cats and dogs across different life stages and personalities. I have frequently been responsible for their full care independently, including feeding, walking, enrichment, and monitoring health and behavior. One of my dogs has severe anxiety and a pollen allergy, which has given me experience caring for animals with special needs, including close attention to symptoms, environmental triggers, and comfort management. I’m confident in recognizing signs of illness or distress and knowing when to seek veterinary attention. I also gained hands-on experience assisting with my mother’s dog walking business, TheDogWalkerMichele, where I helped care for both dogs and cats. In addition, I have accompanied my girlfriend on multiple pet sitting and dog walking jobs, assisting with feeding, walking, playtime, and general care for dogs, cats, and kittens. I’m especially experienced with anxious or shy animals and have a calm, patient approach that helps pets build trust and feel safe. I’m also confident in basic behavior management and ensuring pets stay both safe and well-behaved during care. As an engineering student, I bring a detail-oriented and responsible mindset to pet care, making sure each animal is cared for thoughtfully, efficiently, and lovingly. During the summer, I work part-time at Rowan University’s Admissions Office for approximately 20-25 hours per week. My shifts are flexible and scheduled between 8 AM and 4 PM, which allows me to plan my pet care availability around my work schedule. I am generally available early mornings, late afternoons, evenings, and overnight stays. I am also open to house sitting during the week, as long as I am able to step out for my scheduled work shifts during the day. I will always communicate my schedule clearly in advance to ensure pets are properly cared for and never left without attention during appropriate times. Outside of my work hours, I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to walking, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and respectful environment for every pet in my care. In a client’s home, I treat the space with the same respect I would my own: following all instructions closely, keeping things clean and organized, and ensuring pets remain comfortable in their familiar environment. My focus is always on the pet’s well-being and routine. I make sure they are fed on schedule, given fresh water, exercised appropriately, and provided with plenty of attention, comfort, and supervision. I am attentive to behavior changes and always prioritize safety, especially for anxious pets or those with special needs. I also understand how important trust is when caring for someone’s pet and home, so I communicate clearly, follow directions carefully, and make sure everything is handled responsibly and consistently.

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Medford

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 8,419 sitters on Rover offering Dog Sitting across Medford. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Medford stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Medford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Medford with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Medford. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
