About: My family and I have had dogs and cats a part of our family for my entire life. I have had dogs in the family since I was little; and most recently have had the pleasure of three lovely ladies; two of which we have raised from puppies. I can care for dogs both young and old, as well as cats. I also have cats in my family, including some with health issues. My life revolves around my pets, and I’d love for your pets to be a part of that too! About: Pet owner, pet lover! I have been sitting for friends and family since I was a teen. I also grew up around large dogs. I adopted a staffy mix in 2014 and we had 9 great years together before she passed. I’m not ready to adopt again, so until then, I’d like to help others. I’ve also had a few cats in the past and currently have 2! They are both tolerant of dogs and if they are uncomfortable, they will typically leave the room. My friends will bring their dogs when they visit me and my cats do well. I don’t have a yard per se but there is a lot of open space for frequent walks/potty breaks. My apartment complex is very pet-friendly. I am on the 2nd floor, so there are 2 sets of steps that may make it hard for older dogs. I often do overnights and stay with pets in their own home to maximize their comfort and keep their routines intact. I’m flexible based on your individual needs. One of my interests is in animal behavior. I have read many books (my favorites are from Patricia B. McConnell) My philosophy is we are training everyday. Consistency is important to me and for them, so I will ask many questions during the meet and greet stage to understand their needs and know how to best support you both. I look forward to meeting you both! My schedule is determined by the pets in my care and their schedules. I am currently freelance with WFH tasks and gig work and schedule my other jobs around my pet care calendar. I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex with lots of open space to walk. With me, your pup will have 24/7 one-on-one attention. They are allowed on the furniture and will always be supervised. I also have room to set up a crate if they are crate-trained but most of the time they will play and hangout where I am. I have 2 cats that do well with dogs. The cat food is raised off the floor and litter boxes are located in the main living space and are scooped immediately.

House sits: I stay overnight in your home. Drop-ins and walks: I book around real med and meal times, not whenever it’s convenient for me. Weekends and holiday windows are when I’m most open. I’m based in Medford. Walks and drop-ins stay inside about 15 miles so I can be on time. If you’re not sure I cover you, send the request anyway — I’ll be honest about drive time. I sit in your home. I do not board other animals at mine. I have two senior dogs and two reptiles, and your pets stay in their own territory — that’s safer for my seniors and calmer for yours. Clinic work is why medically complex pets are a fit, not a stretch: oral meds, insulin and other injections, First Aid/CPR. Pills, post-op care, and “is this an emergency or a weird quirk” are normal for me. If your dog needs two shots a day, I set alarms. If something looks off, you hear from me immediately. I follow your rules in your house — crate, gates, furniture, thermostat, alarm, trash, mail. I don’t treat your home like a hotel and your pet like a side task. Meet & greets are required for first-time overnights so your pet can interview me before you leave.

When I returned home, everything was exactly as I had left it, and she thoughtfully informed me about a potential issue with my lockbox so I could address it. I currently care for five of my own pets, including three dogs of different sizes, a cat, and two guinea pigs. My current work leaves me with some time I love to fill with animals. I'm a remote worker central to Medford Village, which means I'm often available for last minute services. I grew up on a farm with lots of animals and know more than the average bear about dog behavior. I can recognize when a canine is uncomfortable and needs extra patience or anxious and needs an outlet. I have 3 years experience teaching basic obediance on top of that. If you need a consistent walker, I can teach your dog basic walking etiquette during our walks too. I have my own dog who is extremly friendly and availiable for visits, if you would like a playmate for your pup. He's a jobial, 30lb Beagle/lab mix and up to date on all shots. No extra charge, just let me know you'd like to meet Chester too! We used to work with rescued fighting pitbulls and Chester was the dog used for socalizing. Hes very non-reactive and perfect for socalizing puppies or reactive dogs. I look to provide a simulating experience for your pet and a transparent one for you. I am able to provide last minute and consistent services to my neighbors close by M-F, weekends vary. When in your home, I always make sure everything is locked up before I leave and let you know if I see something out of sorts.
