“Melissa went above and beyond!! When our little dog needed to get to the vet unexpectedly, Melissa got him there! Kind heart, great care and very conscientious!! Thank you Melissa!!”

“Kimball is wonderful! She happily met our pup beforehand and was very professional and attentive to her needs. She did a great job of walking her and loving on her, making sure she got a good walk in while we are at work.”
“Came over the day before to meet Sawyer. Went for walk on trail near my house even though I said they could just walk the neighborhood. Went above and beyond, would book again!”

About: Hi, I’m Chris! Dogs have always been a huge part of my life—I’ve spent 30+ years caring for pets for friends and family and I volunteer at a local shelter as a dog walker. I work from home and now have the flexibility to spend more time doing what I love: keeping good dogs (and cats) company. Your dog will get plenty of attention, care, and a walk they’ll look forward to. With a work-from-home schedule, I’m able to offer flexible, attentive care for your pup. We regularly walk around Loose Park and the Plaza and would love to include your dog. When visiting your home, I make sure each walk is tailored to your neighborhood and your dog’s routine. I provide a safe, structured, and attentive environment tailored to each dog’s needs. I take the time to understand your pet’s routine—feeding, exercise, and any specific preferences—so they feel comfortable and cared for from the start. In your home, I’m respectful and detail-oriented, ensuring doors, gates, and leashes are handled carefully at all times. Walks are attentive and controlled, with a focus on safety, awareness, and your dog’s comfort level. With my background in shelter volunteering, I’m experienced with a range of temperaments and prioritize calm, positive interactions. I also provide regular updates, so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands while you’re away.
About: I have cared for my friend’s dogs while they are away many times. I enjoy providing animals with enrichment and making sure they get ample exercise. I am careful around new dogs to let them show me what kind of care they prefer, and strive to make my time with them as enjoyable as possible for both of us. I have full time evening employment. I am available to care for pets Sunday-Thursday 9am to 2pm (meaning my latest available visit would start at 1:30pm for an 30 min visit), and All day Fridays and Saturdays! I have lots of experience with sneaky animals who love eating things they are not supposed to eat or hiding in places they should not be. I am diligent with putting away foodstuffs and making sure doors/ screens are shut. Please let me know if your pet has these behaviors so I can be prepared before the visit.
“Professional, accommodating, and reliable. Ashley did a wonderful job looking after my senior dog whilst I was out of town. I wouldn't hesitate to utilize her services again in the future!”

About: Hi, I'm Leslie! I've been taking care of pets my entire life, both my own and those of my lovely neighbors. I'd be more than thrilled to make sure your pet is comfortable while you're away. I'm used to early mornings and home quite often, so I guarantee I can give your best friend the care they deserve on the schedule that works best for them. While I am new to rover, I promise to care for your pet like they're one of my own. I'm currently working part time, so I have plenty of flexibility to take care of your best friend! I'm free Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays all day; and Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends in the afternoons I will always treat your home with respect, and head out when the job is done! My goal is to make sure your best friend is taken care of so you can focus on what's important without worry.

“Ron was terrific! I loved that I was able to find a walker in my neighborhood. He and Kerry bonded and they both seemed to love each other’s company.”

About: I take my dog (Louie) on walks daily, so I would love to add your dog to our routine! I’ve been dog sitting for 20+ years, in addition to my family always having at least one dog. I personally love smaller dogs. I have experience with rat terriers, cavapoo, yorkies and cavalier king charles breeds. I love pets and think they’re so important to a family! Let me help you keep your pet happy and healthy 😁 I live on the Plaza so I’m in a very walkable part of town, near many parks. I walk my dog in the evenings after work - a quick workout for both of us. We love to walk around Kansas City together! When I’m home, Louie is always right by my side - on the couch, in bed or even while I’m cooking. I crate him most nights and while I’m at work. I live in an apartment so walks are very necessary - we go on at least one a day or we run in my apartment’s dog park. Would love to add your dog to the mix!

About: Hi, I’m Sandy! 🐾 I have over 8 years of experience caring for dogs for friends, family, and clients. As a lifelong dog lover and dog owner myself, I understand that pets are family and deserve to be treated with love, patience, and attention. In addition to raising and caring for my own dogs, I worked at a doggy daycare in Los Angeles for a year and a half after COVID, where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Before moving to Kansas City, I also provided in-home care for an Celebrity’s Pomeranian, staying at the owner’s home to ensure their pet felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for while they were away. Since relocating to Kansas City, I’ve cared for two Afghan Hounds through overnight house sitting, including a senior dog that required extra attention and care. Whether your pet is young and energetic or older and needs a gentler approach, I am committed to providing reliable, loving care tailored to their needs. I’m also a proud first-time cat owner and have experience cat sitting for friends in Los Angeles. I understand that cats need patience, comfort, and personalized care to feel safe and happy while you’re away. 🐾 My goal is to make both pets and owners feel comfortable, confident, and stress-free while they’re apart. I treat every dog as if they were my own and look forward to meeting your furry family member! Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of maintaining routines, providing exercise, playtime, companionship, and lots of love. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the attention they deserve, whether it's daily visits, walks, overnight stays, or extended care. I make it a priority to keep owners updated and ensure their pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while they're away. My top priority is making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their familiar environment. I follow each pet's routine closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions provided by the owner. With experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, cats, and multiple breeds, I understand that every pet has unique needs. When house sitting, I treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect, providing attentive care, companionship, and regular updates for your peace of mind.
“Amber has been absolutely wonderful with my dog! She is communicative, shows good judgment and is excellent to work with. We are very thankful for her walks and attentiveness.”

About: Hello!! Just as much as I love hugging people I love snuggling with dogs! My name is Kayla and I recently moved to Brookside MO! I am just a 4 minute walk to a nearby trolley trail. I got my first whiff of being a pet sitter when I became roommates with a couple of friends and their golden poodle! From there on out I became a dog/cat sitter for Rover.! I also shared a beautiful German Shepard / black lab with my best friend! If you are looking for a flexible schedule and a caring friend for your family then you are at the right place! I look forward to meeting your furry family! I am able to work from home if needed! Depending on what your pet needs and if they are being boarded my schedule is pretty flexible. Vanessa was wonderful to work with! She was easy to communicate with and incredibly accommodating, especially with my last-minute request. We had to make a few adjustments due to the weather, but communication was seamless and she was very flexible throughout the process. I really appreciated how easy she made everything, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and responsive sitter/walker. Thanks again, Vanessa! 🐾😊

Really appreciated how Jennifer wanted to get to know our doggie better before she is boarding him in March. She genuinely was interested in what was best for him and putting him at ease. You could tell how comfortable she was with any situation and we can't wait for Zachy to spend some time with her!

After Melissa watch Nelson earlier this summer, I knew it would be a great fit for her to come by on a day where we were gonna be out of the house for over 12 hours. It’s such a relief to know that Nelson is happy with Melissa and that she wouldn’t be alone for the whole time! P.S she always takes the best pictures!!
