“Rachel & Rhiannon were so easy to work with and provided great care for Keely while we were gone. The updates and pictures helped ease our minds so we could relax and enjoy our trip. We could tell Keely was relaxed and comfortable when we picked her up. We’ll us them again when we’re in the area!”

“Derrika is the GREATEST! I am so happy I found her. She and her family are so nice and their love of animals is very apparent. I loved the pics she sent throughout the day. Within the first few hours of my Yogis first visit she sent me a pic of my doggo with his head in her sons lap. He only does this when he is EXTREMELY comfortable. Knowing Yogi is in excellent hands helps both his & my separation anxiety when we can’t be together. She is a true gem”

“Christine always takes such amazing care of our Frenchie, Lou! She sends daily update and we always feel comfortable leaving town when Lou is in her care.”

“Rocky was well taken care of and it put my mind at ease when i received pictures and videos that he was happy and loved! Thank you again for everything!”

“Stephanie was great with Coco and Mickey! She kept us updated and sent us photos of them. The pups had fun during their stay. Stephanie was very caring and listened to us about the care that both dogs need it! She asked questions to make sure she accommodated all their needs. I highly recommend her to everyone! We will definitely keep her in mind if we need someone to take care of our dogs while we are out of town!”

“Susan was such a great communicator and sent pictures of Bingo daily. He always looked so happy and was doing something fun. She was more than accommodating-will definitely send Bingo to her house again!”

“Chris was able to take Oliver at short notice for a trip I went on. We had a prior meet and greet so I felt comfortable with what to expect. Chris updated me on Oliver and sent pictures. Oliver looked like he had a great time with Chris and Dolly (his pup). He went straight to sleep when I brought him home!”

“Crissy was super great and provided a comfortable home and stay for my pup! really appreciated her checking in (as it was my first rover experience) and her flexibility!”

“Stephanie was quick responder and saved us from a very stressful last minute cancellation from another sitter. She sent lots of pics and updates from the weekend, putting as at ease. Would highly recommend her! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Ben and Cassie are extremely kind. They were accommodating to us forgetting our dog food, updated us during Ivy’s stay and were very professional. We will be using them again in the future, overall a great experience.”

“Amazing she sent pictures and updated me several times a day. Ace was very happy and well taken care of, I felt very comfortable, we did a meet and greet and she showed me the backyard and even encouraged Ace to use the doggie door, unfortunately we don’t have one. Tasha has a nice fenced in back yard she was just awesome I will definitely use her again.”

About: I grew up raising and caring for dogs, gaining hands on experience with feeding, grooming, and understanding different behaviors, needs, and personalities in a loving, responsible environment. I am available during the day but I work from 1a-11a . Please note that my children may also be present at my home during the stay. “Jessica and her family were wonderful with our dog Jack! He seemed right at home at their house for the long weekend. Her kids paid lots of attention to Jack which he can never get enough of. We got plenty of updates over the weekend so we knew exactly how he was doing. We will definitely be using Jessica again in the future!”

“Katelynn was awesome! She was incredibly attentive to details in my dogs’ profiles and I was pleasantly surprised when she just started rattling off information about the meds they take and their different needs I had written out. My dogs were clearly happy and well cared for when I picked them up and we have already rebooked with her for next week!”

“Deanna continues to be a godsend. After canceled flights and travel changes, she was so flexible and accommodating and continued to love on our pup until we could eventually get home. She’s the best!”

“Really wonderful sitter! Our elderly dog was well taken care of, and I got a lot of great updates. Our Ainsley is historically stressed when away from home, but she was comfortable enough to rest, eat, and learn how to use the doggy-door on her own! Definitely a rebook if/when we have to leave our girl again.”

“We absolutely loved Alyssa!!! She watched our very anxious pup over an extended 4th of July weekend and she was amazing 🤩. We received regular updates and fun photos. I could tell she was getting the lovings she would normally receive at home and that it’s important for us in a sitter. We usually have to medicate our pup due to fireworks and she was able to keep her clam without the meds which was fabulous! I could tell Gigi was sad to go, but rest assured we will definitely be returning customers 🐶❤️.”

“Katy did a great job of taking care of my dog! She was also great about answering any questions or concerns I had. I loved getting the updates and pics of how my dog was doing. It helped make being away from her a lot easier knowing she was being well taken care of and loved.”
“Lauren & Kyle took such wonderful care of Addie during her first overnight stay. The compassion/care they showed was apparent and I really appreciated the excellent communication, updates and photos. It was obvious Addie had a great time with all the walks and playtime. She also really seemed to enjoy her time in the spotlight at the photography studio. I highly recommend their services, and you will definitely be our go-to sitters moving forward. Thank you Mary Ann A.”

“Derrika is FANTASTIC!!! She and her family are so incredibly friendly, kind and warm hearted. On the first day that Yogi (my doggo) was there he warmed up immediately - this was so easy for him as he knows & trusts great people. I got several lovely pictures - one of which was Yogi on her couch resting his head on her son’s legs. Yogi doesn’t do this unless he is very chill. You & your doggo will be grateful that you found her!!”

“Jennifer did a wonderful job caring for our bulldog. He loved her so much and her space was just the right size with a fenced in yard. Highly recommend her and will be using her again.”

“Great communications (several check ins, including picture) to let me know my mini goldendoodle Enzo was settling in with the other dogs and doing well during his first day. Enzo was calm and confident when I picked him up - indicating it was a good experience for him too :) Thanks!”

About: I have been the "go-to" dog sitter for my circle of friends for years, and I’ve realized that the only thing better than having one dog in the house is having two (or three if you have a pair of pups!). I’m opening up my home to Rover guests primarily to provide some social fun for my own dog, Ripley. Ripley is a high-energy ball of joy who loves to play, so if you have a dog that never seems to tire out, they’ll find a kindred spirit here. Whether it's rounds of fetch, wrestling in the yard, or just having a buddy to nap with, your dog will be integrated into our daily routine. What to Expect: • Individualized Attention: Because I only sit 1 family’s dogs at a time, your dogs will get plenty of attention! • Active Days: We specialize in high-energy play. If your dog loves to move, they’ll come home happy and exhausted. • A Present Sitter: I work from home so your dogs will have plenty of face time with me! All dogs with an easy going temperament that are ready to play are welcome. I work from home so your dogs will get plenty of belly rubs and play time. I typically give Ripley a long walk (3 miles) after work that your pup is welcome to join or we can just stick to outdoor play time. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly dog that would love to play outside with your pup. I will send you daily updates and photos. I am happy to accommodate crate-trained dogs (bring your own crate) or dogs that roam a little bit more free (provided they don’t have destructive tendencies😂). I am a bit of a toasty sleeper so unfortunately no dogs in the bed, but they are welcome to sleep at the foot of my bed or anywhere else in the house!
“Rachel was awesome! She answered my request fast, and accommodated watching my dog on very short notice. She sent me pictures right away, was communicative and super sweet. Will definitely be using her again!”

“I booked with Taylor to watch my dog for a couple hours one morning. He has separation anxiety. She understands the needs for a dog with SA and was able to help manage his nerves while we were gone for some errands.”

“Griffin took fantastic care of our baby. She was so excited to hang out with them everyday and play. She has been so much more confident around other dogs and people since. Would recommend them to anyone!”

“Stephanie is absolutely wonderful!! She and her sweet family went above and beyond to accommodate our very playful puppy and was sending updates frequently which I really appreciated. Our doggy is a very happy and tired boy after a full day of fun with them! Would absolutely recommend her for any dog owner looking for a sitter to look after them as if they were her own!”

About: I got my first family dog when I was in middle school, no professional experience but I know to handle and care for dogs, wanting to gain some professional experience I currently work part time, about 30 hours a week. Weekday evenings after 5, Friday afternoons/evenings, and weekends are free! Looking to help with short term dog care as I gain experience in pet care. I don’t currently have any pets, but I have a spacious apartment with a fenced in backyard and a small front yard. Near lots of parks.
About: I take my dog (Louie) on walks daily, so I would love to add your dog to our routine! I’ve been dog sitting for 20+ years, in addition to my family always having at least one dog. I personally love smaller dogs. I have experience with rat terriers, cavapoo, yorkies and cavalier king charles breeds. I love pets and think they’re so important to a family! Let me help you keep your pet happy and healthy 😁 I live on the Plaza so I’m in a very walkable part of town, near many parks. I walk my dog in the evenings after work - a quick workout for both of us. We love to walk around Kansas City together! When I’m home, Louie is always right by my side - on the couch, in bed or even while I’m cooking. I crate him most nights and while I’m at work. I live in an apartment so walks are very necessary - we go on at least one a day or we run in my apartment’s dog park. Would love to add your dog to the mix!
“Vanessa was wonderful to work with! She was easy to communicate with and incredibly accommodating, especially with my last-minute request. We had to make a few adjustments due to the weather, but communication was seamless and she was very flexible throughout the process. I really appreciated how easy she made everything, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and responsive sitter/walker. Thanks again, Vanessa! 🐾😊”

About: Hi, I’m Chris! Dogs have always been a huge part of my life—I’ve spent 30+ years caring for pets for friends and family and I volunteer at a local shelter as a dog walker. “Tori was absolutely amazing! Really took the time to understand my girl's needs before and during the visit! Even was able to make it a little earlier since I got called into work early. I would highly recommend her and will definitely hire her again!”

Now, being a full time student at Rockhurst University here in KC, having an animal of my own, Lemmy (a sweet Ragdoll cat), has been an ultimate highlight in my daily routine. I’m used to all animals of all ages and sizes, and am eager to help in any way possible! I’m currently a college student at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, and have a very flexible schedule! I’m willing to accommodate most days/times to help with your needs! I will make sure all food is given out properly and water is freshly filled. I’ll ensure that the doors remain locked when I’m there and when I leave, and that your animals are safe and calm!
About: I've been living my dream for the past three and a half years, pet-sitting in exchange for accommodation as I travel the U.S. as a full-time digital nomad. My extensive nomadic pet-sitting experience has largely been built through a different platform (where I have over 50 five-star reviews for my pet-sitting services) while I worked an unrelated job remotely, but I have converted to / added on Rover in light of being impacted by a mass layoff several months ago. As you can see, I've completed Rover sits in other parts of the U.S. But, Kansas (City) is my home base (I used to live in KC, and I have family/friends all over the area), and I'll be back for a bit in July. I am certainly looking to spend some time in the city while I'm in the area this summer, and I know from experience that pet-sitting is a great way to do it! In the aftermath of my layoff, I have remained very stable through remote side gigs and projects that keep me busy and fulfilled (e.g., a paid remote internship teaching me something new, travel blogging). Still, I have more flexibility in my days to travel to other parts of town and do my work in various settings, so I enjoy utilizing my extensive pet-sitting experience to even further stabilize my life financially. Over the past few years, I've cared for all sorts of pets, ranging from one healthy cat to a seven-animal pack including previously-stray dogs who need to be proven to that they're safe. I've truly made some best friends in these pets; my top favorites have been pitbulls with a personality, as well as cats who provide me some freedom in my daily routine. I've also provided all sorts of medical care to my furry friends: simple pills in pill pockets, "pilling" a cat, checking glucose levels of a diabetic cat and giving it insulin injections, giving a dog allergy immunizations, post-seizure comfort care to a dog, and sincere patience with senior dogs on walks, going up stairs, or who are in the stage of life of needing to wear diapers. I've also watched service dogs who adhere to a different set of rules/commands than their siblings. (When I was younger, I helped train a litter of puppies, so that's also not foreign to me.) While my experience is top-quality, I also have a true love for just spending time with animals, especially dogs and cats. What you can count on from me as your pet-sitter: 1) I will send at least one/two picture(s) a day (if not more because you request it or they do something extra cute/funny!), 2) I will end the sit with various nicknames for them, 3) I will talk to them all day and invite them into every room I hang out in (as long as they're allowed), and 4) I am very attentive to their nonverbal cues, and I will contact you and/or a virtual vet if something seems really off. Pet-sitting has been such a huge part of my nomadic journey thus far, and I've absolutely loved it. . . . I see an opportunity through Rover to monetize and further stabilize my life - as I conduct a full-time job search and pursue adventures I have planned, but also beyond. In my profile pictures, I have included some of my reviews on the other platform I've used for the past few years. If a pet-owner is still curious, I would be happy to provide them with my full profile link. I'm a digital nomad, and pet-sitting has been such a huge part of my journey! I am excited to be back in Kansas City for a bit this summer, and I'm eager to share my time with your pets! My calendar is updated for those dates I'm available. I've spent lots of time in KC over the years, through pet-sitting and living there before I got on the road. I can start my days early and stay up late; I've watched pets who rise before the sun comes up, as well as ones who sleep in like teenagers! I have a lot of remote, digital work to do (ranging from my remote internship to my full-time job search, to running a blog), and your pet is welcome to sit in my lap / at my feet while I work. In my part-time employment era, I have more flexibility and time on my hands, so I figure I might as well expand my time with pets! I look forward to keeping your pets company overnight while watching over your home. But, if you just need someone throughout the day, I love a good coffee shop, so I can hang out at one in your area between drop-ins. In my free time, I enjoy blogging/writing, reading, practicing yoga, cooking and baking, enjoying coffee shops and parks, and going on walks. So, both energetic and calm pets will have a buddy in me. I love a good night in, but I also love to explore new neighborhoods. I look forward to doing so while watching over your furry family! I only agree to pet-sits I feel confident about meeting the pet/home-owners' expectations. Luckily for those searching for the best care for their fur family, I have an extremely wide range of successful experience, including medical/anxiety/senior and home care. Some pets simply need--and want--a human to take them outside and feed them. Others require a bit more attention. I think I really have done it all. I've watched over and bonded with eager, cuddly pets, as well as many rescued/previously-stray dogs who take quite a bit of time to warm up, and cats who fill the litter box and empty the food bowl but rarely show their face. I'm always eager to give the animals my love and affection, should they welcome it, and to fulfill their care needs. I follow all procedures and care that your pet is used to / that you request for them and your home. I am very attentive to pet-owners' instructions, from feeding instructions to crating needs during specific amounts of time alone/overnight, to medication instructions and signs to look out for, to times your fur baby needs to be let out or wants to wake for the day or go to bed. If your pet loves to cuddle and is allowed in the bed or on the couch, they will be welcome to join me. Additionally, I've been astounded to learn how important the HOUSE-sitting portion can be. . . . I've saved a flooding bathroom caused by the connected unit, handled a creepy neighbor while keeping the homeowner involved, kept a saltwater pool clean and operating, oversaw an AC and furnace replacement, and more. Especially for overnight stays, I am known to leave homes just as clean if not cleaner than I found them, with bedding and towels taken care of if my departure time allows.
“Professional, accommodating, and reliable. Ashley did a wonderful job looking after my senior dog whilst I was out of town. I wouldn't hesitate to utilize her services again in the future!”

I do live in a one bedroom apartment with my one dog. She is friendly! We do have balcony space and I do have a single crate if crating is needed. Generally okay with creating space in the living room for the zoomies. We also have a dog park located in my apartment complex area where I’m happy to let them run around in! I am currently searching for a full time job but for now I can be flexible! I will of course give updates to anyone who books with me regarding any changes I care for pets the same way I care for mine. As family, with love and care. An animal just isn’t a pet. They are family and I will treat them as so.

“Katy did a great job of taking care of my dog! She was also great about answering any questions or concerns I had. I loved getting the updates and pics of how my dog was doing. It helped make being away from her a lot easier knowing she was being well taken care of and loved.”

“Shannon is an excellent dog sitter. She has watched our 10 year dog, Ginger, several times now. I am very confident she’s being well looked after and getting all the love and attention she needs. “Jillian was absolutely amazing with our baby, Scooby! She took wonderful care of him and provided updates and pictures! Scooby definitely enjoyed his "vacation" with Jillian and I will DEFINITELY book services with her again! This was the first time he has been away from us overnight and we were a little worried, but the updates she provided, we felt very reassured that he was in the best hands! Thank you Jillian!”

“I was super skeptical about using this app. My pup doesn’t always do the greatest being away from me. Let me tell you, I am super thankful to have found Erin. She does an amazing job. She communicates and updates you frequently. She has been extremely flexible and patient with me when I have ran late.”

“Becky was amazing! She was so sweet to our pup and made us feel super comfortable leaving him at her house. She sent a lot of pictures and was flexible with schedules. I especially loved that she allowed our dog on furniture and didnt require him to be kenneled. We will definitely reach out of Becky again when we have to leave town!!”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my Blue Heeler received! When I picked her up after two nights, she was calm, content, and completely at ease — no anxiety at all, which says everything about the environment she was kept in. The dog area was spacious and looked brand new, giving her plenty of room to feel comfortable. I’ll definitely be back!”
