About: I’ve been responsible for the care and wellbeing of pets my entire life. I grew up in a household with a small menagerie of animals, and I’ve cared for everything from exotic pets like lizards and birds to more common companions like dogs and cats. My love for animals extends into my professional experience as well, where I’ve developed a strong background in animal husbandry. I understand the responsibility that comes with pet care, and I take that role very seriously. I treat every pet as a member of the family, providing attentive care, patience, and plenty of affection to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine, and I currently have a highly flexible schedule that allows me to be available for walks, drop ins, and sitting throughout the day and week. I’m able to accommodate a wide range of needs, including morning, midday, and evening visits, as well as more consistent care for pets that benefit from a steady routine or extra attention. I prioritize reliability and clear communication, so you can count on your pet’s schedule being followed closely. I focus on providing a safe, calm, and consistent environment that keeps pets comfortable and as happy as possible while you’re away. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all care instructions to maintain your pet’s routine, from feeding and walks to medications and any specific preferences. I’m pay close attention to both pet and home safety. I ensure doors and gates are secure, keep the home space clean, and make sure to stay aware of any changes in pet behavior or health. I also provide regular updates so owners feel confident that their pets are in good hands. When starting with a new pet, I take a patient, low pressure approach, especially with shy or sensitive animals. My goal is to allow them to adjust at their own pace to someone new while making sure they receive consistent, attentive care.

About: Lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs of all sizes and a current cat owner. I’m available most weekday mornings (before 8am) and evenings (after 6pm), all day on Tuesdays, (most) Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Would prefer to care for pets at client’s homes but can be flexible. I currently have a cat, so if boarding, I would only be comfortable with dogs who have experience around cats.

About: I've had both dogs and cats my entire life, so being around animals is second nature to me. Over the years, I've also helped care for my neighbors' and family friends pets whenever they were out of town. This included; feeding, walking, playing, and just being there to keep them company. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets, and I always treat every animal like they’re my own. Whether it’s a quick check-in or a longer stay, I make sure each pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I am a student at the University of Michigan, studying sport management. I would love the opportunity to take care of other people's pets over my summer break. About: Hey all, I have been hosting dogs on Rover on and off for almost 10 years now. My dog Camden really enjoys hanging out with pups and meeting new buddies! I work in DC Monday-Wednesday, but the rest of the week I’m available for boarding and drop ins/walks. I have experience with a ton of breeds, ages, and sizes of pups and am always happy to take them on adventures! I work remotely and have a fenced yard, allowing me to provide supervision pretty much the entire day. My own dog Camden is very dog friendly and would love any friend to play with, inside or outside. I have my own dog as well who loves meeting new friends. I would be happy to take our dogs on group walks or hikes, and have my own backyard for them to play whenever they want.

About: Growing up my family had 2 border terriers so I am familiar with the terrier breed and am used to the high-energy personalities. I also grew up with golden retrievers; my next door neighbor was a breeder and I would go over after school and help take care of the puppies and play with them. My first job when I was younger was to take care or neighbors pets while they were on vacation. Dogs, cats, fish, snakes you name it! My sister has a dog, my friends have dogs, and I can’t wait to have my own soon! My work schedules changes every month, but it is very flexible. I live less than 1 mile from work. This gives me the maximum amount of time to take care of and love your pet! I work 630-3 Monday-Friday and come home for lunch everyday. I wake up early, I get home early and I come home for lunch everyday. My work is very accommodating if I need for leave work for any reason. My dog loving wife works from home as well. I currently have no pets of my own so I can give 100% attention to yours! I’m happy to crate your pet if you wish and have no problem letting them roam freely at my house if they stay over.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for them. I grew up with two dogs: a 12 year old Golden Doodle and a 4 year old Cavapoo, so I’m very familiar with both senior dogs and younger, energetic pups. While they are my family dogs and not currently living with me, I’ve been involved in their care my entire life, often handling walks and daily responsibilities, especially when my parents were at work and I took on most of their care. I’m comfortable with walks, feedings, playtime, and making sure dogs feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I treat every dog like my own and enjoy getting to know their unique personalities! I work in the office Monday through Wednesday from 9:00–4:30, so my availability is a bit more limited during those days. However, I’m available during evenings on those days for walks or drop-ins. I work from home on Thursdays and Fridays, which allows me to be much more flexible throughout the day for pet care. Weekends can vary for me—I tend to be busy Friday evenings and Saturdays, but Sundays are generally open and a good day for me to provide care. I follow the owner’s instructions closely to ensure pets are comfortable and following their normal routine. During walks, I focus on safe leash handling and choosing routes based on each dog’s needs. For drop-in visits, I provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, and lots of play time of course. I always respect clients’ homes and my goal is to keep pets happy, cared for, and at ease while their owners are away.

I have lived in Locust Point for years and know lots of fun walking routes, parks, and pet friendly stops around the neighborhood. I also love keeping cats company and snuggling them (if that's their thing) while their humans are away. In addition to simply loving animals, I have over 20 years of experience caring for animals to include pet sitting, dog walking, and volunteering at two animal rescues. I have one giant chocolate lab of my own. I would absolutely love the opportunity to meet and care for your pups! Note: I am very open to same day or last minute bookings - they may occur an additional charge :) I am a freelancer and can be pretty flexible with my schedule throughout the day. I'm also open to early morning and evening care, especially on weekends. My goal is to treat your pets like my own! And my pets, historically, are very spoiled and have a lot of fun and treats.
