About: Hi! I am Monika and I currently live in Platt Park area. I am free most weekends and I absolutely love all animals especially dogs! I will take care of your dog like it is my own. I know how hard it is to leave your dog alone all day or while on vacation and I would love to help out to make their day more special. I volunteer at Dumb Friends League animal shelter as a dog walker and I have always had dogs in my life except for right now. I am friendly, responsive and like to be outdoors. Looking forward to meeting you and your dog soon. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Thank you for your time and I hope you have a wonderful day!
“Danielle was absolutely phenomenal.! She truly went above and beyond of what I expected of care for King. She was very comfortable and knowledgeable of his breed and handled him with great care & even thought me a few training points. So thankful for her and accepting my booking at such short notice as well. 10/10 ⭐️”

“Jamie & Ritz are wonderful guardians to Maeve. They consistently throughout the day kept me posted on how she’s doing, and Toffee made her feel very welcome in their home. I highly recommend, and I plan to rebook with them again!”

“Our dog loved her time with Ashley. She felt 100% at home which was very important to me. I tried a pet store doggy day care previously and it was overwhelming to my dog, she was not happy when I picked her up. When I picked her up from Ashley she was so happy and I could tell she had a great day. Ashley sent pictures. was very responsive, and she was very accommodating. I will definitely be booking with her again!!!”

“Neelank and Diana are the kindest petsitters. Snoopy had such a good time playing outside with their 2 dogs Porter & Oliver. They took care of Snoopy as he was their own dog. Definitely would recommend them if you are searching a trustworthy place for your dog to stay a day or more.”

“Justine is so compassionate with my dog. She assured me he would be at home and he is. I appreciate the interaction her family and cats with my pup. He comes home happy and tired. I highly recommend Justine.”

“Super happy with our experience with Esha and Vineeth. Esha always replied promptly which was so reassuring. I also loved getting regular picture updates throughout the day. Our doggo was taken outside for breaks which was awesome, and she was super flexible with pick up and drop off times. Miko was so well cared for - we will definitely be booking again! 😊”

I’m 100% full time work from home. My wife Brenda is also mostly work from home. We are available all day to provide love and attention to your pup, including but not limited to playtime in the yard and walks around the neighborhood! We have a calm, quiet home where your pup can relax and enjoy their vacation. Large, fenced in yard, no kids, just 2 fur babies to provide as much companionship as your pup desires!
About: I have spent my life caring for others—as a registered nurse, mom, and lifelong animal lover. My nursing background has taught me patience, attention to detail, and how to provide calm, compassionate care, which I bring to every pet I meet. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether your pup needs long walks, playtime, extra cuddles, medication reminders, or just a calm and reassuring presence while you’re away, I will care for them like part of my own family. I have owned dogs for 30 years...chihuahuas, terriers, a beagle, lab and Aussie mixes. I’m especially comfortable with pets who need a little extra attention, including puppies learning routines, shy or anxious dogs who need patience, and senior pets who may require gentler care. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, loved, and happy—and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands. As a school nurse, I have a flexible summer schedule that allows me to spend lots of time at home providing attentive, personalized care. I’m available for walks, playtime, cuddles, and keeping your dog’s normal routine as consistent as possible while you’re away. Safety, trust, and comfort are always my top priorities. As a registered nurse, I understand the importance of being attentive and dependable. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family with a calm, loving environment, plenty of attention, supervised play, walks, and time to relax. I make sure dogs have a safe space to feel comfortable and follow their usual routines as closely as possible.
“Second time benefiting from Christina’s care of our doodle and the third experience is already booked! So much peace of mind knowing our pup is in good hands. Thanks Christina and fam!”

“Darrilyn was wonderful with my fussy little dogs. They had a blast. Darrilyn is wonderful and we look forward to visiting her again on our frequent return to the area. She will be our "go-to" sitter when we're back in town. I highly recommend her and so does Oliver and Evay Ann.”

About: I have owned and cared for dogs, assisting in training and grooming, my entire life. I worked in a grooming parlor throughout high school and have owned a number of animals both domestic and exotic since childhood, including cats, dogs, reptiles, and fish. I am currently training my youngest dog as my service dog for a newly discovered dysautonomic condition, which has given me a plethora of knowledge outside of the basic obedience training I have provided the dogs in my care my entire life. I am experienced in medication administration, senior care, dietary restrictions/allergies, and am familiar with behavioral issues stemming from insecurity or severe anxiety, giving me great attention to dog behavior and body language. I am also able to do a basic full body groom for dogs including paw pads, nails, teeth, and ears from home, limited to dogs requiring only brush outs and not actual haircuts for their breed. With my experience in pet anxiety, particularly separation, I am also very attentive to enrichment for the dogs I care for, ensuring they are mentally and physically stimulated to avoid any destructive behaviors from boredom. I am also a beginner to dog sports, something I am exploring the different forms of with my current dogs to see which sport they thrive in and enjoy. I am technically unemployed, meaning my routine can be adjusted to fit the needs of the dogs I am caring for. My usual routines are driving kids to and from school or taking them and our puppy on outdoor adventures (walking, fishing, swimming, etc) that would easily be able to include your own dog! We also recently lost our high needs senior dog last March, which has left us with a lot of extra time to love on another pup. It leaves a lot of flexibility for anyone with a wonky schedule or a 9-5 that needs care during normal working hours. I am currently a caregiver for my 7 year old epileptic brother who would be home outside of school and most weekdays during sitting, which means that any dogs I board should be comfortable with respectful kids. I also have a 2 year old friendly white pittie and small senior chihuahua mix that would give your dog someone to play with! If your dog does need to be the only dog, I would be able to sit rather than board at my own home for their comfort, as I am unable to offer boarding without my dogs being home. Outside of driving my brother to and from school or the occasional doctor's appointment, I am typically pretty available outside of my puppy's training schedule which I am able to adjust as needed. I offer enrichment, am able to crate, and have a long line on our patio with a plethora of toys from balls to a flirt pole for outdoor play. We also live in a complex with two built in dog parks that I use when empty, which I would be able to bring your dog to with or without my own. I am able to do training, enrichment, medication administration, meals, outdoor time, and provide walks as needed and to the degree your animal needs. I also have experience in caring for both ill and healthy exotic animals should you have any other pets in your home that need care.
“Fancy had a great couple of days with Jean and Al. She and another puppy ran until they couldn't run any more. Fancy fell asleep the moment we got home. She woke up long enough to have dinner and then went back to sleep for the night. The next day she did it all over again. I will absolutely have Fancy stay with Jean and Al again! Thank you, Jean and Al.”

“Michelle was great!! I feel so lucky to have found her on the site!! She went above and beyond, sending me pictures and updates throughout the day. Also, she was willing and patient to work with my dog even though she is still a puppy. I truly felt relieved to know she was in Michelle's hands! I will definitely be using her services again.”

I have plenty of experience caring for animals both big and small. I have had many dogs throughout my life, mostly two at a time. Susan took amazing care of my slightly rambunctious puppy (2 months old). She is very good with providing updates and it is very reassuring that she has a love for dogs and has lots of experience taking care of them. She is the perfect person to care for your pets! Overall great experience and it was clear that my puppy enjoyed being in her care for the day. Thank you, Susan!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lisle commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
