When talking about safety with any pet, I take a precautious approach with anything that could become an 'oops!' or a 'hey you, get that out of your mouth!' moment. So I will always take precautions with anything being left out unmonitored like toys, food, anything chewable, stringy, or soft toys, etc. I never want to have to think twice about a preventable accident with your pet, so I always take the time to keep everyone safe. This goes especially for walks, your dog or cat's safety is always going to be at the front of my mind when interacting with any other furry friends nearby, as it is always better to be safe than sorry. Every pet needs a different relationship approach, and different play styles! There are some pets who just want to cuddle, ones who need specific play-styles to be interested, and others who need someone up to the task of frizbee-ing the Tasmanian Devil out of them! I know personally one of my cats only wants to lazily swat at one specific toy he keeps losing, and the other wants to run and leap around for 20 minutes straight. I am dedicated to learning what your pet really likes so they have a great time with me, and you can go to work, over a friends, or on vacation without a worry that they living their best life. About: I grew up having pets since I was born, including dogs, turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs and others. My daughters and I have taken care of our neighbors and friends dogs, and we have experience interacting with cats from my brothers and friends. We have a cat named Pumpkin and a guinea pig named Cozy, but my daughters are longing for any dog-sitting especially, so we have plenty of space, love and affection to spare, if needed. I am a teacher with my summers off. My daughters are in camps periodically, but we are largely staying local throughout the rest of the summer, and I have a number of house projects that will keep me based at home for most days. I have a pet-friendly townhouse community that I live in. Safe, slow-moving cars, dog-walking areas with doggie bag stations, coupled with open grassy areas, and conveniently located near several close-by parks and even a dog park 10 minutes way. Other dogs are leashed in the community. If needed, your dog can be kept in our finished basement, with plenty of space to move around. In your home, if you prefer to have the dog walked nearby and/or caged at night, that will not be a problem.

About: I have devoted my life to learning about animal behavior and enrichment, and I am always eager to use this knowledge to give any pet I care for the best time possible. I have cared for several species over the course of my life, including dogs, cats, fish, rodents and more. I am also someone who is very passionate about dog training using fun, reward-focused techniques to build a strong relationship and help work through any challenges a pup may have. I have volunteered at multiple animal shelters, where I cared for both dogs and cats through cleaning their enclosures, walking them, playing with them and ensuring their needs were met. About: I've been watching the pets of friends, relatives, and neighbors since I was about 18. I've given insulin to both dogs and cats during my time pet-sitting. I currently own and care for two very spoiled female guinea pigs. During the week, I work full-time with a hybrid home/office schedule. On the days I am in the office, I do leave at mid-day to finish my workday from home. I can be available for bathroom breaks all throughout the day and go on walks/play with your pets in the evening. I work from a laptop, so I have the ability to relocate my workspace if necessary. I am able to provide all-day availability on weekends. About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of pets. I’ve loved animals since I can remember from a very early age. I have one cat personally but take care of three dogs during my off time. No matter how big or small all animals can count on my expertise for the love and care they need and deserve. Currently in between jobs, I have all the free time in the world, I would love to stay with afternoons and nights however over night is no problem with me! I do not have a yard however there is a field that your pups can play in directly in front of my home. I do have a crate if needed as well as my own space for your pups if they need separation. My cat is very friendly and loves to cuddle with all animals but can put him away during your pets stay with me just in case.

About: I’ve had a dog since I was 7 years old who recently passed away. I live with my parents who are also fellow animal lovers and love when I pet-sit for friends. It brings life and fun to our household to host your furry friends. I currently work part time waitressing a few nights a week nearby. I am off weekends so I have all that time carved out to take care of pets! I have an unfenced, medium sized open field directly across from my condominium building I can take your pet for potty breaks and play time. I can keep them leashed for their safety. My parents, who I live with, are fellow animal lovers who love spending time with animals. I have a lazy cat who spends most of the day sleeping, but he lives upstairs in our split unit with my parents. My unit is entirely separate from where he resides, so if your pet doesn’t like cats, it’s no problem!

She sent many messages to let us know how they were doing. She was very thorough with providing photos and updates. We were so happy to have her there to watch over them for both of the visits. Also our kittens took to her right away and it seemed like they were comfortable with her as much as we were. I will look forward to having Kirsten watch over our kittens again in the future.
