She came to do a meetup and the boys liked her. Communication and the whole process was smooth. Never had someone do a drop in visit in my home before since we moved out to Delaware. I would hire her again and recommend her to others!

About: I have several years of experience working in an animal hospital as a veterinary technician, where I cared for pets with a variety of needs and learned how to recognize changes in behavior, health, and comfort levels. My veterinary background has given me the skills and confidence to provide safe, attentive care, including administering medications and noticing when a pet may not be feeling their best. Outside of work, I’m a proud pet parent to two doggies and two wonderful cats, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care. I treat every animal like they are my own—with patience, compassion, and plenty of love. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, playtime, medication support, or simply a caring companion while you’re away, I’m committed to providing dependable and personalized care.🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work remotely full-time from 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, which gives me plenty of availability in the mornings and early afternoons to dedicate time to animals. I would love to use that time for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention and care they deserve. I’m a responsible and caring pet owner myself, and I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy looking after your pets. I enjoy creating a calm, comfortable environment and making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets, my top priorities are safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment where they feel secure. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely to maintain their pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), walks, playtime, and any special preferences they have. I treat every home and pet with respect, taking the time to build trust and make sure each animal feels comfortable in my care. I pay close attention to their behavior, surroundings, and needs to help prevent any safety concerns.

About: I don't just watch dogs—I welcome them into my family. Every pup receives personalized attention, a safe environment, and lots of love while you're away. During the summer, I work part-time Monday through Thursday for about four hours at summer school, after the 4 hours I am home. I am off weekends as well. Your dog will be welcomed into my home like family. I have a fully fenced yard, two friendly Shih-Poos who love making new friends, and a calm, loving environment. I'll follow your pet's routine, including feeding, medications, potty breaks, and any special instructions, so they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you're away.

Eleanor did an amazing job taking care of our cat Jax that is facing kidney issues. Jax requires multiple oral medicines as well as an IV injection daily, neither of which he is a fan of, but Eleanor was able to swaddle him, administer his medicines, and make it as painless as possible. Would definitely recommend.

Stephanie was my first pet sitter with Rover, and I was really apprehensive about leaving my cat for 2 weeks. Stephanie not only went above and beyond to reassure me, but she was flexible with the booking and checking on my house while I was away. She provided detailed updates with plenty of pictures, followed all instructions, and exceeded expectations. My normally skittish cat took to Stephanie immediately, which I know had to do with Stephanie, because she didn’t come out for anyone else that stopped by the house. I had a wonderful experience, and would definitely request Stephanie for any future pet sitting needs.

If you have any questions about my availability or scheduling, don’t hesitate to reach out. I understand that life (and pets!) can be unpredictable. I’ve lived with dogs my entire life and currently have one of my own. My experience spans every stage of life, from energetic puppies learning the ropes to senior dogs needing a little extra patience and specialized care. Whether your dog is happiest curled up on the couch or thrives with an active lifestyle, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m experienced with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities, including reactive dogs. I believe every dog deserves to feel safe and understood, and I always prioritize respecting their boundaries while keeping everyone involved safe. In addition to everyday pet care, I have experience with: * Senior dogs with mobility challenges * Medication administration * Canine insulin injections * Canine allergy injections * Puppies and basic puppy care * High-energy and working dogs * Dog sports and active canine lifestyles As a full time Healthcare worker, I’m comfortable following medication schedules, handling medications safely, and paying close attention to detail. You can trust that your pet’s health and routine will be taken seriously. I know emergencies happen, and whenever my schedule allows, I’m happy to work with families who need last minute bathroom breaks or drop in visits. Whether your dog wants to explore the neighborhood, play until they’re tired, practice good manners, or simply enjoy some company and cuddles, I’ll treat them like one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member! I understand that unexpected situations happen, so when my schedule allows, I’m happy to help with last-minute drop-in visits or bathroom breaks. I do my best to be flexible while making sure every pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. I work full-time on an early day shift, which allows me to provide pet care during the afternoons and evenings throughout the week. I’m also available some weekends and can often accommodate additional visits with advance notice. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I know every dog is different, so I take the time to understand their personality, preferences, and any special instructions before each visit. During drop-in visits and walks, I treat your home with the same respect I would my own. I’ll make sure your pet has fresh water, receives any requested meals or medications, gets plenty of exercise or enrichment. I have experience working with reactive dogs and always prioritize safe handling, respecting their boundaries, and avoiding situations that could cause unnecessary stress. With my background in healthcare, I’m also comfortable administering medications, including insulin and allergy injections, while following instructions carefully and safely. My goal is for you to feel confident knowing your pet is in caring, capable hands while you’re away.

Great experience. I have two dogs that cannot get along and are isolated from one another. Don’t hate me but they are rescues. Z managed to feed them let them out with no incidence. Z was respectful of my home and I never let a person here without me. Z took care of my babies like Z’s own. Highly recommend.

Marissa is exceptional she took our 7 day appointment last minute and was very understanding and communicative. We were very skeptical at first using a service one to watch our puppy and two having someone coming in our home while we weren’t there. Marissa communicated every day as well as sent pictures. She definitely went over and beyond with our puppy “Buddy”, She bathed him, took care of his play pen area as we would. Im very thankful for Marissa and clearly Buddy enjoyed her as well.

From a Husky Owner: Finding the right dog sitter is crucial for a Husky owner. Huskies are known for their high energy, need for consistent training, and strong prey drive. Therefore, Ryan was highly appreciated! He understood that a Leo needed more than a just short walk by automatically volunteering an extended walk tailoring to include vigorous exercise allowing my dog to burn his energy. The ability to manage leash manners and maintain attention, even with distractions, was impressive, as Huskies can be very independent on walks. Ryan asked about Leo’s training leash techniques and reviewed modeling the leash behavior. In addition to physical activity, Ryan showed commitment to mental stimulation for Leo. Puzzle toys and an intense play session kept Leo’s mind occupied, which helped prevent any destructive behaviors that can arise from boredom in Huskies. Training commands were also reinforced consistently, which is important for this breed. There was also excellent communication from Ryan during my time away! Knowing that Leo was well-cared for, happy, and engaged made my trip more relaxing and worry free! I’d highly recommend Ryan as your next dog sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
