About: I grew up with dogs my whole life (Rottweilers, Standard Poodles, and Shih Tzu). I have cared for my bunny rabbit for 10 years and my senior shih tzu for 3. I love animals and treat them kindly and respectfully. Your pet will be safe and happy with me! I am available before 8:00 am, midday, and after 5:30 PM for dog walking and drop in visits. I look forward to caring for your pet! <3 I live in a two bedroom, non-smoking apartment. The apartment complex is dog friendly. There is a fenced dog park and large yard for walks. My 10 year old shih tzu uses steps to get on the couch so those are available as well.

About: Hi, I’m Tara! I work full time on an early day shift, which leaves me available afternoons and evenings for some drop in visits, walks, and pet care. If you have any questions about my availability or scheduling, don’t hesitate to reach out. I understand that life (and pets!) can be unpredictable. I’ve lived with dogs my entire life and currently have one of my own. My experience spans every stage of life, from energetic puppies learning the ropes to senior dogs needing a little extra patience and specialized care. Whether your dog is happiest curled up on the couch or thrives with an active lifestyle, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m experienced with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities, including reactive dogs. I believe every dog deserves to feel safe and understood, and I always prioritize respecting their boundaries while keeping everyone involved safe. In addition to everyday pet care, I have experience with: * Senior dogs with mobility challenges * Medication administration * Canine insulin injections * Canine allergy injections * Puppies and basic puppy care * High-energy and working dogs * Dog sports and active canine lifestyles As a full time Healthcare worker, I’m comfortable following medication schedules, handling medications safely, and paying close attention to detail. You can trust that your pet’s health and routine will be taken seriously. I know emergencies happen, and whenever my schedule allows, I’m happy to work with families who need last minute bathroom breaks or drop in visits. Whether your dog wants to explore the neighborhood, play until they’re tired, practice good manners, or simply enjoy some company and cuddles, I’ll treat them like one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member! I understand that unexpected situations happen, so when my schedule allows, I’m happy to help with last-minute drop-in visits or bathroom breaks. I do my best to be flexible while making sure every pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. I work full-time on an early day shift, which allows me to provide pet care during the afternoons and evenings throughout the week. I’m also available some weekends and can often accommodate additional visits with advance notice. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I know every dog is different, so I take the time to understand their personality, preferences, and any special instructions before each visit. During drop-in visits and walks, I treat your home with the same respect I would my own. I’ll make sure your pet has fresh water, receives any requested meals or medications, gets plenty of exercise or enrichment. I have experience working with reactive dogs and always prioritize safe handling, respecting their boundaries, and avoiding situations that could cause unnecessary stress. With my background in healthcare, I’m also comfortable administering medications, including insulin and allergy injections, while following instructions carefully and safely. My goal is for you to feel confident knowing your pet is in caring, capable hands while you’re away.

About: I grew up with dogs from a young age and fell in love with taking care of them. As I got older and went to school, I was always happy to help friends and neighbors to look after their pets as well. Now, I’m happy to say that I’ve been a dog walker and pet mom for three years! I currently work full-time, but my schedule is variable and I’m more than happy to work pet care into my schedule. Whether it’s a walk or drop-in, I can usually find time to help! In your home, your pets know what’s best and most comfortable. I do my best to work with them and adjust to their needs accordingly based on what’s available and familiar to them in your space.

About: I've been caring for pets for almost 10 years, including about 8 years of experience with both dogs and cats. I genuinely enjoy spending time with all kinds of dogs—from big to small, energetic to laid-back, and everything in between! I love getting to know each dog's personality and making sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which gives me great availability for dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the day. I’m able to work around your schedule and provide your pets with the attention and care they need. I’ll always care for your dog with the same love and attention I give my own. Whether we’re out for a walk, enjoying some playtime, having a meal, or simply keeping each other company, I’ll make sure your pup feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for!

About: I was gifted my first puppy at 10 years old and from that moment I knew I had been missing the love of animals in my life. Going through high school, I walked neighborhood dogs while families went away on vacation. I also made “as needed” drop in visits for families with young dogs and cats. Recently, I was tasked with taking a sick Boston Terrier to the vet and then held the responsibility of giving her medicine twice daily. Currently, I’m working part time in an office setting. In the near future I hope to take on caring for animals full time! I will be able to work early morning or late at night depending on what is needed from the client. I will easily adapt to your routine at home in order for your pet to have the best experience. Leaving little notes for me is highly encouraged so the routine you have already put in place is continuous.

About: I have a senior yellow lab (almost 13 years old!) who has been in my life since he was 8 weeks old. As he gets older, more and more care is required for him. Along with that, I have worked with families of different dogs when dogsitting is needed. This care ranged from small to large dogs at all stages of life. I enjoy playing in the yard with them. As someone who has had a dog for so long, I know how people want their dog treated when they are away. I am offering love and care to your dogs while you are away, so they don’t feel lonely at all! I am looking for weekend dog sitting plans. I work a full time job during the week and will not be able to provide the care I hope to for your dogs on the weekdays. As mentioned, I know how much our dogs matter to us! I will do exactly what you request with your dog! Whether that is walks, playing, certain food techniques and more!

I have been hesitant to take vacation especially because my older dog is not a fan of kennels. I decided to use Rover for the first time and chose Anne as my sitter. She did a fantastic job! My dog and cat loved her since they met her. Anne kept following up with me and letting me know how they were doing. While on vacation, I knew that they were in capable hands and well taken care of. I will always try to choose her and that puts me at ease when I'm away. Thanks Anne!

Stephanie was my first pet sitter with Rover, and I was really apprehensive about leaving my cat for 2 weeks. Stephanie not only went above and beyond to reassure me, but she was flexible with the booking and checking on my house while I was away. She provided detailed updates with plenty of pictures, followed all instructions, and exceeded expectations. My normally skittish cat took to Stephanie immediately, which I know had to do with Stephanie, because she didn’t come out for anyone else that stopped by the house. I had a wonderful experience, and would definitely request Stephanie for any future pet sitting needs.

About: I’ve had a dog since I was 7 years old who recently passed away. I live with my parents who are also fellow animal lovers and love when I pet-sit for friends. It brings life and fun to our household to host your furry friends. I currently work part time waitressing a few nights a week nearby. I am off weekends so I have all that time carved out to take care of pets! I have an unfenced, medium sized open field directly across from my condominium building I can take your pet for potty breaks and play time. I can keep them leashed for their safety. My parents, who I live with, are fellow animal lovers who love spending time with animals. I have a lazy cat who spends most of the day sleeping, but he lives upstairs in our split unit with my parents. My unit is entirely separate from where he resides, so if your pet doesn’t like cats, it’s no problem!

About: I have spent the majority of my life taking care of multiple pets. I grew up with dogs, and became a cat person the second half of my life, I still love them all so much. I currently have 2 cats that I adopted who are amazing: Felix, the sweetest gentle giant. And Ophelia, the newest addition to the family. She is an energetic cuddle bug and the biggest sweetheart! I recently lost my oldest cat Charlie, who I’ve had since I was 9. She was 20 years old, and I had her from 8 weeks old until the end. She was a super geriatric senior who needed assistance and care for about 3-4 years prior to her passing. I feel confident in administrating any medications needed, as well as frequent checks to make sure the pet is as healthy as can be! I am available for dog walking needs and stop in visits! For both services, I only request a quick meeting with the pet before we are left alone for everyone’s safety. My schedule is extremely flexible, so don’t hesitate to reach out! Im available all week, whenever you need! I have plenty of time to burn some energy and make sure your pet receives the love it deserves! Im currently working on online courses to complete my history degree, which can be done at any time! I cannot currently offer services in my own home as I have 2 cats who are very attached to their humans, and I don’t feel comfortable introducing new pets. Over time and with trust built between your pet and myself, this may change!

About: I’ve had the joy of raising and caring for a Cavachon for two years, which gave me hands-on experience with the daily ups and downs of dog parenthood—feeding, training, walks, and lots of playtime. Due to personal reasons, the pup now lives with my former partner, but I truly cherish that time and all the lessons it taught me about patience, consistency, and unconditional love. I’ve always dreamed of owning another dog of my own again soon, but in the meantime, I’m grateful for the opportunity to care for yours. I know how hard it is for pet parents to leave their pups at home, and I can never resist those puppy eyes either. That’s why I promise to give your dog the love, comfort, and companionship they deserve while you’re away. I’m a recent college graduate from Drexel University and currently searching for a full-time role, which gives me extra flexibility in my schedule. Caring for dogs is not just a side hustle for me—it’s a passion. I have plenty of time during weekdays and on weekends to devote my full attention to your pup, making sure they get the love, playtime, and exercise they deserve. Drop-in visit might works the best for me:) Your dog’s safety and comfort will always come first. I live in a safe environment and can adjust easily to your pup’s needs—whether that means crate training, sticking to their feeding schedule, or providing lots of play and snuggles. Having cared for a Cavachon myself, I understand the ups and downs of pet parenting, and I know how important it is for you to feel at ease while away. I’ll make sure your furry friend feels loved, secure, and happy until you’re back home.

Great experience. I have two dogs that cannot get along and are isolated from one another. Don’t hate me but they are rescues. Z managed to feed them let them out with no incidence. Z was respectful of my home and I never let a person here without me. Z took care of my babies like Z’s own. Highly recommend.

Marissa is exceptional she took our 7 day appointment last minute and was very understanding and communicative. We were very skeptical at first using a service one to watch our puppy and two having someone coming in our home while we weren’t there. Marissa communicated every day as well as sent pictures. She definitely went over and beyond with our puppy “Buddy”, She bathed him, took care of his play pen area as we would. Im very thankful for Marissa and clearly Buddy enjoyed her as well.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
