“Stephanie was amazing with my cat Bam Bam while I was away! She was incredibly reliable, friendly, and made sure he got all of his medication on time, which gave me such peace of mind. She took the time to check in, send updates, and make sure he was comfortable. I could tell she genuinely cared about him, and that made all the difference. I would absolutely recommend Stephanie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of Bam Bam!”

“Sue took care of our dog for the first time this weekend. She was really great with our dog and we felt very comfortable leaving her with access to our house and taking care of our pup. She's incredible friendly and I recommend using her!”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs all my life. I’ve always cared for my neighbors pets as a child and continued to care for pets in adult hood. I have also volunteered at animal shelters and fostered kittens. I’m currently working full time Monday-Friday. I have availability for pet services in the mornings and evenings as well as full availability for weekend sittings. I treat clients pets and homes with respect as if it were my own house. About: Hello! My name is Sofia and I’m an experienced and reliable pet sitter living in a house with no pets and a big fenced backyard, which allows pets space to play, relax, and feel at home!! 🏡🐾 My entire life I have loved all kinds of animals and I believe dogs are angels on Earth 😇 My current schedule allows me to have more time to care for all your sweet pets and flexibility to match your needs . I have completed CPR dog/cat training credited by American Red Cross to relieve any worries about your pets safety. I have a lot of experience with different breeds , have cared for my own pets and I am the designated family pet sitter/dog whisperer 🤭 . I have raised 2 Jack Russell terriers from their puppy days to their final senior moments. I’m very familiar with dogs that need stimulation & consistent attention. I have also owned a reactive Pitbull, which taught me how to stay calm, observant, and proactive in managing behavior & high stress situations. It also taught me how to handle larger sized dogs that are very strong 🦮 he was a good 120 pounds 😆💪 I take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs — whether that’s exercise, quiet companionship, or extra patience. Most of all, I genuinely love animals and caring for them brightens every one of my days ❤️ i understand that pets are FAMILY. I will cuddle with them all night if i can 😂🫶 You’ll receive consistent updates (photos AND videos) so you can feel confident & at ease while you’re away ✈️🐕📸 Right now I am operating on a part time schedule for Rover and try to update my calendar as much as i can. I’m available for walks or drop-ins, and certain days I am available for daycare/boarding too. I live in a house with a very big spacious backyard that is perfect for pets to play, relax, and explore! Pets will always be supervised and clients will always receive updates, photos, and videos. Your pet will be entertained and in a house full of love!! ❤️
“I can’t say enough good things about Jessica! She went above and beyond to take care of my cat Pippa & was so patient with her, which is especially important to me because she is quite shy around new people. I will 100% be rebooking with Jessica next time I’m looking for a cat sitter”

About: I have been an animal lover since a young child. I have had dogs and cats in my home for over 30 years. My background as a Registered Nurse, Yoga Teacher and Mother of two sons are examples of my caring, calm, nurturing, personality. We have moved to Florida for my husband's current job assignment. I am looking to provide pet care to fill my days, at the same time providing service to others in need. Due to my non-rushed schedule, I can leisurely spend a great deal of time in caring for your pet. Your pet's safety is my number one priority. When walking, I will make sure they are harnessed/leashed securely and away from other dogs in passing. I will observe their mealtime diligently. A nice amount of playtime and cuddle time will be provided. Upon leaving, fresh water will be provided and all doors securely locked.
About: I’ve had all kinds of peta all my 57 years of life’ and promise to treat them with love and care like they were my own. I am taking care of animals full time with the exception of an occasional housekeeping client here and there. I can be available for your babies whenever you need me. I prefer to watch your babies in their own home so they feel most comfortable with their smells and toys. I believe this is far less stressful for them.
“Shannon is wonderful and I’ve enjoyed having her watch my beloved Gryffy (male tabby cat) when I’m out of town! She is mindful and communicative throughout her visits. Gryff is taken care of and a happy boy when I returned. Looking forward to contacting Shannon the next time I plan on being away!”

“Morgan is an excellent cat sitter. Our cat loves her. Morgan kept up great communication with us while we were away, and we felt very comfortable having her in our home while gone.”

“Debi L did a great job watching our 7 year old cat. He LOVES her. She took good care of him and his environment, she kept us well informed, and sent the cutest pictures during her visits. We feel fortunate to have found Debi, as she is an awesome sitter and person! We think he misses her now!”

About: Dog mom to three, including two senior pups. Experienced, patient, and attentive—I treat every dog like family and tailor care to their unique needs. 🐾 Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life because I am a devoted pet owner myself. Caring for my own pets has given me a deep understanding of what it truly means to have animals as part of the family, not just companions. I know the routines, responsibilities, and emotional connection that come with feeding, walking, playtime, and comfort. Because of this, I treat every pet in my care with the same love, attention, and respect I give my own, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and at home while their owners are away. I care for pets in my client’s home with patience, consistency, and respect for their routine. I understand that entering a pet’s space requires earning their trust first, so I take time to let them approach me on their terms and build comfort at their pace. My goal is always to create a calm, safe environment where they feel secure, understood, and relaxed while their owner is away. I follow instructions closely, maintain their normal routine, and provide gentle reassurance so each pet feels at home and cared for in their own space.
“Erin did a fantastic job checking in on my two cats while I was on vacation! She had great communication, and I felt reassured that my cats were fed and happy and doing well. She even went above and beyond what I asked for by ensuring their area was cleaned and that they played with their toys and she sent me pictures of them, which reassured me they were doing fine while I was out of town. Would definitely have her back if needed in the future!”

About: Veterinary technician with hands-on animal care experience Hi! I’m an experienced animal care provider with a background as a veterinary technician and hands-on experience working with horses, dogs, cats, and small animals. I’ve spent years working directly in animal care environments, including veterinary settings and stable work, where I gained experience with routine care, administering medications, monitoring health changes, and handling animals with a calm and patient approach—even in stressful situations. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I prioritize keeping them comfortable, safe, and stress-free while you’re away. Whether it’s a high-energy dog who needs structured walks, a senior pet needing gentle care and medication, or a horse that requires knowledgeable handling, I bring both experience and attention to detail to every visit. You can expect reliable communication, punctuality, and genuine care for your animals as if they were my own. I’m comfortable with special instructions, medical needs, and maintaining established routines. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! I care for my pets daily, making sure they have the best care possible. I hold myself up to high standards in my animal care, and am the person to ask when a pet is acting strangely/sick by family & friends, or when they need some pet care advice. I will be sure to have your pet as healthy and happy as possible! I can read animal behavior, and I can usually detect illnesses the moment a pet displays any abnormal signs. I also can detect any reactivity any kind of pet displays and change my behavior based on any signs I see. Be advised, I may fall in love with your pet(s) if I care for them!!

I make sure pets get attention and exercise, refresh water, and keep their areas clean and tidy. I’ll also send regular updates with photos so you always know how things are going.
“Aleksandra was great! Always on time, which is important for me, because I have a diabetic cat who needs insulin twice a day. She was able to give him his injections without any problems! Highly recommend!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lighthouse Point
I was really worried about booking any pet sitter because my older kitty was just diagnosed with early kidney disease. Sammie needs to be fed a special diet in a separate room from my other cat (who will eat anything and everything!). Courtney was extremely caring with both of my kitties and followed instructions perfectly. If I could give 10 stars I would and I definitely will hire Courtney for my next trip.

Debi was great , and we were really grateful she was willing to be available when we needed someone quickly. She took cute pics, played w/ Gia, and went the extra mile, hiding treats in Gia’s tower, and freezing some Churu in her slow feeder to help keep her occupied! Debi’s service was very much appreciated

Georgette is a great cat sitter and a wonderful person. Our cat fell in love with her. Georgette took great care of him, fed him, played with him and cleaned up after him. Georgette kept in touch and sent great pictures. She is reliable and trustworthy. Top notch!

I just returned from my trip and I’m hoping I am typing correctly here but I just wanted to say that Ashley was THE PERFECT sitter for my sweet boy cat. I was able to book her at the last minute and she not only came to my rescue but surpassed all my expectations for what one looks for in a cat sitter. She automatically sent me photos & a video, and asked all the right questions to help aid in taking care of Sachi. I couldn’t have been more pleased with her service and I’m hoping to book her in the future. I loved her care & concern to details and to Sachi’s safety. Ashley was awesome.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
