“Ely was great. She took care of Ariel with so much love. She sent me pictures and videos often and it was really easy to communicate with her. I definitely recommend her.”

“Angela and her husband are the best! Snoopy looked like he was having a blast playing in their yard with other dogs. Angela sent updates and photos throughout the day and made us feel so comfortable while we were away. I highly recommend Angela and will definitely be sending snoopy again. Thank you so much!”

“Ryan did an excellent job taking care of my dog, Colby. It was clear from the updates and photos that Colby received plenty of love, attention, and exercise while I was away. Ryan treated him like one of his own and made me feel completely comfortable knowing Colby was in good hands. When I picked him up, Colby was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I would absolutely trust Ryan to watch him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Arlen was great. We did a meet and greet before boarding to make sure everything was a good fit, and Lady, who is normally a very anxious dog, seemed super comfortable right away and immediately started exploring the space. Arlen sent daily pictures and was very accommodating throughout the stay. My flight was canceled the day I was supposed to pick Lady up, and Arlen truly saved the day by being flexible and able to continue accommodating her. It spared me the added stress of worrying about boarding plans while already dealing with the stress of canceled travel. I would absolutely book with him again.”

“Sandra was amazing, my puppy was on potty training and he stayed 3 days and when he came back he was asking to go outside and do his business outside. She is really good with communication and giving updates if asked.”

“Judy is a remarkable sitter. She is very communicative and so easy to work with. This is my second time using her and I couldn’t be happier knowing my dog is in great hands!”

“Coreen is amazing!!!! We were taking a usually long trip because of our honeymoon, and she was so helpful with picking up Greystone (GS) from our house when my friend had to end her babysitting stint for us! Every picture she sent of GS I could tell he was so happy to be with her and her family! They loved and cared for him like he was their own pup. The amazing care Coreen provided put my mind at ease that I was able to enjoy my trip without worrying if GS was doing ok. In fact, he loved it there so much he seemed sad to come home!!!! I HIGHLY recommend Coreen and I will continue to send GS to her any time I travel! Thank you 😊”

“Natalie is great! She took care of my dog for couple days and was in touch with me all this time sending me pictures and updates. Definitely will book her again when needed care for Bella”

“Carley took such good care of our pup while we were away. She’s super attentive and loving when it comes to the care of your dog. 10/10 Our dog loves her. I’ll definitely book with her again.”

“Very welcoming and loving to my pup!! During our meet and greet, she made. Me feel so comfortable and show so much affection and care towards my pup!! Definitely will request her service!! Great recommendations for a lovely home and care taker!!”

“Best dog sitters ever! I was able to enjoy my trip because I knew Milo was being taken care of with love and kindness. Thank you Austin and Hugo of keeping me updated throughout the week with pictures and videos. I will 100% be booking with them again!”

“Fantastic dog care! Fernanda runs a lovely little doggie day care out of her cosy home with a lovely yard. Excellent communication throughout my pupps stays. Lots of pictures of the dogs having fun. 10/10 would recommend Fernanda and family and will be using them on a regular basis.”

“Camille and Alan are honest warm and caring people. They are genuine. They cared for my Sami dog like she was one of their own dogs and one of their family members <3. Everyday we received photos messages and the most beautiful and fun videos of their adventures to parks, beaches, trails and an arboretum. At every point of my dogs stay with Camille and Alan I felt comfortable knowing my little baby Sami was VERY well taken care of. During storms Alan and Camille helped comfort Sami with hugs and by giving her our prescribed anxiety medicine. She was safe and cared for. Sami adjusted well right after drop off and took to Alan and was a great house guest. She is 9lb and is generally a very clean well mannered dog. Sami had a super vacation with Camille and Alan and went on awesome adventures- much more than she does at home (we have 2 small kids). So I am grateful she had a great experience, a vacation of her own, and got outside more often than usual. Thank you so much Camille and Alan. :)”

“Happy that we chose Eduardo. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. They were also incredibly flexible and accommodating, making the entire experience stress-free from start to finish. When we picked up Rockett and Nova, they were relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious they genuinely love animals and take pride in providing exceptional care.”

“Such a wonderful boarding experience for Mia! The whole family was so sweet to her and made sure she had everything she needed the entire stay. I loved getting so many updates and photos throughout the visit—it gave me total peace of mind. Mia came home happy and well-loved. We will definitely be rebooking”

“We had an amazing experience with Kelly. From the very beginning, communication was clear, prompt, and reassuring. They were professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about our dogs’ well-being.”

Saul was WONDERFUL. I was worried because our cat hasn't spent a night out of our home since we rescued her a year ago. Saul made the time to have us come with her to his place and meet her beforehand and cared for her just like we would while we were gone. We got daily updates and photos and he made us feel so at ease knowing she was being loved. We will absolutely book Saul again for our next trip. Thank you Saul!!!

Donna was the absolute best to my 3 babies!! I have never left them, so this was very new and she made sure to show me her house and how she does things with the dogs to make sure I was comfortable. She also made sure I had updated pictures throughout the day. I never had to worry how they were doing because Donna made sure she sent me reminder text and pictures before I could even ask! Truly was the best experience for my dogs and I!!

Elyse is the perfect sitter. She keeps you updated with pictures, video, and text messages. She has a backyard. And figures out what your dog's needs are. She watch 2 of my dogs figured out one like to. Sit on the couch with people and the other liked his own little space. She even went as far. As to make a little play pin one can crawling and out of. My dogs are usually distressed. If I leave them. When I picked them up, they were happy to see me but, looking at Elsye like they wanted her to get in the car and come home with them. l
We had a great experience! Georgia and Chase stayed for a few days, and we felt they were in good hands. Communication was easy, and we received updates and photos during their stay, which gave us peace of mind. When we picked them up, both dogs seemed relaxed and well cared for. Thank you for taking such good care of them! We would be happy to book with you again in the future.

Reagan watched Notch for me while I went on a 16 day international vacation. The stay was last kind of last minute as my dad had to go out of town at the same time and he is usually the pup-sitter. She was very amicable and easy to communicate with and responded to all messages very quickly. We did a meet and greet and all went swimmingly. She came to pick up Notch from my home. He appeared to enjoy his time with her from the pics and vids she sent. She was attentive to his dietary needs and his exercise requirements (he loves to chase his ball) and his ear and back scratch quotas. I’d happily use her to sit my pup if the need ever arises again in the future.

I have used other Rover sitters in the past for boarding our dog, however this is the first time a sitter has posted pictures and videos on a daily basis showing me how my dog was doing without me having to ask. I hate posting such good reviews because if and when I need to use Abdul in the future I don't want him to be so booked he can not watch my dog again but I highly recommend him for anyone that needs a dog sitter or boarding. Anytime I sent a message prior to boarding or during the boarding time he always responded in a timely manner.
We left our 10year old lab, who isn’t used to dog sitters, with Natasha for 8 nights. A few days before we dropped him off, she suggested a meet and greet, which was so nice and it went well. She was high communicative and sent us pictures. Gunner got to go swimming and they played fetch with him — his two most favorite things! They took great care of him! Excited to use her again the next time we’re out of town!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
