About: Hi! I’m Mike! I live in Long Beach. I work in the city 3 days a week, but I can choose which days I go in. So, I can be flexible! A little about my background: I was a volunteer dog walker at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh, NY for about 3 years. I would routinely walk strong dogs with a lot of energy and was involved in training them to walk better on leash. During the pandemic, while working from home full time, I became my neighbors dog walker for their Husky and 2 Chihuahuas because why not!! I walked them at least twice a day every day for almost 2 years. I don’t have a ton of experience taking care of cats, but I have friends and family that have cats. I’d be more than willing to help take care of your cats as well! I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I work in the city 3 days per week, but I can choose which days those will be. So, I can be flexible. If for whatever reason, you need to cancel, just let me know at least 1-2 days before. Thank you! My most recent dog passed away about a year and a half ago, which makes it hard to get another dog because of the heartbreak, but I have helped take care of others pets as they have needed! I know all the in’s and out’s of pet sitting. I have 7 years experience with animal care such as behavioral health, Species specific environmental requirements, Enrichment, nutrition, and medical care. I am available for drop in visits and providing walks to animals that would be alone for a long period of time. About: I grew up with pets my whole life. I’m a dog mom to a maltipoo named Norman! He is 10 years young. Norman has some disabilities due to a back injury a few years ago and currently in heath failure :( so needless to say I understand and don’t mind pets with some extra needs. I will treat your fur babies like my own because I know how stressful it’s leaving them when you need to work or attend to other things.
