I’m currently working in a high school so I am home early by 2:45 and have availability for the remainder of the evening! I stick closely to their usual feeding, walking, and sleeping schedules to help them feel at ease. There’s plenty of supervised playtime, affection, and downtime, depending on their personality. I have 7 years experience with animal care such as behavioral health, Species specific environmental requirements, Enrichment, nutrition, and medical care. I am dedicated to my work and providing the best care and animal welfare. I am available middle of the afternoons into the evenings Monday-Friday. I am available all day Saturday-Sunday. I am available for drop in visits and providing walks to animals that would be alone for a long period of time. About: Hi! I’m Mike! I live in Long Beach. I work in the city 3 days a week, but I can choose which days I go in. So, I can be flexible! A little about my background: I was a volunteer dog walker at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh, NY for about 3 years. I would routinely walk strong dogs with a lot of energy and was involved in training them to walk better on leash. During the pandemic, while working from home full time, I became my neighbors dog walker for their Husky and 2 Chihuahuas because why not!! I walked them at least twice a day every day for almost 2 years. I don’t have a ton of experience taking care of cats, but I have friends and family that have cats. I’d be more than willing to help take care of your cats as well! I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I work in the city 3 days per week, but I can choose which days those will be.
