Kristen was a delight from the start. She is so sweet and kind. She took care of my cat for a weekend, not only feeding him, but she also administered medication, cleaned the litter box and spent some time with him. I would totally recommend Kristen to anyone looking for a cat sitter and will definitely be reaching out to her next time I will be out of town 😁

About: I’ve lived with four different dogs over the years of different breeds, helping to sit, feed, and walk them! Also more recently I was doing pet sitting for cats and dogs in Australia, which you can see some of the photos and reviews in my profile here! I currently work from home for myself and have a flexible schedule to be able to accommodate dog walking throughout the week! Ideally a 24/hr advanced booking is best, but I can also “at times” be available for same day bookings! I feel it’s best to first meet the owners and dog together to establish a rapport and warm the dog up to me! Having a good chat with the others as well as any particular instructions as to the dogs needs/behaviors is key to a smooth and happy experience for all!

About: I am a certified canine coach for a local dog daycare company, with expert experience in play management, basic training, and of course, showering all pups with love. I recently graduated with a degree in Wildlife Biology, giving me a solid understanding of animal behavior, dog breeds and temperaments, and basic mammal morphology. I absolutely adore dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, from 5 lb yorkies to 150 lb mutts! I have experience with all age ranges, having raised my childhood beagle from 4 months to senior years, along with currently raising a 3 year old golden cavalier. I am currently (as of june 2026) working part-time as a naturalist for Nassau BOCES. I often teach programs during the day but am regularly available for overnight stays and mid-day check ins. My program locations change daily but are all located within nassau county, and can be shared with you at the beginning of the month. I take great pride in providing the best care for your pup, helping them to stay on your set routines. While staying at your home, I will provide enrichment, exercise, and basic training along with tons of cuddles and love. I can crate dogs or have them cuddle up in bed with me depending on your preferences. Walks, feedings, and drop in can be scheduled at your convenience, barring my schedule for my daytime work.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who enjoys spending quality time with pups of all sizes—though I do have a soft spot for the little ones! Long walks while listening to music and bonding with dogs is one of my favorite things to do. I believe every dog deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, which is why I take a gentle, kind-hearted approach—using soft touches, a calm voice, and plenty of patience to build trust and connection. Whether it's playtime, cuddle time, or a peaceful stroll, I'm here to make your pup feel right at home. I am currently working full-time, so I can only provide care on weekends. I am a teacher, so once the summer hits on June 28th I can care for pets all hours of the day! Safety and trust are always my top priorities—whether your dog is staying with me or I’m visiting them in their own home. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality and needs so they feel at ease from the start. I create a calm, cozy environment by using soft tones, gentle touches, and lots of positive reinforcement. In my home, I make sure the space is safe, clean, and dog-friendly, with plenty of room to relax, play, or nap. I follow any feeding, medication, or exercise routines you provide to keep things consistent and comfortable. If I’m caring for your dog in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I give my own—keeping things tidy, sticking to your pup’s routine, and making sure they feel safe in their familiar surroundings.

At a party, you can spot this vegan in the corner spending time with the family's dog. Driven by a deep affection for dogs and a desire to enhance my physical health, I am exploring dog walking and dog sitting services. This endeavor is not only a refreshing diversion from my corporate tech job but also a meaningful way to contribute beyond the confines of my computer. It’s a step towards a healthier lifestyle and a gesture of giving back to the world, one dog walk at a time. --- I had my own little friend and we spent 12 years together. My approach is tailored to each dog’s personality and needs, ensuring they feel comfortable, loved, and engaged during our walks. I provide nurturing care for puppies, ensuring safe and positive walks that cater to their curiosity. For senior dogs, I offer a peaceful companionship, mindful of their slower pace and physical needs. --- Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or requires extra attention. I am highly experienced in senior dog care and am always happy to accommodate their specific routines. **Some of the conditions I have hands-on experience managing include: - Insulin administration: Experienced with strict schedules and monitoring for diabetic dogs (which I did for our own beloved family pup) - Pancreatitis: Familiar with strict dietary management and flare-up prevention - Cognitive Decline: Patient and understanding with early-onset canine dementia - Sensory Impairments: Adept at navigating and comforting blind or deaf dogs ------ Above all, my connection with dogs is heart-driven. I strive to ensure every dog in my care feels like the most special pup in the world 💖 🕒 Work-Life Balance: Working from home means I’m never too far from a wagging tail. My flexible WFH schedule works well with any spontaneity needs. 📅 Weekend: Weekends are for adventure! Whether it’s a hike in the trails or simply a walk around the quiet neighborhood, I make sure your dog experiences the excitement and stimulation they crave. 🏠 Home Sweet Home: Above all, my home is a haven of love and care, where pets are treated as cherished family members. With me, every pet enjoys a routine filled with affection, attention, and the utmost care. I live in a small cozy apartment so they will be under watch 24/7.

About: I have had many breeds of dogs from a young age. I take care of my dogs with great pride. Feeding, grooming & taking my dog for checkup. Heartguard & flea & tick prevention. My love for dogs from many years still continues. My dog Molly is almost 8 & she is the love of our household. I started the love of dogs at a young age with my dog Lassie, then my family had Siber, a white Samoyed. We adopted a mix Doberman/German Sheppard. Then a female Maltese Chardonnay. My wife & daughter now are sharing my love as first time dog owners with Molly. We adopted her from North Shore Animal league. Any dog I would take care of, I would show compassion & care. I am retired from full time work today , I am available when you need me , message me! I am fully free on weekends as well so any time is fine! I was active in 2018 but now after 5 yrs , I am active walking dogs again . I am available for dog walking or sitting 7 days a week . When going on walks I can put on booties/sweater/jacket and harness if needed and then I would take them on a nice walk to help them get exercise, energy out and do all their business. I am very cautious to make sure they are safe and not eating anything random of the street or steping in harmful things.

About: I have pet sat and walked for many family friends over the years, have 7 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in both general practice and emergency since 2019, graduated with a BS in Pre-Veterinary medicine from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2023, and am American Red Cross Certified in Cat and Dog First Aid. During my time working I have had hands on experience administrating medications, and working with dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments. I’ve had cats since I was born and have had my dog since 2019. I absolutely love dog sitting and getting to meet and take care of everyone’s babies like my own! :) Pet care is currently my part-time work for this summer! I’m going back to school in September for my Radiologic Technologist program. Still need my cat and dog time though! I am very knowledgeable in both dog and cat body language, how to care for them, can give medications (pills, topical ointments, certain injections), and bathe if needed if given the proper supplies! I will always make sure your pet is safe, whether it be in the outside or in the home (locking doors, checking the yard, etc).

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages and with different needs since I was a teen. I’ve had two of my own :) I’m very active so love doing out door activities with them! I currently work remotely, so I have plenty of time to play with your furbaby’s! I am available to drop in for walks if you’re local, dog-sit, and board in my home. With a lot of love and as if they were my own. I have a yard but mainly love going on walks or hikes (depending on the dog). I work from home so I have a very flexible schedule and I don’t ever leave a pet alone more than 3 hrs at most I care for them as I do my own. My husband and I are usually home and if possible (depending on the furbaby) we always include the pups in any outdoor errand/activity

Nicole was an absolute angel with Lale during a very stressful time for me. From day one, I could see how kind, caring, and genuinely loving she is with animals. Honestly, the best review comes from Lale herself — she would practically hop with excitement whenever she saw Nicole! Watching her little tail wag and seeing how happy she was made my heart so happy. Lale felt completely safe, loved, and spoiled in the best possible way. Knowing Nicole was with her gave me such comfort and peace of mind. She cared for Lale with so much affection and attention, as if she were her own. I’m beyond grateful for everything Nicole did for my sweet girl. Anyone would be lucky to have Nicole care for their pet — and their pet will probably fall in love with her just as much as Lale did! ❣️🐾💕

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Lynbrook stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lynbrook choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Lynbrook with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lynbrook. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
