About: I have had a dog since I was 6 years old and been watching dogs since I moved to college! Families back in San Luis Obispo have relied on me to care of their pups for more than a week while they were out of town and take them on frequent walks. I have now been caring for dogs in NYC and have lots of experience raising puppies as well as administering medication to older dogs. I currently work full time as an engineer but have a lot of free time on the weekends to care for pups and much free time after work. I have a large open apartment with a beautiful grassy area at the bottom for the dogs to play and use the bathroom. I also have cared for dogs in other peoples homes and frequently take them on walks and make sure they use the potty.

I have never cared for dogs proffesionaly but I have rescued a number of dogs and cats and placed them in nice homes as well as owning my own dog, cat, and a bird growing up. Along with energy, I also have a lot of patience so losing my temper will never be a problem . My availability is open 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Thursday and Friday availability may vary, but I can sometimes accommodate evening or overnight care if a later arrival works for your pet's routine. When caring for pets in a client's home, my priority is to keep their environment and routine as familiar and consistent as possible. I follow the owner's instructions closely regarding feeding, walks, medications, training, sleeping arrangements, and any household rules. I take time to learn each pet's personality, energy level, boundaries, and normal behavior rather than assuming every animal should be handled the same way. I'll reinforce the commands and routines you already use instead of introducing unnecessary changes while you're away. I also understand that trusting someone with your pet means trusting them with your home. I treat both with respect, keep the areas I use clean and organized, secure doors and entrances carefully, and communicate if anything unusual happens. During visits or overnight stays, I can provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing and can feel confident that they're safe, comfortable, and receiving attention.
