About: NYC AREA ONLY! I must be able to reach your address via transit. Due to transit times, I may not be able to take a last-minute request. **Dogs I have 17 years of experience, cats I grew up with and rabbits I have 7 years with** I had the pleasure of owning a big beautiful rottweiler greater swiss mountain dog boy for many years until I lost him to cancer. I also grew up with cats! Check out my kitty profile to see my best friend, an orange tabby boy. He made it all the way to high school putting up with me before it was his time to go. Losing him was as hard as losing my college best friend, my rottie mix. . Outside of that, I professionally raised, trained, and showed rabbits for a decade and had a professional show horse while I was in college. With the passing of my big rottie boy, I couldnt bring myself to have a new dog and my schedule is too busy to own another these days so instead I offer my services to help other busy pet owners. I have worked with pit bulls, huskies, stubborn shepherds, all kinds of dogs from volunteering at shelters to taking care of friends dogs while they were out of town to just helping neighbors get in potty breaks and walks for elderly pet owners who cant always go for long walks. . I am in my later 30s and have experience in the hospitality industry, corporate security industry, airline industry, and medical field (ex FF/Medic). Your pet is like one of your kids- their safety and security matters as much as someone who understands animal body language. Your dog and I can work on basic things like leash manners while on our walk (its all included if they need it). Im available to take dogs out for walks in my free time. Must book at least 24 hours in advance. I will update my availability based on my primary job schedule, any time I am out of town, or unavailable due to personal life appointments. I do not offer in my home sitting (I live in a condo and the HOA does not allow large pets in this facility/only service animals). I am a will check on your pet house call and on the go dog walker only. If your dog does not have a harness, I will NOT be walking your dof for their OWN safety. Dogs can easily slip out of leashes. It also helps them with leash manners and allows me better control of them if I needed to move them quickly from a situation. I prefer to walk dogs away from busy roads/busy intersections and will take advantage of any nature trails nearby. Dog parks can be stressful on dogs, so unless your dog has playmates that it regularly sees at a specific dog park, I will not take your dog to an unfamiliar area and let them run free with other dogs where they could become involved in a fight. Generally, I walk them around their local neighborhood or on a nature trail. NO car rides (I dont even have a car). Your dog always stays close to home and in a familiar environment. Treats will be used for positive reinforcement but due to dogs having food allergies, I DO NOT provide treats. All owners must provide their OWN pet-specific "safe treats" and note ANY restrictions such as "Only one or two whole treats" or for bigger dogs, "5 cookies max" (these are just generic examples, its up to you to know your pets diet and leave instructions for what your pet needs). CATS- same deal, although cats typically wont take treats from strangers so don't be offended or surprised if you find kitty crunchies left untouched. Kitty churus/"tubes"- if your cat cannot have the whole tube, please leave a ziplock baggie that I can put the remainder of the tube in. I will only squeeze out the directed amount and then place the tube in the baggie and leave it in your fridge so it doesnt spoil from the coastal heat/humidity and so bugs cant get in it.
“Val was great!! Communicative and reliable — a true cat lover! We appreciated that she stayed to play with the cats for a while and didn’t just feed them and leave. ”
“Peggy was wonderful with Koda! She was dependable, communicative, and sent great updates and Rover cards during her visits. We felt completely at ease knowing Koda was in good hands. Highly recommend!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was my first time working with Kristin, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! 🐱💙🐱💕 From the moment I met her, she had such a gentle, kind demeanor that I immediately felt comfortable trusting her with my two cats, Oreo and Nala. She even started taking notes during our meet-and-greet, which I truly appreciated. Even though I already had detailed written instructions, it showed me that she was prepared, proactive, and genuinely wanted to make sure everything was done perfectly. 📝✨ Kristin followed every instruction carefully and thoroughly, giving me complete peace of mind while I was away. The biggest surprise of all was my super shy girl, Nala. She normally takes quite a while to warm up to new people, but by just the second visit she was already out and about hanging out with Kristin! 🥹💕 That is a huge deal and really speaks to how patient, calm, and caring she is with animals. Knowing that Oreo and Nala were comfortable, happy, and so well cared for made my trip so much more enjoyable. This was such a wonderful first experience that I’ve already booked future visits with Kristin! 🐾❤️ I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, attentive pet sitter. Thank you again for taking such amazing care of my babies! 🥰”

“Eleni was WONDERFUL with my 2 cats!!! I will definitely be hiring her again!!! Mochi has diabetes and requires an insulin injection every 12 hours in addition to another medication twice a week and Eleni was happy to learn and able to give Mochi his meds which can be a bit daunting and sometimes difficult depending on his mood. but Eleni was attentive and really took the time to learn and care for him properly! my other cat Kumo is a scaredy baby and rarely shows his face around people but Eleni was patient and really put effort into getting him comfortable with her. Eleni updated me with great details about how they’re doing and food. the weather was changing every day from being very cold and then very hot and Eleni proactively adjusted the thermostat accordingly when needed! she would turn on cat TV every couple days AND put treats in their treat games daily so they would stay occupied during the day. Mochi had an accident and Eleni didn't hesitate to clean it up and take out the trash. she really took care of everything!”

“Nateesha was great with my cat and fish! She arrived on time every day and sent updates immediately. She is really good at taking photos of our cat, and it was great to see the updates everyday. she loves animals and was very responsive from the first message I sent. We will be using her again next time we go on a trip!”

“Lisseth is so wonderful and has taken such great care of our 3 cats! She is very responsive and gives great updates each day. The apartment and food bowls were kept so clean and her relationship with our kitties made us feel so at ease on vacation. We have booked with Lisseth multiple times and will definitely rebook!”

“We knew our 2 cats were in great hands after we met Patricia for our meet & greet. She's friendly, responsible and she sent us pictures and updates while my husband and I were away for a weekend. Would love to use her again. We highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages and with different needs since I was a teen. I’ve had two of my own :) I’m very active so love doing out door activities with them! I currently work remotely, so I have plenty of time to play with your furbaby’s! I am available to drop in for walks if you’re local, dog-sit, and board in my home. With a lot of love and as if they were my own. I have a yard but mainly love going on walks or hikes (depending on the dog). I work from home so I have a very flexible schedule and I don’t ever leave a pet alone more than 3 hrs at most I care for them as I do my own. My husband and I are usually home and if possible (depending on the furbaby) we always include the pups in any outdoor errand/activity
About: A Home away From Home Hello, my name Walther and I specialize in assisting pets who struggle with separation anxiety and experience minor discomfort. I place great faith in the ability of healing and consider myself to be a compassionate, adaptable, and accommodating & loving pet sitter. About: With a genuine love for all animals, I've been caring for furry friends for over three years professionally here in the US. Back in Italy, my experience stems from caring for my own dogs, creating a deep understanding of the bond between pets and their owners. My services include feedings, baths, regular walks, and extra attention for senior dogs. Additionally, I have hands-on experience with senior dogs, providing them the extra attention they need, such as assistance with walking and more frequent potty breaks. Your furry friend isn't just another job for me; it's an opportunity to make sure they feel cherished, secure, and content. As I ease back into the workplace, my schedule is open and flexible, allowing ample time to prioritize and care for your pets daily. Your furry friends are a top priority in my routine, receiving not just attention but genuine companionship. Unfortunately, I can't board pets in my home, but I offer dedicated in-home sitting services. I prioritize your pet's well-being by maintaining their familiar routine, creating a safe and comfortable environment. I ensure their needs are met, from feeding and playtime to adhering to any specific requirements. Your pets can enjoy the coziness of their own space while receiving the care, attention, and respect they deserve.
“When I came back from my trip my cat who is prone to anxiety was calm but excited to see me. Dorothy went above and beyond to make him comfortable while I was away!”

Minyon us SUPER accommodating. Even with my hectic schedule and several emergencies at once, she understood and gave me grace through every step of the process. When my pups met her, they instantly fell in love with her. She sent videos and pictures every visit and made sure to take them on nice long walks... which my pups love. I would ABSOLUTELY book with Minyon again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Rosedale with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
