“I would like to start by saying, in general I am a skeptical person who does not trust people with my dog because like others, my dog is my child. With that being said, I needed a dog sitter short notice while I went on a family vacation to Africa and prior arrangements fell through. Hesitant, I knew that a sitter would be best for me because I didn’t like the idea of boarding him at a facility. My dog weighs 4 lbs and is still a puppy, he seeks love and companionship. While scrolling through Rover I found Diane and I am happy I did. She was amazing in every aspect. She kept me posted about my dog with text, videos, and pictures several times throughout the day. “Emily was great with Evie! Very responsive and also made sure we were comfortable with everything. Even though our dog is very skittish around other dogs, she made sure her own dogs stayed at a family member's home during Evie's stay. We will likely use her again in the future if we have to go on any other away trips. Sent a lot of pictures each day to update us. Also, Evie's stay was during the forest fires in Canada so the air quality was bad outside. However, Emily made sure that her air filters were on so we never had to worry about her or Evie. 5/5 stars!”
About: I’ve been a pet sitter for fish, cats, dogs, and reptiles. I used to volunteer at the animal shelter back home. I’ve fostered puppies and kittens for almost 10 years; since I was in high school. About: I’ve dealt with cats my whole life. I’ve owned cats as well as worked with cats. I’ve worked with cats at a day care that would board and currently work with cats that come from long flights or need to be out on to a plane. I also have a kitty of my own which I had since she was 4 weeks old. I learned how to bottle feed a kitten by being able to bottle feed her since she was so young when we found her.

“Marika was always on time and communicative throughout this entire process. This is the first time I’ve used something like this and she made the experience easy. I was away, but my mother was here to stay with kennedy, and according to her experience, she said she came on time and really did take care of the dog during his walks. He would be very excited when he saw her through the window and ready to start his walk with her. And when he came back, he was tired a lot more calm than he’s been especially for being six months it was really impressive. She’s definitely someone I’m gonna reconsider hiring again if I need her for this type of situation. Also would like to point out that we loss his poop bag holder and she replaced it free of charge with one she had at home. Which she didn’t have to do. But I still appreciate so much.”
About: I've taken care of many pets ever since I was a little girl. Always had pets in the house, dogs, cats, even guinea pigs and a mouse. I also used to volunteer as a kid at my camp to work with the animals in the stables like the goats, bunnies, and brushing the horses. As I got older my love for animals never wavered, so I went to high school and I majored in agricultural sciences and spent my first summer there on our land-lab taking care of not only an arrange of animals, but plants as well. I also volunteered at a pet store near my high school caring for stray animals that were brought in, and at one point a bunch of baby kittens, alongside my best friend. I have always loved dogs and cats most and would love to have them as pets again. My family and I started our pet sitting Journey when we used to live out in Florida, it's been almost 2 years now, since moving back to New York City . We have gotten the chance to sit many furry four legged friends, and now I have two of our own. We would still love the opportunity to continue to caring for other's pets as well. My kids and I used to feed and give love to some of the strays we'd see in our neighborhood, back in Florida( unofficial cat lady lol 😅 ). We cannot wait to care for your furry, four legged family member. Home is well air conditioned, space to accommodate a crate if you have, and will be able to give walks around area, or nearby park. You can rest assured your pet will get lots of love and attention, as my children LOVE animals as much as I do, and jump to the opportunity to assist me with them I'm currently working part-time, so I am usually able to give walks in the morning, and in the evening after 6:00 p.m. However, on my days off, I can give walks at least three times a day. I would be able to work out a schedule that might be accommodating for the both of us. I would prefer to have them dropped off during the evening's, after 7pm. We adopted a Maltese/ Silky terrier mix dog(female), and a Chihuahua/ Terry mix dog (male). I use our bedrooms (mine and the kids) to place them in, to accommodate while the other dog is out. Or, we can use the backyard or crate.

About: I have had multiple dogs of various breeds over the last 20 years. I have been responsible for being a nurturing dog sitter for over 5+ years. Dogs are friends to me and spending time with them makes me happy. I am very good at making dogs feel safe, loved, and cared for. About: I've taken care of animals since I was a kid. Through out my life i have learned how to properly handle dogs, Puppies, cats and kittens by watching my family members and by having my own fair share of pets. My love and passion for helping animals in need has made me work with a private owned foster care facility that worked close with dogs with disabilities to places like doggy daycares where I got to see more dogs that require special needs and see first hand how nice and or aggressive a dog can be. I’m currently not in school for the summer so that gives me more time for your fur babies. I can give them my full attention and time and give them the care they deserve and allow you to feel comfortable knowing someone is giving them attention If you require your pet to be in a crate once their walk has been finished or need to be sectioned off to a specific area I will make sure I properly do so.
