“Billie Jo has helped us out a few times and has always been great. Our old man can be grumpy and we are so thankful to have someone that he likes to come let him potty if we have a long day out of the house.”

About: I treat every pet like they are my own and focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Over the past four years, I have cared for family and friends’ dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities, which has helped me become patient, dependable, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I am comfortable caring for energetic puppies, including helping reinforce routines and basic behaviors, as well as older dogs who may need a slower pace, extra patience, medication reminders, or additional attention. I also make it a priority to keep owners updated with communication and pictures so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands. Pet care fits well into my routine because I have a flexible schedule throughout most of the week. This summer I would love to care for your furry friends before I move to start my first teaching job! I am organized, dependable, and able to plan my schedule to make sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they need consistently. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and playtime, and receive lots of attention and care. I also keep the home clean and respect the owner’s instructions for routines, medications, crate schedules, or any special needs. I understand that every pet is different, so I adjust my care based on their personality and energy level. Some pets need extra play and activity, while others need a calm environment and patience. I also make communication a priority by sending updates and pictures so owners feel confident and connected while they are away.
“Machelle was very responsive and easy to work with. She went out of her way to help us out when our petsitter was suddenly unavailable. Can't say enough about how appreciative we were of her attentiveness to our fur babies.”

“She is very reliable and communicative when she watched my 2 dogs for the 4th of July weekend. I am very appreciative to have found her and definitely recommend her to anyone needing a great dog sitter. Thank you Hannah!”

“Jenna did a great job for our cat! This was our first time using Rover. She shared updates and pictures after each visit, and her communication was excellent. Will definitely use Jenna again!”

“Heather is so wonderful and kind to our fur-babies! She knows just what they need and what will make them happy. We fully trust her with their safety and happiness. Love her!!”

“We were so relieved to have Olivia take care of our cat Simon while we were gone for 8 days. She gave us reports and took pictures to let us know how he was doing. Simon really warmed up to her. We will definitely use her again.”

“Even last-minute, Gabriela was able to go the extra mile to stop in & visit our pups while my husband & I are stuck working all day! We so appreciate her!!! Our dogs were so happy to get to play with her for an hour & enjoy the sunshine 🤗”

About: I have had pets all my life from dogs and cats to gerbils, hamsters and fish. Even as a young child I was primarily responsible for most of the routine daily pet care. I'm a trained CNA with applicable caregiving skills. I also have extensive experience as a shelter volunteer having walked the dog and played with them as well as socializing the cats. I'm currently self employed as a home care aide and wish to take care of animals in between assignments or during days off. I do not have any responsibilities that would interfere with me taking care of your fur babies. I do not have a fenced in yard but I do have a yard stake. I live in a townhouse with an open grass backyard. I regularly take my dog to The Liberty, MO Stockdale dog park and can take yours there too if that's your preference. If you wish I can walk your dog as many times per day as you prefer. My neighborhood has paved sidewalks and walking paths that I routinely use to walk my dog daily. I have one cat and one dog and each get along with other cats and dogs very well but should there be any unforeseen issue, I can put your pet in my spare bedroom. I also own a wire dog crate for large dogs. I can crate your pet in your home or my home if you wish me to. I will take care of him or her in whichever way you prefer. I do not crate my dog but I did as a puppy to facilitate his potty training. My dog sleeps with me at night as does my cat sometimes. Both are friendly and well socialized but again, I can put either in a spare room or your pet if necessary. Both my pets are up to date on their vaccinations and they get a monthly pill for flea and tick prevention. I can do everything from long or short walks, taking them outside for potty breaks, administering food or medicine, playtime, etc.
“WOW! LAURA was amazing! First of all, I booked with a different Rover person who had to cancel last minute and Laura stepped up without hesitation. That took a ton of stress off of me. Second, she was so sweet with my babies and took amazing pictures while we were away which made me feel better while we were gone. She went above and beyond and even printed them out and had them waiting for us when we came home! IT WAS THE SWEETEST TOUCH EVER! I hate to leave my babies at home but when I do I will absolutely get in touch with Laura again! She was the best!”

“Kyle has been a huge help working with our dog who’s got behavioral issues to make sure that not only comforts us but with our own dog. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who’s seeking help with those who need that extra time for your pup to open up.”

Whether it's feeding, exercise, playtime, or administering any necessary medications, I can be there to tend to their needs promptly. Additionally, I understand the importance of maintaining a consistent routine for pets, so I ensure that their feeding and exercise schedules align with their usual habits. Rest assured, your furry companions will receive dedicated care and supervision, as I am always present and ready to meet their needs. The way I care for pets in my home or a client's home depends on the specific service being provided. Here are a few scenarios: In the client's home: Pet Sitting: When providing pet sitting services at a client's home, I make sure to replicate the pet's daily routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding them according to their usual schedule, providing fresh water, cleaning litter boxes, taking dogs for walks, and engaging in playtime or exercise based on their specific needs. I also offer companionship and affection to help reduce any separation anxiety they may experience. Drop-in Visits: During drop-in visits, I visit the client's home at scheduled times to check on their pets. I ensure they have food and water, clean litter boxes, let dogs out for bathroom breaks, and spend quality time with them, offering play and affection. Dog Walking: For dog walking services, I take the dogs on stimulating walks to provide exercise, mental stimulation, and an opportunity for bathroom breaks. I follow any instructions regarding route preferences, leash handling, or specific behavioral considerations. Regardless of the service provided, the well-being, safety, and happiness of the pets are my top priorities. I strive to create a comfortable and nurturing environment, maintain their regular routines, and shower them with love and attention, just as their owners would.

Machelle did an absolutely amazing job taking care of Rocket! She sent pictures with every single visit, gave him lots of love, and carried out our instructions exactly as asked. I would absolutely book her again and encourage anyone else to book her for your sitting needs!

Sara H is great. Walter seems relaxed and would probably be content if Sara took care if him all the time. The pictures she posted were perfect - he looked happy and he often seems concerned around new people so this is a real plus. I will certainly book Walter's care with Sara the net time I need a pet sitter She is Five Stars!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Liberty. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
