About: Since I was little I have had a strong passion and love for animals of every kind. Dogs are definitely the superior though(shhh). Friends and family have always trusted me to take care of their furry friend. I have experience walking bathing and light grooming, basic training, and sitting. Growing up I had a beautiful cockapoo named Honey. I miss her so much and think about getting another dog all the time, but I am waiting until I graduate and settle down so I can give them a home they deserve. I would be so grateful to give this love to your 4 legged cutie! I am home full time, so I will have plenty of time and attention to give to your pet! I am very active, and go on walks/runs everyday. I live in a one bedroom apartment in Foxhall. I am a highly aware person, and I am always checking my surroundings and making sure everything is okay with everything and everyone. The safety of your pet is my highest concern. They will be in safe and loving hands.
“I found Ella at the last minute and so thankful! I appreciated the constant communication as she sent me pics at each visit with an update. Ella was so patient with Smokey Joe as it does take him a few days to warm to people. She also helped with meds. I will definitely reach out to Ella in the future to care for Smokey!”

About: The best part of my day (and my doggie’s) is talking her on her daily walks. Stella, my golden girl, is a strong one, but nevertheless, the cutest and most energetic dog there is. With that being said, I am physically able to walk dogs of various strengths and sizes. I work a full time 9-5 job, however, my schedule is quite flexible - whether it be morning or evening walks, weekend walks, holiday walks, etc. I currently live alone, however, my doggy (abroad), lives in the house with us. She sleeps with us in bed. We have a nice big garden that she’s able to play and roam around in for outside time. In addition, we live in a very safe residential neighborhood that we enjoy taking her out for her daily walks. We also live nearby a dog cafe, where we take her weekly to get some doggy social time while we hang around and sip our coffee.
“Steven was great- very communicative, friendly, have amazing updates, and sent tons of photos. He was prompted and played with and interacted with our dog instead of just watching her. We would happily book with Steven again. Highly recommend Steven for your dog watching needs.”

“Sydney is AMAZING! She's taken excellent care of our pups whether a long weekend or stopping in during the day. She is always on time and responds right away, which I appreciate.”

About: Along with being the go-to petsitter and dog walker for my neighbors, friends, and family, I have professional pet care experience through Gochenauer Pet Resort as a kennel attendant, dog walker, and playtime supervisor. I have learned through both experience and training courses such as Dog Handler Academy. I work evenings, so morning and daytime pet care is ideal for me. The more time I spend around animals, the happier I am, so I am hoping to fill as much free time as possible with pet time. I am unable to use my home to house pets (as my own cat is uncomfortable with other animals) but I am happy to come to your house and meet your pets where they are.
“My kitties were happy and well fed under Julie's care. She does a great job with the daily reports of what the cats were up to and their moods/behavior during her visits. Will book again.”

“Winter thoroughly enjoyed her time with Emily. She probably jumped up and gave her 1 million hugs.😳 I was comforted in knowing that she was in good hands while I was far away. Emily was prompt followed my many instructions and we will be glad to have her back.”

“Kathleen followed my instructions and she was very caring with Smokey. She was able to administer his medication on the first try! I highly recommend her and will keep her in mind for future pet sitting.”

About: I’ve had a family dog since I was 4 and have loved each greatly. I’m great with all, no matter how big or small. I will make sure they’re treated like the family they are. I have experience giving medications if needed as well as keeping to routines. I’m currently self employed, so there’s plenty of time and energy to spare on doggos and kitties! I currently work from home and can take my work on the go if need be. I’m in an area that’s very walkable and I walk daily. I don’t have pets of my own so any time I get with them, whether friend’s or family’s, is a delight. I follow care specifications of clients to a T. I try to make sure the animals are taken care of as if their own parents were still there. Making sure they’re walked, fed, played with, given potty opportunities, or simply left alone if that’s what they prefer. I care for every pet as if it were my own.

About: I’ve always had a dog in my life, and I can’t imagine it any other way. Caring for dogs comes naturally to me, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. Your pup will get plenty of attention, affection, and care—just like they would at home. I am a registered nurse and lifelong dog lover offering doggy daycare and overnight boarding in my home. My home features a large fenced-in yard for safe play and, during the summer months, supervised pool time for fun and cooling off. With my nursing background, I’m attentive, reliable, and comfortable following routines or administering medications if needed. Your dog will enjoy a loving, safe, and comfortable home while you’re away—and you can relax knowing they’re in caring hands. Flexible daily daycare and weekend overnight boarding in a safe and loving home. Dogs enjoy full access to the house and a large fenced in yard.

“Really could not recommend Chris enough. Our GSD can be very selective when it comes to meeting new people or people coming into his space. Chris was able to quickly get acquainted to our high energy dog and consistently went above and beyond to ensure he was given the care that is needed. We will certainly be using him again in the future.”

“Kaelee was very prompt in her responses. She made sure she met our Mya ahead of time and verified days and times. We appreciated getting photos from drop in visits.”

“Mikayla always takes the best care of Darin. She always follows instructions, and we come home to happy pup. Additionally, even though she’s doing drop ins, she treats our home with respect. Would absolutely book her again!”

About: I have two dogs and trust me they are a handful. I am used to walking and feeding them frequently. I have dog sat for many family friends and have had experiences with all types of dogs. Also I’m not shy to show love to any dog I see I am a recent college graduate, and I’ve moved back home and looking for some income till I start my new job. I have an open schedule, but I do prefer morning and early afternoon I love to be around the animals and will make them feel loved. I have experience with all sizes of dogs. I am able to have animals trust me and be on they’re level
“Heather has been a consistent sitter I've used for a little while now. She's been quick with communication and overall a nice person to chat with. Thanks Heather!”

“We’re so grateful for Austin and his patience, care, and attention to detail for our dog. He went above and beyond to make sure our dog was comfortable, watered, pottied, and loved. We’ll be booking him again!”

About: I have had pets (furry, scaly, big, small) my whole life. I’ve raised kittens and puppies and helped keep senior cats comfortable and happy. I had a house rabbit who mingled with cats. I currently have 2 axolotls and a tank of snails that keep me busy. I aspired to be a veterinarian but college level chemistry classes were too hard so I became a social worker and therapist instead. Even though vet school didn’t happen, I never lost the desire to care for animals. They are the kindest beings and deserve reliable, loving care. I work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule. I have 2 small kids so when school is in session, I do the usual pick ups and drops offs. I follow guidelines from the pet owner exactly. I can assess if something is wrong or if a critter needs special attention and care. I will never let your non-dog critter outside.

There are simply not enough words to describe what a fabulous experience we had with Zania. From the moment we first met her, both of my dogs adored her. Zania always arrived on time to take care of our girls, and she communicated with us regarding each visit. We LOVED her photos. We will definitely be booking with Zania again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
