“Michael was the most caring, considerate, punctual, and responsible person we could have ever imagined to watch over our dog. We booked him for two days of three visits. He put such thoughtful consideration into every visit. Each visit was perfectly on time, all instructions followed, and a thorough summary of his visits were provided consistently. I’m so relieved to have found a responsible person to care for our pup. We will be rebooking with Michael again!!”

“I contacted Kianna last minute for a first-time dogsit. We had some schedule changes, even right up to Kianna's arrival but she was prompt, very professional and handled the changes with ease. Caring for our older Jack Russell, Tink, she followed the instructions we left, even the new ones we hadn't gone over at the meet and greet. Our sweet old girl was well-cared for: fed, walked, and resting safe and sound on our return.”

About: I've taken care of dogs for over a decade from high energy (I have a border collie) to low energy (I also have a shih tzu), elderly, and everything in between. I'd love to make your dog's day by taking them on a walk or giving them an incredible play time. Same goes for your cats! Whether your pets love activity or simply want someone to watch them sniff in the backyard or hang on the couch, I'd love to bring a highlight to their day. Right now, Friday nights through Sunday are the times I have completely free to dedicate to helping take care of your pets. I'm hoping to add more times soon and options to board. As someone who searches for hours to find the right person to watch my pets, I know how hard it can be to trust someone new to take care of your fur family. Whether it's pictures, reassuring texts, following your instructions exactly, or all 3 I will do my best to make your pets as happy and healthy as possible. I offer drop in visits and walks, so please let me know what you are and aren't comfortable with and I will make sure they are well cared for while giving you as many updates as you'd like!
“Hilary was very attentive and punctual. The cats Frosta and Smokey really felt comfortable with her. Smokey is shy and Hilary is the first person that could pet him. I highly recommend her and we would always book her again in the future.”

About: I’ve always been the go-to friend/family member to pet-sit since I was younger! I have a cat named Kitty but I love dogs too! I’m looking to drop in mostly during the evenings to play with, feed, and walk but I’m available to overnight pet sit Thursday - Saturday. I’m a renter with already one cat, I can’t have any other pets in my home but I’m more than willing to come to your house where your pet is already comfortable!
About: Hi! I’m a big animal lover who truly treats every pet like family. As a teacher and a mom, I’m naturally patient, dependable, and used to taking care of others. I bring that same energy into caring for your pets. I’ve had pets my whole life and am comfortable with both dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or more laid back and cuddly, I’ll meet them where they are and make sure they feel safe and loved. What You Can Expect I know how hard it can be to leave your pet, so I do everything I can to make the experience stress-free for both of you. • Keeping your pet on their normal routine • Plenty of love, attention, and playtime • A calm, clean, and safe environment • Updates and photos so you know how they’re doing Experience & Reliability • Comfortable with puppies, kittens, and senior pets • Experienced with crate routines and following detailed instructions • Attentive, organized, and dependable • More availability on weekends and during the summer Why Families Choose Me My goal is simple. I want your pet to feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I treat every animal like they’re my own, and I take that responsibility seriously. You can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. My schedule is typically low-key on weekends, which allows us to be flexible and available for pet care. As a teacher, I also have increased availability during the summer months, making it easier to provide consistent and reliable care when you need it most. Pets are truly members of our family, and I treat them as such. I will care for your pet the same way, with love, attention, and respect. W I understand how much your pets mean to you, and our goal is to provide the best possible care while you are away.
“Mikayla always takes the best care of Darin. She always follows instructions, and we come home to happy pup. Additionally, even though she’s doing drop ins, she treats our home with respect. Would absolutely book her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of childhood dogs since I was 12. I have been responsible for feeding, walking, and playing with all sorts of animals growing up. I would be able to care for pets during the weekends and after 430pm weekdays. It is a great way not only to bond with animals but also get my daily exercise in. In a clients home, I would be able to feed the dog, play with it, and take it on walks like it was my own animal. For walking, I would make sure they enjoyed themselves, and add some play time in as well to make it more rewarding for the animal.
About: I’ve taken care of every kind of dog since I was ten. As an adult I have owned 3 dogs. My current pup is a goldendoodle named Baxter. Baxter is a spoiled boy and gets 2 walks a day and lots of attention throughout the day. Prior to Baxter I had a golden retriever named Cody and prior to Cody I had a golden retriever named Midas. All of my dogs have been to obedience training. I know all of the commands and am happy to practice those command with your pup. I live in a small subdivision and I am the go to dog sitter for all of my neighbors. I would love the opportunity to take care of your fur baby. I’m currently working part time (3 days per week-6 hours per day) so I will have plenty of time to devote to your pup. My job also has a flexible schedule. I do not have a fenced in yard but I’m happy to take your pup for a few walks a day. I live in a quiet neighborhood in West Hempfield Township.
About: As an animal lover and pet owner all my life, I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to put their safety and care in someone else's hands. My goal is to relieve your stress and give you peace of mind by treating your fur babies as if they were my own. I currently have one pitbull and two cats and wish I had room for more! I also have experience pet-sitting for family and friends. Plus, I'm open to caring for your other four-legged friends including rats, mice, guinea pigs, turtles, ferrets, rabbits, etc. I am generally available from 6-7:30 AM and 5-9 PM most weekdays and anytime most weekends. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have a specific day or time you are looking for! I will treat your home with respect and make sure it is secured when I leave. I will also maintain a safe environment for your pet during my visit and follow all of your directions to the letter. Your comfort and confidence in my services are very important to me.

About: Animals have been part of my life since I was 7 years old, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve loved and cared for 3 cats and 6 dogs of my own, giving me experience with all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and care needs. I began pet sitting at 16 and later expanded my experience into animal shelter and rescue work at 23, where I learned the importance of patience, trust, and compassionate care for every animal. At home, I have a sweet corgi named Sgt. Tibbs who is truly the light of my life. I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets, because I would want the very same for him. My goal is always to make your pets feel safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away with plenty of attention, affection, and tail wags included! I currently work full time in Reading, but outside of work hours your pets will always be my top priority during their stay and care. I’m available during both weekdays and weekends, and I make it a point to give every pet plenty of love, attention, playtime, and comfort while their owners are away. I understand how important consistency, communication, and trust are when leaving your pets with someone, and I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for every step of the way. I believe in putting your pet’s comfort, trust, and well-being first. For that reason, I offer care in your home only, where your pets feel the safest and most comfortable. Staying in their familiar environment helps keep their routine consistent, reduces stress and anxiety, and allows them to receive loving care while still feeling at home.
About: Hey fellow dog lovers! A little about me… I am a nurse and absolutely love what I do, but ultimately I just want to hang out with dogs. I work the weekends so I’m available all week long. I have a two year old daughter and a 9 year old mixed breed dog. We will take excellent care of your fur babies. We have a large fenced in back yard with plenty of space inside too. I grew up with three dogs, one golden retriever and two westies, and I adopted our current dog from pet helpers in 2016. I worked for PetStar dog walking company when I first moved to charleston and loved it, but then began pursuing my nursing career. I just moved back to Lancaster and trying to make some extra money while looking for another nursing job. I hope to hear from you! Thanks! I am available during the week. I work the weekends. During the week we like to go on adventures but we are also happy hanging out at home. We have almost half an acre that’s fenced in. We also have a screened in porch with a fan and a large loveseat that out dog uses more than we do. If I leave the house I more often than not bring copper with us. We go to the parks, Home Depot, the fields, the beach, you name it (if dogs are allowed we go together)
“This was our first Rover experience and Michelle was nothing short of AMAZING! Even though we were out of the country for a week, Michelle made the entire process so easy and we knew everything was handled carefully and professionally. She was open, sent lots of pictures and responded to all questions very quickly. We came home to happy, healthy dogs and will be using Rover again solely because of Michelle! Thank you!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
