Michael was the most caring, considerate, punctual, and responsible person we could have ever imagined to watch over our dog. We booked him for two days of three visits. He put such thoughtful consideration into every visit. Each visit was perfectly on time, all instructions followed, and a thorough summary of his visits were provided consistently. I’m so relieved to have found a responsible person to care for our pup. We will be rebooking with Michael again!!

About: I’ve taken care of every kind of dog since I was ten. As an adult I have owned 3 dogs. My current pup is a goldendoodle named Baxter. Baxter is a spoiled boy and gets 2 walks a day and lots of attention throughout the day. Prior to Baxter I had a golden retriever named Cody and prior to Cody I had a golden retriever named Midas. All of my dogs have been to obedience training. I know all of the commands and am happy to practice those command with your pup. I live in a small subdivision and I am the go to dog sitter for all of my neighbors. I would love the opportunity to take care of your fur baby. I’m currently working part time (3 days per week-6 hours per day) so I will have plenty of time to devote to your pup. My job also has a flexible schedule. I do not have a fenced in yard but I’m happy to take your pup for a few walks a day. I live in a quiet neighborhood in West Hempfield Township.

Susan is awesome! I have two very clingy cats that love attention susan gave them plenty of attention and laser pointer time, and she also was super ontop of the litter boxes, and one cat's medication. She even washed their food bowls for me and put my packages inside. Highly recommend!!!!

About: You can relax, knowing your pup will be treated like one of our own. My family has years of experience working with several different breeds and temperaments. We love them all and we’ll give them the very best care! I also have years of experience pet sitting, as well as, dog walking. We have fostered so many amazing pups and love to make their lives better. I’m home Monday through Friday so your pup will never be alone. I have had several clients that I enjoyed working with very much. I provide security inside and outside and give each pup lots of love and attention. I have a large fenced in yard, your pup will have full access to. They will be let out several times a day and played with. I have three small pups of my own, all under 35 pounds. I take the time to meet every client before their first stay to ensure everyone gets along and so you can see where your pup will be staying. There is also have a separate space to give new pups the opportunity to have alone time.

This was the first time I used Rover. I was a bit hesitant at first but I will say that Michelle was great. We received daily pictures of Scotty and when I got home it was as if I hadn't left the house. I will definitely use Michelle again for our next vacation. Michelle took great care of Scotty and for that I will always be thankful. I am definitely a repeat customer.

About: I have a dog of my own that doesn’t leave my side over night. She is very dog friendly but nervous of people. If ok with you I would love for her and your dog to meet and come with me to watch and care for your dog. I’ve had a full time job with dogs since I was 16. I have watched three dogs pulse my own at one time. I have given meds and insulin since I was 14. I have a baby and work 3 days a week at random. My baby and dog love other dogs so I’m happy to accommodate. I will make sure the dogs go out before I leave for work and as soon as I get back. If my dog comes she will be with me at work.

About: I have had dogs my entire life and every single one of them has had a piece of my heart! I presently have two senior dogs and one three-year old, who probably feels as passionately about dogs as I do! I have also lived with, loved, and taken care of several cats over the last 13 years. Growing up, I was responsible for taking care of my family’s lizards and frogs. I presently am able to control my own schedule and can make myself available for any last-minute or unexpected pet care needs that you may have. Currently, my only blocked off time for certain is Wednesdays from 5:30pm-9:30pm In my home, I have a fenced in yard to ensure that outside time is safe and fun. If you do not have a fenced in space but are still looking for your pup to have some outdoor time, I always ensure a leash is used to keep them safe. I have successfully used components of behavior analysis to build trust and confidence in my own dogs, while also ensuring that I understand their own behavioral cues to prevent stress in new or different situations. This includes shaping behaviors, frequent reinforcement, and pairing with new dogs to demonstrate that I am a safe person in their environment. Should transportation ever need to occur, I have a seat belt that clips to any standard harness as well as a seat cover that prevents climbing over the center console. I have a number of 6-foot leashes as well as 2 30-foot leashes to allow for safe running in open spaces, and an expandable 10-foot leash.

About: Along with being the go-to petsitter and dog walker for my neighbors, friends, and family, I have professional pet care experience through Gochenauer Pet Resort as a kennel attendant, dog walker, and playtime supervisor. I have learned through both experience and training courses such as Dog Handler Academy. I work evenings, so morning and daytime pet care is ideal for me. The more time I spend around animals, the happier I am, so I am hoping to fill as much free time as possible with pet time. I am unable to use my home to house pets (as my own cat is uncomfortable with other animals) but I am happy to come to your house and meet your pets where they are.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Landisville stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Landisville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Landisville with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
