About: I’ve been a volunteer at two different animal shelters, including Olympia‘s Joint Animal Services. I’ve worked with everything from tiny 4 week old kittens to elderly dogs, and I’m comfortable delivering some medications. As a former teacher and current volunteer educator I’ve passed many background checks. I’ve taken care of my own pets and those of family and friends my whole life, and I love getting to know new fur friends. I am currently working part time as a consultant so my pet care schedule is very flexible. I am available most weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Meeting someone new can be stressful for an animal, so I meet your pets with patience and attention to their needs. I strive to be a calm and safe presence although I am also happy to have fun and match their energy if they are looking to be playful.

About: I’ve had pets of my own since I was 10 and have trained dogs, cats, and fish. My fiance and I currently have two handsome fluffy cats, a leopard gecko, and a successful freshwater aquascape with tetras, a honey gourami, and neocaridina shrimp. I have had dogs for most of my life until about a year ago, when mine passed away. Now, I’m looking to spend some time with others’ furry friends. I work for a children’s museum, so my workday typically starts later and ends by 6. I have Sundays off consistently and a flexible schedule based on events and outreach during the school year, so I’m free to stop by and spend time with your pets as needed. I only do drop-in visits at present, but I would love to set up a time to meet your pets and get introduced to their care routine before I start to care for them. I am happy to do aquatic maintenance and care for exotic pets in your home as well, including reptiles, rodents, and insects. I’ve worked in professional husbandry for fish and invertebrates, so I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to care for all of your pets, not just cats and dogs, though I adore them too. About: Our dogs have been our best friends for 20 years. We give them the treatment they deserve such as tons of pampering, love and care! We are retirees looking to fill our days and as pet lovers we decided we should share that time and love to other furbabies! We had three beautiful Golden Retrievers, all now in doggie heaven ♡ We currently have a 4 year old, playful, male Goldendoodle, an instant playmate to your furbaby! We have a fenced yard and we live in a quiet neighborhood, close to parks and a lake nearby to take them walking! We are mostly home so we will spend a ton of time with your fur baby may that be on walks, quick trips to nearby parks and lakes (yes car rides!) or simply chilling in our zen garden. They are the boss of us! We care for them like our own and take into consideration what they are used to. Your fur baby's comfort is our priority. They will always have company and will never be left alone.

About: I have worked with both puppies and senior dogs, i have 2 poochon puppies that are 1 year old. I am currently going to school to be a vet technician and I volunteer at the animal shelter in the cat and dog rooms. I have experience handling all different types and sizes of dogs. Im a college student and currently working part-time in the late afternoons. So I have plenty of time to walk, play and give potty breaks! I have a fenced yard suitable for small to medium dogs. I have a large room that I can close off that has tile flooring and access to the backyard and also have pens if dogs need to be separated.

About: My love of animals has opened several opportunities to make new friends and provide support for my friends by caring for fur babies while they are away. I do have a full-time job in Olympia with great flexibility in my day. This allows me to make mid-day visits if needed for the situation. As I will be caring for your pets in your home, there will be minimal disturbance to their day. Any outings will be to previously approved locations.

My kitties are my family and Heather treated them as much. There was a storm while I was states away and she was only tasked with coming by once a day but she made an extra trip to make sure my cats were safe, not scared and to check on my house. She did this freely and gave me an update. I dont think I worried once the whole week I was away! She plaid and staid longer than she needed too. I received detailed messages after each visit with lots of photos. She was very respectful of my home and she is irreplaceable. Heather is more than a sitter she is our fur-friend! Highly recommend her!
Madisyn was absolutely AMAZING! This was my first time using Rover. We usually boarded our shepherds and had someone look after my old man. We lost one of shepherds suddenly in December so our situation changed. My dogs are my life and my old man is 13 years old and I know I don’t have long left with him. I am very protective over my dogs and knowing I have a senior dog made me so nervous. After I first met Madisyn she put my worries to ease and then continued the whole time we were gone. She went above and beyond what was asked of her. She always communicated and sent pictures. Even though she didn’t know my dogs she treated them like they were her own. Ket was truly a lifesaver and an absolute gem of a sitter. We contacted her very last minute, and without hesitation she was more than willing to step in and help care for our cats, Lucy and Peter. From the very beginning, communication was easy, reassuring, and thoughtful. We had already left the U.S. for vacation a few weeks before she came, so we scheduled a video call to explain everything in detail—our situation, how our fur babies were doing, their routines, and all the instructions for the house. Ket was attentive, asked great questions, and made us feel completely at ease right away. It was clear she genuinely cared and took the responsibility seriously. While we were away, she followed every instruction perfectly and went above and beyond. She made sure Lucy and Peter were well-fed, played with, and showered with love and attention. On top of that, she kindly brought in our Chewy online order and even took our trash can out so it could be picked up—small details that made a huge difference and showed how thoughtful she is. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
