“As always Robin leaves me the best happiest puppy in the world and the kitties are actually happy too when I come home from a trip we greatly appreciate Robin being there for us and our fur babies she’s one of the best I’ve ever had”

“Becky was fantastic staying overnight for my senior pup and four cats. She followed all instructions and my furfam were well taken care of and content. Becky is also very reliable and communicative. I will definitely book her again!”
“Johanna was great! Our rescue, Charlie definitely deals with some dog reactivity and fear aggression after a previous attack had him lose most trust with other pets. Johanna kept our high energy pup well exercised and sent updates all throughout the week, even highlighting his goofy habits. Johanna is good with communication and sends the detailed messages you hope to hear as a pet owner knowing they are just like family. There was a larger price adjustment after payment but Johanna was extremely respectful asking about it and I understood that Charlie was taking a little extra work than expected to care for. I would recommend her to anyone, Johanna was personable, respectful, and went the extra mile keeping our dog happy while we were gone for the week!”

“I cannot express enough how thankful we are! I have a rescue pup and he has some separation anxiety but loves making new friends and Zach was the perfect friend while I was out of the country. He house sat for me and watched the pup. I can home to a spotless house and a very very happy, well cared for doggy. Zach even played guitar for him while i was gone and worked on training with games. Would HIGHLY recommend. Not many people out there this good with animals. Thanks again! 😘”

“Diane was wonderful! Desto loved her immediately and had so much fun with Diane while I was gone. She provided plenty of photos and updates which was great to see. I would recommend Diane to anyone looking for a responsible and caring individual to care for their pets. I will definitely be using her services again!”

“All good with Ariana! The puppies Chidi and Ellie had a great time playing with Ariana's puppies, everything was in good order when I returned, no complaints from the puppies! Thank you!”

“Jerra did a great job with our elderly cat. We’re always nervous to leave him with someone new, but she took good care of him, including administering medications. He was happy and relaxed when we got home!”

“I've used Halle's housesitting services twice now, and have had a fabulous experience with her both times. It is so nice to come home to a clean house and a happy dog!”

“Chloe has been sitting our dogs for years now. She is so good with our dogs. She does so much extra for them and she loves them and they love her! I never have to worry when they are with her. She sends me pics and videos of them and gives me updates. She’s amazing and we will always use her when we can! Thank you Chloe!”

“Ami was a great sitter! She took great care of my pup while I was away for the weekend. It was my first time leaving my pup with anybody and she exceeded my expectations. I would definitely book with Ami again!”

“She took great care of our dogs and home while we were away. She kept us updated, followed instructions, and made sure the pups were comfortable and well cared for. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We came home to happy, relaxed dogs and everything in great shape. Thank you, for helping make our trip much less stressful! Most importantly, she was very sweet to our babies, and that means the world to us. 🐾💕”

“Melissa is a PHENOMENAL Rover. Above and beyond. We've probably used 8-9 rovers across 3 states over the past 6 years and she is one of the best. Took the girls on extra long exercise down to their favorite beach and cleaned them off afterwards, took our trash out to the curb even when I forgot to ask, kept everything clean and checked in regularly. Even started wash with guest room sheets before she left. Most importantly, Happy happy dogs. Pictures of Tova (our more aloof pup) snuggling Melissa Day 1 spoke volumes. Will absolutely book with her whenever we can. 10/10”

“Karen stayed overnight in our home with our dogs for nine days. The dogs were happy, the house was clean when we returned, and her communication was consistent with daily photos and updates, which gave us peace of mind knowing they were so happy! Overall, a positive experience — we would definitely recommend her.”

“Marnie took great care of our two dogs and our home while we were traveling for the Fourth of July weekend. She stuck to their schedule and always fed them and took them out on time and was very communicative throughout her stay. She also sent us lots of photos. Would highly recommend Marnie and book her again!”

About: I have 10+ years of experience taking care of neighbors, family, coworkers, as well as my own pets. I learn each animals routine and try to make them as happy as they can be while their owners are away. I’m experienced with dogs of varying breeds, sizes, energy levels, and ages. I have taken care of dogs that have just been born to dogs that need special medicine and nightly baths to be comfortable. I make sure that pets are safe and happy and will follow any instructions very closely. I can provide updates and pictures to the owners to give peace of mind. I do not have any children or pets of my own so my availability is very open and I can plan my schedule around the pets needs. I can make sure pets have constant care by giving them the right amount of exercise, playtimes, and check ins that they need. While in a clients home I can focus on maintaining the pets routine. I will treat every pet like they are my own and make sure they feel safe by following all instructions
“Olivia and Tyler were amazing! Last minute booking for a family emergency and they helped make it stress-free. Came back to a clean house and a happy dog, we will definitely be repeat customers of Olivia and Tyler!”

“Alexis did a wonderful job with my pit bull Jemma. Very attentive and sent lots of pictures. The stress of leaving Jemma has always been a problem but now that have Alexis I will be having him take care of her again”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lamberts Corner
Highly Recommend! Our plans fell through last minute and we contacted Heather at midnight the night before we needed her and she responded instantly and was willing to come and take care of our 7 month old poodle. Our dog was a little sick but Heather made sure she got all the right foods and cleaned up any accidents she had for the 2 days that we hired her for. She also sent us plenty of pictures of our dog while we were away, which we appreciated.
This is the second time I’ve used Johanna and again can’t be happier. My dog is still young and is super active. Johanna matched the energy with walks, puzzle work and throwing her ball. She informed me that my dogs eye was getting a little goopy, sent pictures, and told me how she was keeping it clean. I decided it couldn’t wait and Johanna took her to my vet and stayed in constant touch. She even FaceTimed me when the vet was doing the exam. My girl required eye drop medication and Johanna administered them with no problems. Johanna kept me well informed on Harper’s activities and behaviors and respected my wishes when it came to her feeding and care. The compassion and love she gave my dog meant everything to me. I can’t recommend her enough.

Our two little terriers love Becky! She has cared for them for a couple of several-night stays. Becky keeps us informed and is responsible and respectful of the house. We can tell that the dogs had lots of exercise and attention. We will definitely ask her to come again!

Madisyn was an excellent sitter for our Mochi! She sent several updates and photos throughout the weekend. She stayed at our house for two days, even offering to wash the bedding. She has a Google doc for her clients to fill out, which I loved - made me feel even better leaving our pup in her hands. She will definitely be our sitter in the future! Thanks again Madisyn 😊

There are good Rover sitters, and then there are GREAT Rover sitters. Wendy is a 5 star plus sitter. Our other sitter cancelled last minute, but I was able to get a message to Wendy before our plane took off and upon landing she had responded that she would step in. She had snow, a power outage, and had stepped in without a meet and greet and handled all that came her way. She sent regular pictures of our pets and it was clear they took to her right away. So grateful for her. One of the best sitters we have had.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lamberts Corner walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lamberts Corner maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lamberts Corner choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
