About: Hi, I’m Alena, a mom of three wonderful children, a travel enthusiast, and, of course, a lifelong pet parent. :) I grew up surrounded with animals - cats, dog, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs - and wishing to be Dr Dolittle. For over a decade, I had three cats, and nowadays, I foster for Austin Pets Alive. I have good experience with giving cats and dogs prescription medication and grooming. I often spend my vacations looking after different pets with Trusted Housesitters, and I would love to look after and get to know your pets! I have a flexible work schedule, so I’m available to board your pet any day of the week. I would love to take your dogs for a walk, too! For boarding, I provide a safe space and a pet bed in my bedroom, separately from my own pets. Dogs have free reign in the fenced backyard and enjoy walks around the neighborhood twice a day, ranging from 10 min to 2 hours, depending on their needs.

I live on a 1-acre property with a fenced yard and a doggy door for easy access—perfect for pets who are comfortable roaming close. For those who need more supervision, I’m always nearby to ensure they’re safe and happy. I’m extremely protective of animals and will go above and beyond to keep them safe (I’ve even removed a rat snake from my chicken coop—your pet is in good hands!). I’ve rescued lost dogs and helped reunite them with their families, and once even saved a duck with a fishing hook stuck in it. I’m patient with every pet, from wild little wigglers to slow-moving seniors. Caroline took great care of my 2 pups for 5 nights. She is a pro at boarding dogs, complete with a well honed process for introducing dogs to her household. Caroline checked in every day with photos to let me know all was going well. The pups came home happy and healthy. Couldn't ask for more.
We had to leave town for a family wedding and, unfortunately, some unexpected special needs popped up with our dogs right before we left. It was not an easy feeling to leave them in that state, but Jonnie’s care and attention truly put us at ease. He was so caring, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable, safe, and loved while we were away. Once again, Randi and David took excellent care of our dogs while we were out of town. They came home happy, tired, and calm. Randi took the time to send pictures and updates daily which helped us feel much better about leaving our dogs and knowing that they were happy. Would definitely use Randi and David again.
Our doggie JJ had the BEST time with Sabrina & Sean! They sent me cute photos every day and JJ became good buddies with their dog Archie. You can tell that Sabrina & Sean are animal lovers, they were so good with JJ. They have a lot of room for the dogs to run around outside and JJ was so well taken care of. Maddie is a warm, attentive, and responsive host. Her dog Ranger is also welcoming to new dogs. Our girls (Blanca and Gigi) enjoyed their stay. Maddie is super communicative around the booking and sending updates, which helps a ton for dog parents to relieve the stress of leaving our pups in someone else's care.
Nicky and Michael were amazing with my pup, Sammi! Nicky kept me updated with lots of messages and adorable photos of Sammi looking happy and at ease, which gave me total peace of mind while we were away. We’ll definitely be booking with Nicky again for future boarding!
